Window Replacement reviews in Cheyenne
The only complaint I had was at first it was a little difficult to nail down the start date. I'm pretty sure that I told them I was not in a hurry though, so my project may have been pushed back a week or so. However I think that the company was either really busy at the time or they had just lost some employees. When we did get the project started it was extremely quick. The product was high quality, and the company did a great job. The sales rep was really nice and helpful, the warranty appears to be excellent- we haven't used it, but it was the reason we went with this brand. The warranty is lifetime for basically anything that goes wrong. Plus a limited warranty will transfer if you sell the home. The windows installer was great. He replaced the windows in one afternoon. When I came home from work that day I could literally feel the difference that the new windows made. The siding installers similarly did a good job. They had me inspect the siding before signing off on the project when it was completed, and they also did it very quickly. The quality of the work was great as well. I love the way my home looks. They are also lead paint certified and test before replacing windows. If there is lead paint present they install with windows in the required way with no extra cost.
I would absolutely recommend them for others.
The service does take a bit of time from start to finish because the windows and siding are created specially for the homes that they are installed on. So after you place the order it takes some time (I think a couple of months) before they can do the actual install.
About a week and a half later, the serviceman for the siding arrived and began work. It took a little longer to complete the task because he was working alone and it rained almost every day he worked. It took a total of two and a half weeks. In his defense, our home presented difficult situations to include the house sitting on an uneven grade,a privacy fence, bay windows, shrubs that are extremely close to the home, and years of cable and wiring on the outside of the home, He was very professional and worked well with my wife and I. I asked if we could make a slight change in the color of the trim and he was more than happy to accommodate my request. I found his work to be very meticulous and detailed. He provided world class customer service and we couldn't be happier with the end results. Our electric bill has already shown a 20% decrease in usage after only two weeks of installation.
1) They took down my house numbers and not only didn't put them back up, I couldn't find them later. Had to buy new numbers and put them up myself.
2) They left dozens of scraps of vinyl, several screws and nails around the place.
3) They messed up my the cable TV line to my living room, and could only shrug and tell me to call the cable company. They also left a length of TV cable hanging across one wall to the cable box (which had previously been neatly tucked and secured to the sofit and said they couldn't do anything about that either.
4) They had to remove and replace my gutters and afterwards they left an end of the front gutter sagging below plumb, and when we had a hard rain the water came pouring out of the sagging end rather than flowing to the downspout as it should. I have called Lifetime about this and they promised to come and fix that.
The only difficulty I've had is in getting documentation of our purchase and installation to apply for an energy efficiency rebate from the local utility. The installers were supposed to remove and give me the Energy Star labels from each window. By the time, I had asked for them, they had already thrown several away. Its also been difficult getting an itemized receipt listing each window with the labor cost separated.
Nevertheless, we are very happy with our purchase. The price is a bit on the high side, but we liked the design and construction of the windows better than some alternatives. They also offered more and did a better job of finishing trim inside and out than other estimates we got, so I feel the extra expense was worth it.
really sure what they'd say to me by responding in 24 hours because everything I had said in my review was 100% true.
I was not completely satisfied with the work performed. And for the amount of money spent, that is totally unacceptable. I met w/ the
crap." There was some awkward silence & then he ultimately asked for me to pay in full. So regardless of how I feel about the windows or siding, the poor appearance of the gutters really detracts from the outward appearance of the house. To be specific, they did not "
I had a local roof & gutter company inspect the gutters. Not only should they have been tucked the metal straps under the asphalt shingles, they found 2 other problems. Two of the downspouts drain the wrong direction. So once the weather get's colder, water will turn to ice in these sections of the gutter. It will never be able to melt & drain properly. The second problem is that the metal straps should have been placed every two feet & instead of every 3 or 4 feet between them. So NOW I will have even MORE unattractive metal straps showing that should have been tucked. And since there are not enough straps, the ice that can't drain properly could rip the gutters right off my roof due to the "dead weight." Totally unacceptable.”
They forgot we were on the schedule, they were out of town installing elsewhere and did not call to inform us they would be late (had 3 phone numbers to contact us). When we called them, they showed up 15 minutes later - 2 hours beyond our appointment time and had only one person to remove and install the door glass. The individual there did not know how to caulk a commercial door and left a MESS on the new glass. Said he would send some one the next day to finish the caulking. Did not happen.
They finally finished at nearly 6:30 PM installing the glass and did not even clean it when they were finished. There were hand prints, finger prints, and an overall disgusting look (worse than the old glass) when they walked away.
THEN, to top it off - I received a bill the very next day with a net 5 payment term. Very unprofessional and less than poor service.
