If you feel a gentle breeze this afternoon it's probably just me breathing many sighs of relief. After having some beautiful bathroom and kitchen remodeling done as well as outside lighting installed by
., I decided to sign up for the Diamond Club Service Plan. I wanted to ensure that my home remained in good order in the plumbing and electrical areas. I am so glad that I did. There were some significant electrical safety issues discovered during the very detailed inspection. The conditions were carefully and fully explained to me and promptly corrected. Thank you

The installers did not replace the $5 water supply line with a new one and claimed that the reason the line burst was because the old one was brittle. The old line was, in fact, not brittle but was kinked when the unit was pushed back into its tight-fitting space. When we saw the water on the floors, we turned off the water supplying the entire house and immediately called the local Servicemaster to mitigate the water damage. We contacted Wholesale Appliances to report the problem. Wholesale Appliances initially claimed it was not their fault but eventually filed a claim against their own insurance to cover the damages; it took two weeks for this to occur. Communication was sluggish and difficult at best. Meanwhile, the new LG refrigerator/freezer had problems. The water dispenser and the ice dispenser did not work properly. The supply line was clearly not insulated properly inside the door and the line would freeze preventing water flow.
told us that this was a problem we had to take up with LG and that they had no responsibility in the matter. More than two months later, we are still working with LG to have this problem fixed.

I was happy with this company in every way until they ran my credit card through the machine and had my money in their pockets - I've been very disappointed with everything that's happened since then.
First the few good things I have to say about this experience... my salesman,

, seemed to be knowledgeable about the products and made a good recommendation for my family's needs. I do have the washer and dryer installed in my home and have been very happy with the products themselves.
Customer service however has been awful. Because I have a gas dryer, it was recommended (I think wisely) that I not do the removal of the old machine myself, and hire someone to install the new machine.

's delivery team does not remove or install gas appliances which is fine. I hired the guy they recommended for an additional $135 which again is fine. The problems started here though - the installation guy was unable to come out to disconnect the old dryer before the delivery guys brought the new dryer. Both the sales guy, and the people on the delivery team at ApplianceSmart assured me this wouldn't be a problem, happens all the time - they just deliver the new dryer and then I call them back after the install guy has been there and then ApplianceSmart comes back to get the old dryer - all part of the $75.00 I already paid for delivery/haul-away. Fine, this sounded good enough (though next time, I plan to buy from where that can handle both delivery and installation if possible!) The delivery guys brought the new dryer and told me to call, they'd be back to pick up the other one. The install guy came and uninstalled the old dryer and even helped me carry it up the steps so it's really easy for the pickup team to get it from my garage. Then I called the pickup team thinking this would all be really easy. They didn't answer and I left a voicemail - this was

18th, left another voicemail, and got no response. I then went on vacation for 10 days and tried again right after coming back on

29th. They still haven't called me back. Today, I submitted a request through their website explaining my attempts to contact them via the phone and asked someone to get back to me today, it's 4:03 right now (their voicemail message tells me all the time that they close at 4:00) and I still have heard nothing so I assume I won't hear back today. 6 attempts to get this dryer picked up and not a single response is extremely frustrating. I feel like they did everything possible to get that new dryer in my door, promising flawless service, and as soon as they had the new dryer in the door and my money securly in their pocket, they've ignored me since. Horribly depressing customer service.
Two other items that normally would be small enough details that I would forgive them, but in this case with how I've been treated on the pickup, are rubbing me the wrong way:

, told me I would need to buy water hoses to connect my new washer so I did buy some from him. I was disheartened to find that brand new hoses were delivered with my washer. By the time I discovered that, I'd already opened the ones

sold me, I'm sure to juice his commission (he told me several times he's commissioned) and didn't feel it was worth it to drive across town to return them. This nickel and diming is really unimpressive customer service and definitely shatters any illusion of trust I had.
2. The salesguy

, also told me I needed to buy a new gas line to connect the gas dryer, so fine, I bought one of those too. Only it turns out in his hurry to sell me something, he sold me a gas line that only connects gas ranges - it doesn't work on dryers. This was really un-helpful when the install guy came for the installation and was able to point out this problem to me. Honest mistake? Probably... but coupled with everything else I feel the mistake happened because he was in such a hurry to run my credit card there wasn't time to think about grabbing the right part.
The product is good, the price was competitive, though I saw the same washer/dryer at Home Depot the next week for the same price... next time I'm absolutely buying from Home Depot, even if they cost more - it's only possible for the service there to be significantly better than ApplianceSmart's... If you do choose to buy here for whatever reason, be very wary of everything they say in the process - I wouldn't trust any of it.

Excellent service, from advice at the store, to delivery, to installation. When I purchased the latter two appliances, I was also remodeling the kitchen, and they even removed old wall tile before installing the microwave, without any extra charge. From the store's owner to the installers, they were polite and professional. They did not rush the installation, but gave me time to clean the area where the new refrigerator was to be placed. This is the first company I think of when considering buying new appliances.

Very professional did a lot to problem solve. The first day things went well and the pump seemed to be fixed. Shortly after he left the pump blew the fuse. We called Him back and he took a lot of time to figure it out. He did and he did not charge for the re-visit. Very happy with the whole experience.

This could not have gone better. The tech arrived on time. He took off the cover to the machine and did several checks on it. Eventually he found a wire harness with a plug on it that had vibrated loose. He secured it with a large wire tie so it would not come loose in the future. He did some more tests to make sure that the problem was fixed. Once done he said that it was possible that there was a different intermittent problem, but the only way to find out was to proceed and use the machine and see if the problem reoccured. It did not. The plug was the problem. After several months the machine still works fine. I felt the charge was very fair and that the tech was excellent. Sorry I did not get his name.
Also used them several years ago to fix our refrigerator. That went well too, although more expensive (parts were needed)

delivery took over two months. The folks that delivered failed to install the filter and claimed that the turn on valve the water was jammed. I later found out that there was nothing wrong with the turn on valve. There was one handle where the screw hole was stripped and the installers told me to contact them. I contacted them and was told a new one would be delivered (handle). I had to call again one month later and two months later and then they said it was back ordered. Four months later I received the wrong handle. Called again and finally received the proper handle 5 1/2 months after receiving the refrigerator.

It went well. We had reviewed ovens on line prior to going there. We had done to another appliance store which did not have a

for us to look at. The salesman at the other store told us he was not aware of any problems with any of the ovens.
We went to the Bloom Bros store and were taken care of by

. Bloom Bros had the model we wanted to look at only in a different size. However, we could tell what our desired model looked like and he reviewed the features with us. When he did not know something, instead of faking it he looked it up to give us accurate answers. Also he was honest about the repair records of the ovens, indicating that all can have problems.
I was impressed with his forthrightness.
The price was reasonable and he arranged installation with
