Virginia Beach HVAC Contractors Reviews

"This was the 4th time I've called on AJ and his team for HVAC assistance at various properties, and they really came through just as they always have. In this particular case, AJ worked very hard to get through a small, out of reach attic access and suffered through triple digit temperatures to diagnose the problem. As he always does, he took the time to explain to me in great detail what the problem was and what the repair would entail, and the estimate was once again well lower than what I was expecting to have to pay. Honesty, courtesy, and value are all things that I've learned to be able to count on with
Virginia Beach HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
. There have been a few times when there were minor difficulties with scheduling, but a postponed appointment here and there are a small price to pay for such quality, trustworthy service.

"We'll I'm glad I didn't jump the gun and sign. I called
Virginia Beach HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
and he came out and told me I had been misdiagnosed . I admired the fact that he didn't bad mouth the other company for what I took as taking advantage of my panicking. It is now the middle of February and my unit is working great. Honesty and integrity are hard to come by these days so to say I 'm satisfied is to put it mildly. Thank you
Virginia Beach HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
for not taking me to the cleaners. Highly recommended

"These guys were great. They really worked with us in arranging payment. We had them out for a couple of service calls on our old HVAC system which was on its last legs. They impressed us so much with that work that we hired them to replace the whole thing when the time came. They did not disappoint. It's nearly two years later and we haven't had a problem with the system since they replaced it, and it works great with our NEST thermostats.

"I contacted them with dates through their website. I put two dates in hoping they would call and they never bothered. Not sure why I assumed they would, so now I have waited a few days for nothing and have to try and get someone else.

"Last week during the cold weather on a night when the temperature
forecasted to be in the teens, we lost our heating. After a long
night under the electric blanket, I started my
Virginia Beach HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
for a service
call early the next morning. Mr.
Virginia Beach HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
returned a call promptly and
we arranged for repair at noon that day. I was pleasantly surprised
that within 30 minutes, his serviceman called asking if he
could come by immediately. I consented. He arrived, diagnosed the
problem, and then left to get a replacement electrical component. The
new part was installed and the system was operating in short order.
Total time at the house was less than one hour.
Their response was quick, the serviceman was courteous and efficient, and
the cost of repair was very competitive. Based on this experience, I
am comfortable in recommending
Virginia Beach HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
to the membership.

"We had terribly uneven heat in our home. Our master suite was at least 10 degrees
Virginia Beach HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
than the rest of our home. We had a maintenance contract with another local HVAC company. After months of frustration I called
Virginia Beach HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
upon a reference from a friend.
Virginia Beach HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
called me the same day and came to my house the next day to check out the problem. The very NEXT day he submitted 2 proposals which would solve the problems with our heat system.
Virginia Beach HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
brought his crew over on January 21 to start the project. Because of the projected snowstorm that day he added guys to his crew and they got the job ALMOST finished that day. They came in and immediately covered all the carpets with coverings. The guys working with
Virginia Beach HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
were polite, professional, and very knowledgeable in what they were doing. They worked together like clockwork and it was very impressive. The snowstorm precluded them from coming back the next day but
Virginia Beach HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
called to say they would finish Thursday. They all showed up early Thursday morning and finished by mid day. Before leaving they vacuumed the entire area and left the house immaculate. They also made sure I knew how to operate the programmable thermostat, etc. The end of the story: the master suite temperature is PERFECT! The heat is distributed evenly and because of the extra ducts in the great room it is warmer in there also. They also increased the sizes of the duct work so the airflow is much greater. It is just so much more comfortable in our home. One of
Virginia Beach HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
's vision statements is to be an industry that provides superior service and exceptional comfort to the client. He does this by employing highly trained and motivated personnel. Obviously it starts at the top so if you are searching for the best HVAC and more please call

"My house has always had variations in heating and cooling from one part of the house to the other. In the winter, the main part of the house was cooler than the bedrooms and vice versa in the summer. As a result, my thermostat was always set higher in the winter to keep the main living area warm and lower in the summer to keep it cool.
Over the years I have mentioned this variation in temp to different heating/cooling providers. None offered any solutions. In the fall the company with whom I have a maintenance contract suggested "zoning", but I was told by someone else that I need a variable speed heat pump which I don't have. They also suggested replacing the duct work and gave me an estimate on replacing it.
I had a good experience with
Virginia Beach HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
in the past, so decided to call them for another opinion.
Virginia Beach HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
went up in the attic with his thermal sensor (something the other company did not do) and was able to show me that I was losing a lot of heat into the attic He also said the existing duct work was not large enough diameter for the unit I had in the attic. (That duct work was installed before the era of heat pumps.) He also said they could install dampers to better regulate the heat flow from one part of the house to the other. The estimate he gave me was quite a bit lower than the previous company for replacing the duct work.
The duct work was installed over the course of about a week. Since it was cold, they supplied me with 3 portable heaters to keep the house relatively warm. Immediately the living area was much more comfortable, but two bedrooms where much warmer than the rest of the house.
Virginia Beach HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
and his daughter (installers) came back and adjusted the dampers and all is now well. There is very little temperature variation throughout the house. I have turned the thermostat down 3 degrees and can tell that the unit is not running as much as previously. I expect my utility bill to decrease, but the main benefit is being comfortable (finally) in my house.

