Work was performed quickly and exceeded my expectations. I have never had a bad experience using
and his company. He also manages all sub-contractors very well and stands by the work.

As planned, work on the project started October 14th and ended about 2 months later, about a month later than anticipated. Some weeks only a few hours of work was done and this was frustrating. Delays were attributable to the following: our Sterling Accord tub and surround (which we love) arrived damaged and had to be replaced; we ordered a custom vanity from
that took additional time, our carpenter was injured in a car accident and another carpenter had to be called in, and an incorrect granite vanity top was installed and had to be re-cut and replaced. Also, we were picky and had subs return to address finishes and work that was not done to our expectations.
added a considerable amount of blocking, per our request, for secure placement of mirrors, towel bars, etc; he also replaced a tub spout that was part of a shower set because we thought that the original spout was oddly
shaped and esthetically poor.

NONETHELESS,
always agreed with our concerns and, without any hesitation, had his subs return to finish the job to our standards.
also did additional work in our master bathroom (electrical, new fan, drywall repair, paint and new mirror), front door lock installation and really cool
lighting on our hall steps for a very reasonable price.
a highly personable man with a strong commitment to please the customer. We never had a negative interaction with
and he proved quite accommodating.
has a good aesthetic and practical design sense. His wife is a designer and specialist in kitchen/bathroom
products and proved quite helpful on several occasions when she accompanied
on site. My wife and I enjoyed our time with both of them. It felt like we had a very active role in every stage of the remodel and we appreciated
's sensitivity to our preferences.

Weinterviewed four other well-rated Angie's List contractors before interviewing
; we did not go with them because they either did not listen well, were dismissive of our preferences, or were priced exceptionally high. One highly rated person, after visiting our home, would not take the job because he worked alone and felt his knees could not handle the bathtub installation in a tri-level. The
bottom line is that
delivered the product we wanted, at an affordable price and we are very pleased with it. The process was delayed but well worth it.

Although not an interior designer, he has good design sense and added to our vision, providing new insight and ideas that we hadn’t thought of. We found
Verona Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
has an ability to foresee problems and offer creative solutions.
For example, we replaced carpeting with wooded floors, which posed a problem with two wooden railings that separate the living space from stairs leading to the lower level. The railing had a bullnose
Verona Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
along its base, but needed a flat
Verona Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
for the wooden floor to abut against. Prior to selecting Legacy we got three project quotes. One contractor’s solution was to remove the railing and trim the bullnose… this was a two day project. Another contractor said we had to rebuild the entire
staircase… a seven day project.
Verona Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
’s solution was to use a special saw and carefully trim the bullnose. It took a steady hand and was a tedious job, but he completed it in about an hour… it looks perfect and save a lot of time and money.
His planning is very good. He laid-out a timetable that was both realistic and fit into our schedule. His crew always arrived on time and ready to work, it was clear they knew what they were to accomplish each day prior to arriving at our job site. They were
friendly, but business like in the way they did their work. There is no quiet way to tear down walls, but they understood we have a home office and they accomplished the job as quietly and quickly as possible… a little ahead of schedule.
The

crew is respectful. We spent a lot of time working from our office and could hear just about every that was said. There was no swearing, complaining or inappropriate conversations. We walked by the construction throughout the day and noticed they worked on our home as if it were their own. They were careful, neat and concerned about the details of the finished job. At the end of work they did a very good job of cleaning-up, which made it easier for us to move around the space and keep the rest of the house clean. If they needed to put in a little more time to stay on schedule, they did it with a great attitude.
Verona Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
made sure the sub-contractors understood their role in the project and set clear expectations for their work and schedule. When we had questions about a sub’s work, he took responsibility to get the answers and if need be the resolution.
He was respectful of our budget and set reasonable amounts for our allowances, which kept us in budget and reduced change orders. In addition to remodeling the inside we also updated doors and windows, siding, gutters and garage doors. For these he provided options for each from various suppliers. We always felt he was working in our best interests, not beholding to a supplier or pushing a particular solution. If our selection was going to put us over budget, he would let us know and he left us to decide what to do.
He backs-up his work. There have been a couple of items that needed to be addressed since the work completed and he stepped up to the plate and took responsibility. For example, last winter (2012) snow melted off the roof, creating ice-dams in the gutters, so it was a priority that we get that fixed. Following the first snow, and while the temperatures were in single-digits, I noticed ice

