"I just love the way
had rearranged my furniture design, now looks nice with an open comtemporary look! he has a very cheerful disposition," I had fun working with him. He share his professional creativeness in interior design very
, respects yet he listens to my concerns, and my preference for design in my living room. I will definitely recommend him again and again. The money that I spend is very worth it, reasonable for an expensive interior design style!! Dr.

I know you said you didn't want a realtor but I do know someone who is good.  Her name is Pam Hunt and she is with William E. Wood.

Otherwise I would check out interior designers.  They could make suggestions and outline some finer details that could help you stage your home.

In the meantime start packing away those personal momentos and pictures.  Clear and clean the walls.  Go with a neutral paint color throughout the house.  Oyster by Behr is a classic.  Start getting rid of clutter.  If you haven't worn it in 3 years or used it in 5....pitch it.  Depending on how long you have lived in your home the accumulation of "things" could be tremendous. Donate your unwanted and unused to a thrift store.  It is tax deductible. Get appliances off the counters in the kitchen.  Buyers want to imagine "their" things sitting there.  Get rid of heavy drapes and go with  sheers consistent throughout the house.  Make rooms look larger by chucking some furniture.  Sell it or put it in storage until you have moved.  How is the floor?   Carpet removed may reveal beautiful hardwoods that are in high demand right now.  Pets?  Get someone to come give you the "sniff" test.  We grow acustomed to the smell of our house and might not recognize pet stinkies. Make everything shine by cleaning thoroughly, and let in the light.  Bright rooms are inviting.  Dark rooms are depressing. These things will give you a head start and clear your mind for some good ides.  Good luck with your interior designer.

I have lost count of how many kitchens I have remodeled and I prefer Brushed Stainless Steel sinks. Polished will show scratched more  and with the brushed finish if you wipe with the grain with a milld scrub pad and an old time product called Bar Keepers Friend the look good almost forever. If you have any concerns about scratches in the bottom you can use a grid when needed, most sink manufacturers make them for their sinks. You say you have stains in a solid surface siink and it is probably the older generation. The newer ones have a high stone content to the mix and are less prone to this but I still prefer stainless.

Unclutterer had a post about this a few months back. While I didn't use the photo gallery method she suggested, I did check out the comments to find some other interesting solutions: http://unclutterer.com/2011/04/04/easily-hang-an-organized-photo-gallery-with-the-perfectpicturewall/

The colors she picked worked very well. She even helped me pick out a color to match the wallpaper that I had chosen for my daughter's room. It's all done now and looks great!

We had used
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
in the past for the interior paint in our home. She came out midday (she prefers that) with the back of her car loaded with books of large paint chip samples. We told her we wanted to go light (the house was medium brown with no trim color) and we started from there.
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
looked at the paint chips I had picked up from the paint store and IMMEDIATELY commented on which would be too pink, yellow, etc..
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
first gets the main color and works from there. We selected a Navajo White after going outside in the sun and shade and seeing how it would look next to the trees, walkway and patio. Once that base color was selected,
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
taped a 5 by 7 inch paint chip of our selected color on our wall. We then did the same for the trim color; we made sure it worked with our base color, looked at it in sun and shade, made sure it worked with the walkway, trees and patio, etc. We did that for another trim color and for
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
of a lengthy pony wall. My husband and I have bold, non-conforming, eclectic tastes and
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
gets it. By the end of the process, you have your paint color selections (large chips) taped together on your wall for you to
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
. The house looks SO chic and unlike any in the area. Everything works. My husband and I love the process of selecting colors (with the help of
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
) that we'd NEVER select on our own. At first there is slight discomfort that is quickly followed by a calm and assured feeling that everything will work and look great. If you have ever painted a room or entire house the wrong color (as we have), want something different but are not sure what, want to avoid the

Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
and
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
are a fabulous team. They are gifted in the area of design, excellent communicators, natural ability to listen to the needs of a client, and transform ideas to a design plan. Their design element is amazing.

I appreciated their ability to work within a budget, to offer different avenues to use their services and stay within the price margin. They are respectful of the needs of the client and their is no pressure to spend more than what you have agreed on. They are detailed and you as a client, can receive a spreadsheet with the products, price, links to where to order, as well as different costs, based on the type of service needed. A design board is provided with options as well. They offer a range of services, based on what the client needs.

I have used this team three different times, each time, they exceed my expectations.
We hired their services to to set up an assisted living apartment for my mom , they were so creative in using familiar with the new, and at the same time, making the apartment functional, and again, offered a reasonable budget plan, as well as a senior discount. The rooms were beautiful, inviting, functional, pleasing environment.

In my home, they redesigned a living room, and worked with me to refresh the family room.

Through the entire process, their work ethic was fabulous, excellent communicators, always willing to address any questions, or issues that may arise. The end result is beautiful.