"This review is a little late in coming but thought it should still be done. This review is the good, bad, and ugly. First I got quotes from several contractors. The one thing I was assured by all contractors was that there would not be any extra costs involved. Maybe we had a misunderstanding what I meant. I meant is there anything they could find later on that would increase the cost. This was the best quote and the reviews for
Virginia Beach HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
were quite good. We set up an appointment time and they were prompt and efficient in getting the unit in. The installers were very friendly.
Shortly after the unit was installed I thought the house was not heating properly. A service tech came out several times and he thought that was the best the unit was going to do. He did make some adjustments. I just thought the fan wasn't blowing hard enough to get the hot air out. I almost felt like I was arguing with him a little bit. On his last visit he put his bag down and blue sealant leaked out onto my flooring in my foyer. The initial thought is they would fix the floor. The unit was still not heating properly so the owner of the company came out and figured out that a part of the duct work collapsed. So this would be an extra cost to fix it. Extra cost that I wasn't expecting. So I was given a choice they would fix the duct work at no charge or they would not fix the floor, or they would charge for the duct work and they would also fix the floor. I didn't see much choice so I opted for them fixing the duct work at no charge. So I still have a big blue patch in my foyer. After that was fixed the heating was much better.
Shortly afterwards, a day or two, I get home to find water dripping onto my carpet from the ceiling in my upstairs bedroom and on the stops. I called
Virginia Beach HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
and they determined there was something wrong with the drain
Virginia Beach HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
and it was overflowing and the switch wasn't working. A new switch had to be ordered. I believe I was without heat that weekend. They did offer to but me a space heater, but I had one so I didn't need it. After they fixed that issue they came fixed the ceiling where the water was pouring out.
It wasn't too much longer that I noticed the whole unit would turn off and reset then turn back on. Like a computer reboot. They determined the drain pipe was clogged causing it to drain slowly and the switch was turning the unit off and on as it drained. That seemed to solve the problem.
Two years later unit started turning off and on again. It took them awhile to figure out the problem, and they came out several times thinking they had fixed it to only have it happen again. Finally they traced it to a faulty switch. They replaced it, but charged me. The part was still under warranty, but not the labor. But I questioned as to whether this was a problem from day one that was reported. I don't like the way they charged, one half the cost of the part is the labor charge. So I paid over $300 for a part that didn't take them long to replace.
The last issue I had One Hour take care of, but I wonder if this is an installation issue or something
Virginia Beach HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
should have alerted me to or had a solution for. My heat stopped working last week. The reason was the drain pipe froze causing the water to back up into the drain
Virginia Beach HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
and shutting of the furnace. It would appear I am going to have this issue anytime it gets cold unless I find a solution. I wrote to Carrier but no response yet.

"First a note on the ratings. The service tech gets all A's, but the person I communicated with via e-mail gets D's and F's.
Also the question as to whether I would us them again, I am really undecided. When you don't get the advertised price it makes you not want to go there again.
I gave One Hour a call in the morning after my heat went out the night before. They gave me an appointment that afternoon. They called me when they were on there way and was actually early and waited for me to get home. The service tech was friendly and quick. Discovered the problem and gave me his recommendation. Then was able to fix the problem quickly. At that point I would have rated them 5 stars but...
Their website list the diagnostic fee of $49 and they charged me $69. I questioned this via e-mail (the service tech knew nothing about this). Basically he knew what was on the website and I was wrong. I even sent him a link and cut and paste of that webpage. And his comment was the website has been unchanged for two years and he knows everything that is on the website. No explanation was given as to why the website says $49 and I was charged $69.
One other note. The problem was a frozen drain pipe. I had a question the service tech didn't know the answer to so he tried calling the office and couldn't get through. It seems like it would be a good idea to have a separate telephone line for the service techs to call.