forming on the new gutters. I called
Verona Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
and we discussed how to resolve the issue. He took charge, contacting the insulating company and roofing company to see what more we could do.
NOTE to Angie's List Editor- this is
Verona Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
. There are other companies in our area that we talked w/ that also have 'Legacy' as part of their name... we did not work with those other companies.
We do not wish to share the value of the remodeling.

was professional from start to finish. He came right on time and was prepared with a few potential fixes. In the course of looking at the problem, we realized that to get the smooth look that we wanted, we were going to need to go with a specialized bathtub refinishing company. Instead of trying to sell us on a new tub (which he could have installed for us),
Verona Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
suggested that we call around and see what our options were. Even though no real service was rendered (outside of his professional opinion), we were so impressed with
Verona Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
's character that we felt the need to post a report. Throughout the appointment, he was open and realistic about what he could/couldn't do for us. And even though he went out of his way to meet us early in the morning, he wouldn't accept payment for his help. We ended up going a different route this time, but when we need remodeling help in our new home, we know who we will be calling.

The estimator came out, gave us a detailed report of the cost to complete the project along with a timeline and computer rendition of what it would look like. We were going to go with them, but then had health issues which kept us from meeting with them again. They were very professional in their bidding process. The project is on hold right now.

was exemplary from start to finish. I don't remember the price, but it was very competitive -- and much less than some. His work was excellent. It was pretty straightforward hanging of drywall, priming it, and painting it. And he painted and replaced some molding. He matched the existing paint perfectly and did a literally seamless job.

I would highly recommend him, and will hire him again.

We received 5 quotes on the work we wanted done.
Verona Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
was recommended to us by an acquaintance and they had the best quote on our project. The work was done very quickly in spite of bad spring weather. All the people from
Verona Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
were appreciative for our business and treated us just that way. They used numerous crews that had everything finished ahead of schedule. We are extremely happy with the results. The workers were very professional and very cordial with any questions and request we had. The crew leader,
Verona Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
was very personable and easy to deal with. Not only did they have a great price but also did some needed upgrades without additional charge. We would highly recommend this company to anyone, based on our experience overall; from the initial quote to job completion and follow up.

We noticed damage to our siding approximately 25 feet from the ground. Upon calling them, they promptly returned a call and discussed the issue. A repairmen came out and quickly repaired the siding. The individual also noticed some other siding issues and suggested improvements. As a temporary fix, he snapped the siding in place. Pleased with the prompt service.

Verona Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
helped us complete some finishing touches on our basement finishing project. We had done most of the trim work ourselves, but ran into trouble when it came to doing the trim around the stairs. The original builder hadn't left enough space in some places along the stringers to install skirt board along the stairs, and we were completely over our heads not knowing how to proceed.
Verona Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
came out and expertly fixed the issue and installed the skirt board. While here, he also helped us with other finishing touches to the trim work, including installing some wood ledges, mitering a few remaining pieces of baseboard, etc. The quality of work and attention to detail were superb, and he was a pleasure to work with. The reason we went with
Verona Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
over the other companies we called was that he was conscientious of keeping our costs down. His hourly fee was similar to his competitors, but he was willing to work with us rather than his own assistant. Thus, we could help with more manageable aspects of the project, instead of paying for a second person's labor. He also suggested working one very long day to get everything done rather than breaking it into multiple trips, which worked perfectly with our project timeline.

We had an existing banister in our home which was built with wide spacing between the spindles -- not kid friendly. Legacy (
Verona Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
) did an excellent job matching the existing spindles (which had to be custom-made, as they were not a standard size or length). You can't even tell the difference between the old and new spindles, the stain and style matches so well. The estimate was exactly as quoted, the workmanship was excellent, and everything was cleaned up nicely. They were also very accommodating of my schedule which I greatly appreciated.