One of their top strengths that I apreciated, was the ability to listen, observe, ask questions, and design a plan that reflects your needs as a client.
We are still in awe of how well they discerned what we desired and brought all the ideas together, and created a gorgeous room for our family.

Buyers should be wary of using
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
despite their Angie’s List rating unless you have prior experience with extensive remodeling projects.
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
saw an opportunity to take advantage of my 81-year old mom who wanted to remodel a small hall bath and an outdated master bath. Their treatment was abysmal following collection of their initial down payment.
I thoroughly reviewed the contracts and addendums and
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
Page deliberately obfuscated many of the terms, conditions, and details with scribbled notes that no reasonable person could be expected to understand. However, one thing is clear --
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
is obligated to refund $632.25 for overpayment of their contracted price totaling $42,633. That calculation is indisputable. I also tried to intervene on my mom's behalf during this project to no avail.
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
was
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
unresponsive.
A formal complaint will be filed with the Virginia State Contractor’s board if they
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
’t live up to that
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
obligation.
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
began the project on April 22, 2015 with an estimated completion date of May 8, 2015. The project was not completed until
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
7, 2015. That fact alone illustrates how
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
assigned this project a “we’ll get to it when we feel like it” priority given my mom was the only person occupying the house full-time and unable to defend herself and stand up for her rights. The May 8, 2015 date was specifically negotiated so my mom could attend her granddaughters college graduation.
On May 13, 2015,
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
finally secured the leverage he was looking for that guaranteed he could extend this project the next two months and strip away all the leverage my mom, or any homeowner has in a project like this.
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
sent his employee, Chase, to collect final payment and my mom dutifully complied believing that by giving
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
payment in full,
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
would be more motivated to complete the job. At a minimum,
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
’s actions are a disgrace.
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
never visited the house once during the project following an initial meeting to review contract addendums. Instead, he had some employee taking pictures for him who was also supposed to present my mom with a “book” that never materialized.
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
warranted that they were not using contracted workers or day laborers. There were long periods of time when nobody showed up -- two weeks in one instance. Many times, days would pass without any work. My mom had to call
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
constantly to ask if anyone was going to show up for work for the day.
When employees did show up, it was at irregular hours without notice. Other times my mom would call to see if anyone was coming to work for the day and
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
would say yes, and then nobody would show up. All this behavior is consistent with a contractor who misses a deadline by two months and has decided that the only person they are accountable to is an 81-year old woman.
My mom was a virtual prisoner for 3-months during this project since
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
took three months to complete it and did not hold regular hours. She was never able to leave the house and was either futilely waiting for workers to arrive, or sitting around while they were actually working (a more rare occurrence).
Very few workers employed by
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
spoke English. That made it impossible to communicate about any concerns on-site during construction. The one employee who did speak English only made appearances when the workers arrived (presumably to ensure someone was showing up at all and to give instruction) and then they left.
Employees never cleaned the property after each visit. Construction debris (several pieces of two by four lumber) was left in the middle of the kitchen floor for a week creating dangerous tripping hazards and making it very difficult to negotiate the space. When my mom asked if they could be moved somewhere more discreet, they said they were going to be used for the project. A week later she again asked that they be removed and they were. And they were never used for her project.
Construction debris was left on the front lawn overnight for days despite multiple requests to have it removed. My mom lives in a community governed by
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
covenants and they warned her two times during that period to have it removed.
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
chose the water faucet for the sink in the small bath. After they installed it, they realized that the existing medicine cabinet doors could not be opened or closed anytime the faucet was on and running water. Initially, they refused to move the medicine cabinet higher up the wall to remedy the problem. After many calls to
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
, they finally moved the medicine cabinet higher but now, even today, refuse to repair or paint the newly exposed drywall as a result of their mistake.
This list only represents a fraction of the indignities
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
imposed on my mom.
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
never even visited the house on the last day to survey the workmanship. That is how little he, or any other authoritative figure at
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
was invested in this project.
The $623.25 refund is contractually due.
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
Page Design should be relieved to set this issue aside because there are plenty of other claims that could be pursued and my mom is looking for a prompt reimbursement for the overpayment.
Use
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
at your own risk. Our experience was pitiful.

Great working with
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked

Exactly why I needed someone of her expertise and knowledge. She's very easy to work with and we have other projects i will be hiring her for in the future.

Terrene is top-notch! We worked together on a number of projects, most notably a kitchen renovation, and are so happy we did.
Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked

Beaver Interior Designers Provider Name Locked

She was also brilliant problem-solver when it came to project scheduling. In addition to the kitchen and bathroom remodeling, we sourced paint, hardwood flooring, and carpet from Terrene for all but two rooms in our new house and had great experiences working with
