"They called, at my request, and first asked what my husband does. I don't have a husband and why does this matter? They then wanted to know what my credit" rating is. I said that I would be paying cash and not financing a solar installation so it was irrelevant. The salesman wouldn't let it go after I firmly told him I wasn't going to divulge that information (my credit rating is 800+ so it wasn't a matter of not having credit). He still wouldn't let it go. Exasperated, I finally hung up. Too intrusive, too many assumptions. No thanks.

Are you talking about powering your home solely on solar (i.e. no back up power source or off grid).

The power, once convered from DC to AC via the inverter, is suitable for use by the home.

Most solar application are in supplement to the current powering of the home and will spin the meter back in the day but are not the primary.

OK - that should strike Atlantic Plumbing off your vendor list !

You say female pipe to copper pipe connection - I hope you are not saying they connected copper directly to galvanized or black iron pipe. If so, there should have been a dielectric union put in there to prevent corrosion, which could be part of your problem.

Also, generally a bad idea to use teflon tape for hot water tank connections - too much thermal cycling, loosens it up over time. Should use plumbers dope for that application.

It sounds to me like a connection problem - if the tank itself was leaking it should be flooding the top of the tank or more likely running down through the insulation and dripping out the bottom.

Unless you are a do it yourselfer, sounds like you need to find a new plumber with good reviews and rating in your area - Search the List (in green banner bar). This should be an easy fix - should have him put in dielectric couplings (about $5-10 each depending on pipe size) if current connection is iron to copper, and even if not, have him redo connection not only for cold but also hot water - if one was done poorly, probably both were.

We have a 20 year lease with
Stevens Point Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
for a solar system. To take advantage of their best offer, we paid a lump sum up front for the lease. They installed the system in 2012. Due to a poor installation (exposed wires on the roof) the system failed within the first year. Service was down for approximately a week during repairs. The system has failed several times since, but their technical support has been able to fix the problem from their facility. On January 8, 2015, the system failed again. This time it took several phone calls over a week to get them to react to the problem. We were told
Stevens Point Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
does not inventory spare parts and we had to wait for a part to be ordered. After several more weeks and approximately six phone calls later, we were told the part would not arrive until around January 30th. Once the part arrived at their facility, they would call us to schedule an appointment. I have contacted their customer service management and they are not willing to do anything to expedite the repair. By the time our unit is repaired it will have been down a month. Although we have a guarantee on the system output, we will have to wait until the installation anniversary before we can get any credit. Meantime, we will have to pay the electric company for a full month of electricity usage.

We had a 14 panel photovoltaic system installed on our roof in late autumn 2014. Sunlight is a small company with the right kind of experience which takes very good care of its customers and prides itself on communication about scheduling and operation; because the company is small each of its members become personally known to the client. (Sounds like a promotional blurb but it is correct; this personal flavor of the company can be seen on its website.) The installation process includes many steps and takes several months; without rushing, Sunlight helped us proceed successfully through each stage. All the parts selected for the design were of solid quality; details like the interior roof reinforcement ("sistering" of rafters) were nicely done. Partly because we were able to pay cash, the price for the overall job was most reasonable. In short we were uncomplainingly satisfied with the project, concluding that Sunlight accomplished in a completely straightforward manner exactly what it is supposed to do. High or highest recommendation.

We decided to cancel, and they told us we couldn't cancel. They are getting license from the states and we did not approve that. The salesman said there is no problem that we can cancel anytime. When we called they said we have to pay for the preliminary for permits because they

I would like to start off by first stating that I
Stevens Point Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
’t
normally post reviews on companies whether my experience was good or bad. If I
have a bad experience, I prefer to give the business an opportunity to rectify
the issue. In this case, I have given
Stevens Point Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
multiple opportunities to
fix problems with their business practices. I have submitted 2 complaints with
the Better Business Bureau involving
Stevens Point Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
. The first problem
involved the business using a bait and switch sales tactic which after I
submitted a BBB complaint, they ended up holding up their end of the deal. Although,
as in many or possibly all cases against the company, they will deny responsibility
while trying to divert the attention or completely ignoring the substance of
the complaint. The information below is
from the recent complaint that I submitted to the BBB. The response that I
received from
Stevens Point Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
is what I had expected. They didn’t address the
issue of their failure to notify me to turn on the breaker panel and set up the
monitoring of my solar panels until upon my return from a 6 month deployment
and I had to contact them requesting access to monitor my panels and for them
to find out they never set up the monitoring. Additional information is as
follows:
On or around the 28th of June, 2014,
Stevens Point Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked

