"
of
was easy to reach via email on Angie's List, as well as by phone. He responded promptly and courteously" regarding the job, and his labor prices are very good. He selected the appropriate wood for my project, and knew where I could get the best quality for the best value. This is especially appreciated, and it shows a personal regard for his customers.
installed the trim with small nails so that prep for painting is easy, and it will look good when it's painted. He also sanded the cap well so that the joints are seemless, and it too should be easy to paint. He was personable and respectful throughout the job and was easy to communicate with. He was mindful that he was in someone's home. His manner and skills made the stress of getting the work done about as painless as it gets, and his problem-solving attitude was much appreciated as well.. He didn't stop working from the time we met at the wood store, until the time that he swept up the sawdust where he had been cutting. Although he's calm and easy-going, he's a very diligent worker. I recommend
if you have finish woodwork that needs to be done. He's one of the best tradesperson that I have had work for me.

"
Houston, owner, did an outstanding job of working with us and providing a hand drawn design for a handrail and railing on the front porch" and stairs. He offered special insights on the design of the project to blend it into the overall layout of the house, calling upon his long experiences in home construction and woodwork.

Carpentry/woodworking

Finish carpenters can design, build and install woodwork structures in your house to enhance the quality and adorn the attractive appearance of your home. There carpenters can complete several different jobs for new homes or remodeling of an existing house.

Baseboards and molding

Baseboards and molding serve a practical function -- covering up the space where walls and floors join, as well as protecting the wall from scuffs and dents. But they also provide a decorating opportunity.

You need a general contractor - prefereably one who specializes in additions, because you have excavation, waterproofing, concrete, concrete cutting, carpentry, door and window, etc trades to coordinate.

The cost will depend a great deal on your topography around the house - if the base of the window will be above ground level at least 6 inches, then could run about $500 for a legal egress window purchase and about $1000-2000 for installation, depending on how deep into the concrete you have to cut.

If the bottom of the window will be below ground level, then to call it a bedroom (which mandates legal sized second egress and usauully at least one window)  then you will have two choices - bring it out into a solid watertight concrete storm cellar with collar to keep water out, stairs, and and weather and bug-tight cellar door that is inward-opening, which means a lot of space for stairs and landings top and bottom, or bring it out into an oversized window well at least 36 inches in diameter, and with steps to ground level, with adequate drainage and waterproofing to keep it dry. Either way, sometimes about as easy to put in an outside door as a window, and might raise property value more. Cost from $2-5,000 depending on how deep into concrete wall you have to dig, whether concrete wsall needs reinforcing with steel frame because of the depth of cut, how easy the digging is, and what your water conditions are near the foundation. The last thing you want to do is create an easy water or vermin ingress with your egress.

Dictated by Federal LAW , you will need a Licensed and EPA Certified HVAC Contractor

to make such repairs . In fact , by law , ONLY A licenesed HVAC contractor can buy or install

said eguipment , NOT A handyman nor general contractor !

YES , You should have an A.C. sleeve surrounding the through the wall unit . These sleeves will usually accompany NEW products , either as a package or an add on equipment purchase.

Contact a Licenesed PROFFESSIONAL at once !

It depends on what type of ramp you need. If it is built out of wood you could look for a carpenter or a deck company. If you are looking for a concrete ramp a mason would be what you are looking for. There are also metal ramps and I believe some medical supply companies may carry them or be able to steer you in the right direction. As for insurance coverage I am not sure. You may have coverage and would be best talking to your agent. Depending on why you need this ramp there may even be programs through your local government or even some of the local charities might help. It might be a project a local Scout Troop might help out on.

BJ and crew did an excellent job. From the beginning BJ had everything covered to the dot and also recommended some great ideas that I built into the project. Everything was detailed and done with very good quality. The crew was always on time and on the day that BJ estimated. They had to work with 2 other contractors at the same time and there were no issues what so ever. The project also came in at estimated budget which is always a relief since these type of work tend to run over always. We are extremely happy with how everything turned out and I am already planning my next project and will definitely hire
Ranson Carpenters Provider Name Locked
for the job.

Took forever to get the job scheduled and every time I had to reach them. Came out the one day and then needed to come back another day and said would send samples and color options. I picked my style and then it took a while to schedule that again. When they did come out he put up crown molding and then had someone else come over to touch up and paint. She wasn't able to finish that job so needed to schedule another day for her to do that. After I noticed there is a nail sticking out of the molding. Notified to have them fix that. It had to have been like that and just painted over. Said he would schedule a time to come out and fix that, but haven't heard back. So we will fix it our self.

is a really nice guy, and even though he didn't do any work for me, I recommend him and will call him in the future. I had hired a contractor to repair my two-story, wooden porch columns that were rotting and had carpenter ant damage. The day of the repairs, the contractor never showed up and never returned my phone calls....More /> I called
Ranson Carpenters Provider Name Locked
after I found his name on Angie's List. He was able to come that very day and look at my problem.
Ranson Carpenters Provider Name Locked
showed me that I have more structural damage to the columns than we originally thought, and that work was beyond the scope of his business. Luckily, he recommended another builder to me, and
Ranson Carpenters Provider Name Locked
was nice enough to wait with me while I called that builder and set up an appointment. What a nice guy! I will definitely think of him for future work
