"
, the owner, walked our neighborhood this past Spring, letting us know about his family business's services. We contacted him and he" has been our "lawn guy" ever since. His work ethic is outstanding, and the attention to detail is refreshing. After trying two other lawn services, which didn't work out, we feel that we have found the best in the area!

"Bought a special deal off the list. Freedom was able to come the same week I ordered. They responded to my purchase within the hour and came early Sat. morning." They even put down weed inhibitor before the mulch went in. Since I bought a "deal", I did some of the prep work myself, but his crew still went in and cleared weeds and leaves from the back side of the shrubs and made sure the mulch covered all the beds evenly. After nearly three months of Fall and Winter, the mulch remains intact and my perennials have been protected from recent freezing temps.

How to Get Rid of Springtails

One of the most effective ways to control springtails is to dry out the infested area. Springtails require a high-moisture environment to breed and thrive, living mostly off of algaes that grow in moist conditions. They will either leave the infested area or die out. If there is an infestation that cannot be controlled by drying out the infested area, use an appropriately labeled insecticide with a residual time These will typically be a liquid concentrate form, a wet-able powder form, or a dust product.  DO NOT APPLY UNTIL AREAS ARE DRY.  If area will not dry naturally, use Corn Starch to soak-up any lingering moisture and otherwise 'steer' any rain water or irrigation away from area.

Also, if there is a noticed springtail infestation around the perimeter of the structure, use the insecticide to do a barrier treatment and apply corn starch to reduce or eliminate moisture. Caulk and seal all cracks and crevices and inspect potted plants before they are brought into the house.

I would talk to your local lawn and garden supply store (or mill and feed) - NOT a box store or hardware store. There are also selective grass control chemicals. YOu can research this by Googling using search string      "Tall Fescue Control" - there are lots of articles by the USDA and individual state cooperative extension services.

There is a treatment called chlorsulfuron TFC (Tall Fescue Control) that will do this - it worked for me in western New York, but took 3 years to finish out all the tall fescue. It may now be limited to use by commercial applicators - pretty potent stuff. Can yellow bluegrass or make it phytosensitive, but our looked OK during treatment because the TFC was applied in the fall for best results, and our lawn was dormant till spring anyway.

Tall fescue can also be controlled by real short mowing, but only in areas where the bluegrass is dominant and really thrives so will eventually crowd out the trimmed fescue, but you may be too far north for that.

was very quick to answer my (many) questions over email prior to coming over to do the work. I wanted to be home when the work was done, so we arranged for a day that I could be there. He was very easy to work with. Clean-up was done very nicely and the yard looks great!

We contacted Mr
Martinsburg Lawn Services Provider Name Locked
to see how much it would cost to install a new entry door, replace a section of rotted subfloor and Installl new laminate flooring on a landing. He provided a reasonable quote so we agreed to move forward. It was very cold for a few weeks so the install was delayed a little.
Our door had already been delivered and I purchased all of the moulding, the wood for the subfloor as well as the new laminate flooring. I have a table saw and miter saw so I told Mr
Martinsburg Lawn Services Provider Name Locked
he could use those instead of lugging his own to our house. That must have been misinterpreted as me saying they didn't need to bring any of the tools or supplies needed to do the job. I'm not sure that they used any of their own tools because everything I saw them use belonged to me.

, squares, tape measures, levels and the other basic tools for, this job were all mine. That seemed strange at the time but I figured it didn't matter as long and they got the work done. I have a supply of nails, screws and other fasteners but I wasn't prepared to supply everyone needed to do this job. They didn't bring any supplies so they apparently made due with what I had.
They spent the majority of the day working and finished in the mid afternoon. When they finished I quickly looked over everything, it appeared to ok so I paid them and the left. I could see a few splits in the new trim but I was trying to work from home that day and didn't really have time to go through what appeared to be minor flaws. I figured I could redo that little bit of trim myself later that evening. When I took a closer look at the trim I saw that they used nails that were way too big, that's why it was split, and there were a lot more splits that I initially thought. At that time I also noticed several really bad cuts in the laminate and the trim was barely covering some of them. There is even a 1 inch gap between the new floor and the door threshold that was covered up by a piece of quarter round. I went to the garage to find some leftover laminate so I could find a way to patch a couple of the holes, there wasn't any in the garage. We had to purchase two boxes of the laminate because one would have left us just a

short. Even with a lot of errors we should have had at least 1/2 box left over. Because of the splits I ended up replacing all of the new baseboard, quarter round and door casing. They took all of the leftover materials so I don't have any scraps to work with.
We mainly use the garage as our entrance so the front door does not get a lot of use. Over the next couple of days we noticed that the top was very wobbly when the door was closed. I called a few people to ask what could cause that and I was told to find all of the screws that attached the door to the house. There were 4, 2 on each side. I was then told to remove the brick
Martinsburg Lawn Services Provider Name Locked
to see what was under it. There was some loose fiberglass insulation stuffed in there (not the spray foam that I purchased for this purpose) and no shims. I also saw that the door jamb was severely bowed in several places. It was determined that the door needed to be reinstalled properly. Then they found that there was no adhesive or caulk on the door sill, it just moved when the door was closed.
After everything was said and done we had to replace all of the interior moulding that was installed, properly reinstall the entry door, properly insulate and replace some of the brickmould. Big chunks were missing out of the sides of the brick

After a few days my wife was able to reach Mr
Martinsburg Lawn Services Provider Name Locked
. She told him what we found and what had to be done to fix it. He was very rude and responded by saying "what do you want me to do about it?" She explained that she would like him to make it right in some way, maybe a partial refund. It took a lot of money to have all of this redone. This call ended with him saying he would not do anything about it then hung up on my wife. What kind of person does that? Not only is he bad at is type of work he is a horrible person.
He does have some good reviews for work related to lawn care. Maybe he should stick to that. I will never use him for anything he claims to be able to do. I have and will continue to tell everyone I know who needs a handyman about this experience.

They sent someone out to do the work without even telling me they were coming. My mother chased them off. When we contacted them, they said they didn't send anyone out yet and they were getting around to scheduling us. We had another project going on at the house which would have been in the way of getting this work done.
They eventually sent someone out and did the work but I didn't know they were coming. In the end it turned out ok. It didn't interfere with my other project but I was really disappointed with the lack of communication with this company.

My wife and I had been looking for a company to come out and trim all our landscaping. I reached out to one company but they didn't service our area but asked if they could forward my information to another company that did service our area. The next morning I received a call from

at
Martinsburg Lawn Services Provider Name Locked
. I explained that I was looking to get 2 River Birches and 2 Crepe Myrtles trimmed as well as some future landscaping we were hoping to get done in the Spring. We set up a time that same afternoon for him to come out and get a look at what the job would require. While he was taking pictures and looking over the landscape I asked if it would be possible to get our

bushes pruned as well. He said it isn't a problem and would include those in the quote. He came back with a great price and we set up a time for him to begin work a couple days later. What I liked the most was that he notified me (via text) that he arrived at the house and he notified me again when the work was completed. When I got home that afternoon I was amazed on how much better everything looked. He did an wonderful job and we will be bringing him back in the Spring to plant some hedges and to do some additional
