"She did blood work and was honest and told me to see a specialist. I have since gotten side tracked and to another doctor that I was not happy with. I have an appointment" to go back to she a great doctor with an excellent bedside manner

-Mary K.

"Prescribed muscle relaxants. Had positive UTI but decided was not related to issue. Two weeks later still. In pain. Ordered MRI. Had second UTI but no infection" when cultured, so still not related. (Blood in urine triggers false positive). Nothing showed on MRI. Said they had done all they could and just keep taking meds. Two weeks later (in severe pain entire time) saw blood in urine and went to emergency room. ER dIagnosed kidney stone. Dr.
should have been.able to diagnose kidney stone after first UTI positive. Instead, had her nurse tell me to go away. Should have sued for malpractice. Maybe I would own her beach house now. Stay away!!

Internal Medicine reviews in Crab Orchard

They had a failure to identify the vastness of my injury and they did everything possible to slow the referral process and to get in the way of proper care of my injury. I sustained a traumatic brain injury and the key time for treatment is 1-3 months. They took up two of those months. The staff up at the front were particularly bad and deceptive in many ways. When health records were requested, they withheld certain things. If someone needs to go there for a workman’s comp, they should request to see their primary care doctor.
- Scott N.

I started going to her when my other doctor retired. She runs an excellent office. I go to her every three months. She is very good. She will talk to me about what is going on and gives me a written report. She prepares for whatever we're doing at the time and she explains things clearly.
- James S.

She's been my primary doctor for over 10 years and over the years, I've had a lot of different doctors and I would say she's definitely on the top list. She always takes the time. She's a very caring doctor. She really has care for her patients. She always takes the time asking about your health. She's so genuine and sincere. They're very good with communication.
- Doug C.

The reception staff's demeanor leaves quite a bit to be desired. Every time I've called I've been lectured to about the processes, routinely left on hold for 10+ minutes, outright laughed at when expressing an expectation that I speak to the doctor about test results, or just plain ignored. Responsiveness is close to nil, I've had to call for test results every time and follow up without at least a few calls. Prescriptions are routinely miscommunicated, providing for long waits or returns to the pharmacy. Recently I've been dealing with a persistent headache; three months, over a thousand dollars in copays, prescriptions, MRIs and eyeglasses, and eight doctors visits later I've been told, we don't know what the problem is. Drink more water... I've had Office Manager's providing medical analysis, staff reading off technical results as if I'm supposed to interpret them myself and general unresponsiveness. Personally, I'd steer clear of this practice.

runs her practice very efficiently. They don't overschedule her. I never have to wait more than about 15 to 20 minutes, at the most. She takes all the time that I need to answer my questions and explain things to me. If there has been any abnormality in my lab work, she personally calls me to follow up.
- Brenda B.

Scheduled an appontmemt on a timely manner. Got accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. The only problem I've ever had with this practice is with the front office. Slow to return calls.

- Dorothy E.

I ended up not being able to breathe a few hours after that appointment and my husband had to call 911. I was admitted to the hospital and treated. Had I just had a chest xray while in his office that day, I might not have ended up in my first ambulance ride and scared that I was going to die.
Visits since that time have gone better, but the nurse still is very condescending. But, I don't count on the nurse for my care.
- Bonna M.

My second visit in June, 2013, was a waste of my time. I had a sore throat, neck swelling, and was feeling quite sick. Dr. Czanko, who had one arm in a caste at this time, barely examined me. Perhaps she was also feeling unwell due to her arm injury, but then she should have taken a leave. I had to visit a new doctor to get an accurate diagnosis and treatment, and I never returned to Dr. Czanko.
- Linda M.
