I was told that a call had been made to inform me of the upcoming service, which was a lie. I searched two weeks of phone call records and no calls from them.
The service was not provided but the next day I got an email stating that the service had been provided. I called them and I was told that most probably the service was performed in the wrong location. I wonder who the lucky or unlucky person is that got home and found his or her lawn full of holes and plucks of dirt and grass everywhere.
At this point they cannot tell me when the service will be provided, which might render it useless. I do the over-seeding myself and, judging by experience, by the time it gets done it might be too late for new grass to grow strong enough to survive the winter. By the way, I do the over-seeding myself because they use very "efficient" spreaders which throw more seeds on my flower beds than on my lawn.
I have used them for a few years, not because of satisfaction but because of the lack of better choices, and after this many years they do the service at the wrong location. So far this is the worst excuse I have been given by them.
Every year I have major problems with scheduled services, sometimes too early in the spring and always late or very late for late summer and fall services. Every year I get poor excuses and it takes me several calls to get prepaid services done.
This is it, next year I am using someone else even if the Angie's List reviews are not very good.
My backyard looks atrocious. I have sent numerous emails to KG several times asking for assistance. I gave them information about my watering times, station times, etc., and still received no information as to what was happening with my backyard. I finally got a reply and it said that someone would be in contact with me about my backyard. Weeks passed, no one contacted me. I finally sent an email saying that due to the horrendous customer care I was receiving, I wished to terminate my services. Perhaps this would prompt a retention email, call, something. Nothing.

Front lawn treatment was fine (backyard could have been better.) But don't even get me started on the tree/shrub service. Those guys literally didn't do anything. This morning I watched them drive up the street, pull into my driveway, walk up to my door to hang the service note of what they "did" that day, and drive off. They didn't even do anything! And this was a special service call I put in because I've been noticing bugs eating some of my shrubs. They're note said they spent 8 minutes at my house (which was actually 1 minute). Even if they had gotten out of the car, there is no way they could have treated the extensive shrubs and trees on my acre lot in 8 minutes. Who do they think they're fooling?!
I paid for the year in advance, and they started billing me for services 2 months before the year was up, and without informing me. Grr. But today's "service call" was the last straw. I fired
Tru Green came out the very next week to give my neighbors yard the treatment they missed, and they sprayed OUR yard AGAIN!!! For the second time in a week span, they sprayed our yard. I walked out to