installed solar panels at my residence. At the time, I was vacationing out of
state. I received a notice from SDG&E on the 30th of June stating that
solar panel system was ready for operation. On June 30th, I received an email
from a
Stevens Point Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
employee who wanted to set up the monitoring of my solar
panels. I returned from vacation on
Stevens Point Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
1st, I contacted the employee and
provided him the information that he was requesting to set up the monitoring system.
He informed me via email that he was having problems setting up the monitoring
for my panels. Over the next 4 weeks, I provided the employee the additional
information that he was requesting and I never heard back from him. I'm in the
military and deployed in early August. I returned from deployment late December
2014. I contacted
Stevens Point Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
upon my return to assist me in monitoring my
solar panels. A technician was sent out to my residence on
Stevens Point Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
. 31, 2014 where
it was discovered that the breaker for the solar panels was never turned on. I
had been paying on the loan for the solar panels since
Stevens Point Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
while my residence
was still using SDG&E electriciity. I currently have a outstanding electric
bill from SDG&E in the amount of $1359.70. No one informed me that I needed
to turn on the breaker and when I contacted
Stevens Point Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
to set up the
monitoring after the install, no one was sent out to my residence to ensure my
solar panels were operating properly even after a
Stevens Point Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
employee acknowledged
having issues reading the operation of my solar panels. I feel
Stevens Point Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked

should be held responsible,
Stevens Point Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
was paid in full for their service
but failed to complete the installation to include monitoring set-up and
turning on the solar panels to ensure proper operation after installation.
Stevens Point Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
didn't exercise due diligence when a monitoring problem was
discovered in
Stevens Point Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
which would of prevented this situation.
In closing, I do like to give a business a benefit of the
doubt and look at every situation from the business’s perspective. I feel I
have given
Stevens Point Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
that respect. I just
Stevens Point Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
’t see how
Stevens Point Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
doesn’t
accept responsibility. To the future solar customers, my military brothers and
sisters, I DO NOT RECOMMEND conducting business with
Stevens Point Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
. Learn
from my mistake and save yourself the headache.

I will never use them again, We had an appointment for them to come on a Monday to look at what was wrong and they showed up on a Saturday when we were not home which would have been ok had they not called and spoken to us 6 times before even getting there. Once he finally showed up we were told what was wrong but he couldn't fix it or give pricing because the office was closed and we would be called on Monday with a price and then we could schedule the repair. 2 weeks later we still had not heard from them so we called again and the woman that talks to customers is extremely rude!!! After 15 minutes of dealing with her I finally got a price and was told they could fix it the next day. Over a week later we came home to a note on our door that it was done, we stayed home waiting all day on our appointment day and lost time off from work. It took 3 weeks to get the bill. Service is the worst!!! I will use

It was an excellent experience! The SEM team took care of everything from start to finish. They created a PV system that fit my needs and budget. They sent experts who ensured the project was done correctly and in a timely manner. We were given one contact person who always answered our questions and kept us updated with the project's progress.

After hurricane Sandy we looked at a whole house generator. For just the rare use it seemed to be a bit expensive. The plan we came up with was to install solar with backup for our critical circuits. We do not need it .for heating - as we have a non powered backup for heating ( the reaction to an ice storm some years ago ). We contacted other solar companies who simply looked at Google Earth and told us it would not work for us, even after I told them the Google pictures were out of date. After we contacted
Stevens Point Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
he came out and actually looked at the job - what a concept! He came up with a plan and it was installed and has been working well since then. The job I am reviewing is the 2nd phase that we undertook when we wanted increase our capacity. We were just breaking even with
Stevens Point Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
with the original installation which is what a traditional installation is supposed to do, but wanted more capacity to offset the future purchase of an electric vehicle and electric space heating to offset natural gas heating. Again so far we are very happy with the results.

They came out several times between taking the measurements and completing the installation. They cleaned up well when completed. Everything worked out perfectly.
