The technician arrived on time, placed protective coverings in front of the fireplace, removed all the 'logs', cleaned the entire interior of the unit, and explained the functioning of the fireplace. Since we had no prior knowledge of how gas fireplaces work, the technician was thorough in his explanation of the care and use of the unit. He explained that installing a blower would increase the efficiency of the heating, but did not pressure us to purchase the product/installation from his firm. Would use
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
again, and would recommend them to others.

Stellar!
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
arrived on time. Fully prepared with all the tools and equipment for the job.

He was super fast and extremely knowledgeable. He completed what for me would have been an all day project in nothing flat.

He cleaned up afterward and gave me all extra pieces. I would not hesitate to use him again. He is like one of those Mercedes Benz mechanics with an eye for detail and super organized. World class service and just the nicest guy you'll ever meet. Thanks Angie

We visited the showroom and selected a door of their recommendation. It was painted to order in their shop and they did an excellent job. The installation was done on schedule and very thorough. There was a follow-up visit to adjust the door to fit properly. The installation person was prompt, neat and knowledgeable.

The “
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
Dr.” -
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
--Owner and Operator of the company since 2008 ( Quote from his Facebook page)
I had contacted the “
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
Doctor” in early February, 2014 to have my
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
serviced. As he declares on his Facebook page,
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
is the “owner –operator” of that business.
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
was the person from that business with whom I spoke.
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
made a firm appointment to come and service my
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
on February 12, 2014. The time set was for early afternoon . I waited all day. He never showed up, never called. I called a number of times to determine why he neither showed up nor called to give me a reason for not coming. I called a number of times after that, and after many non-responses
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
finally answered me, giving me some kind of an excuse for his not having previously made the Feb. 12th appointment.
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
then made a 12 noon appointment for Feb 26th, 2014. Again, I waited all afternoon. Finally at 6p.m. he called and said his car broke down near Nashua , New
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
. During that phone call, he made another appointment, setting the time for his arrival to be between the hours of 12 noon and 2:00 p.m. on February 28th. Again, I waited all afternoon. He finally showed up at 6 p.m. He gave no reason for being so late. However, he did say he would give me a break in price for my having been so inconvenienced. At 9 p.m., he finished servicing my
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
and declared that it was now working perfectly. At that point, there was a small fire going. It being rather late, I soon shut off the
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
. The next morning, Saturday, March 1st, I started the
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
again; the flame flickered for a very short time. It then died. I called
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
all day Saturday and then Sunday. By this time I was very upset because of his chronic unavailability and unreliability. He never responded to any of my calls. Finally, on Monday, March 3rd, he answered my phone call, admonishing me for calling him over the weekend, and telling me that he just did not answer business phone calls on Saturday and Sunday, because it was his time and his time alone, and that he felt no responsibility to discuss any matters with “
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
Dr.” clients. This was in spite of the fact that he was supposed to have taken care of my
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
, which he did not do. He also emphasized that he was upset that I called him a number of times at that point. The reason for my having called him over the weekend was to tell him that the
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
was not working, and that I wanted him to rectify the situation. Unfortunately because of his unavailability, I previously was not able to let him know that he had failed to take care of my
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
. He also ignored the fact that he had charged me $395.00 which he had already cashed at a Bank of America outlet in Manchester, N.H. He also insisted that he had fixed the
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
, ignoring the fact that it was not working. At that point, the outrageousness of his statement and of his condescending attitude got under my skin and I told him so. He did not respond to me and the conversation just ended.
Impressions of the “
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
Dr.” employee,
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
:
1.
He is not interested in doing this work. Frequently does not bother to answer the
phone
2.
Extremely negative attitude
3.
Behaves in a passive-aggressive manner,
projecting his own ineptitude onto the client and then blaming the customer for
anything that might go wrong
4.
Surly, extremely unfriendly
5.
Flat personality, no visible positive emotion,
does not demonstrate the ability to make contact with another person
6.
Does not know how to do business with people
I finally was able to make contact with
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
in June, 2014 and brought him up to date on what had transpired between his employee and me. He listened very attentively, but then asked me to call him back in the middle of August, 2014. I agreed, thinking that he possibly had a backlog of work to take care of. I called him on August 11, 2014 and left him a message on his voice-mail. He did not respond. I again called him on August 13, 2014. He answered the phone and told me that he had to put me on hold. I waited a short while and then suddenly the phone went dead. Immediately, I called again. He picked up, telling me that he was busy changing the baby’s diaper. Before I could say anything else to him, he hung up on me. At that, I came to the conclusion that he was not interested in correcting the awful job that his employee had done.
Because of their negative attitude and shoddy workmanship, I insist that they return my money.
I strongly advise anyone contemplating having any work done on their
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
, to beware of contacting the incompetent and unethical people in this company.

I visited their store to see what they had available, and
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
took me around and showed me my options. Once I knew what I wanted he sent someone to measure my fireplace to make sure the correct materials were installed. Again, the gentleman was very helpful, making sure I had exactly what I wanted. There was an old gas line leading to the fireplace, but we weren't sure it was good to use, so he sent someone out to look at it the same day. We decided to replace the gas line.
The day of installation, the two men came and did everything exactly as we had planned, and it went very well. They cleaned up everything, and it looks great, and works great, too. It took less than one week from start to finish!

I couldn't be happier for the service provided by
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
. He was on time (actually early), courteous, and tuned up my fireplace to look like new. He painted the inside which was a nice extra which really made the difference. I am set for the winter, know my fireplace is in good working order and can enjoy the aesthetics even more than before. I now know more how it works, and having a one year warranty on his service is a cut above the rest. Thank you

Everything went extremely well. They were very cooperative and professional from the initial contact at the showroom in selecting a model of fireplace, to scheduling the project, and to execution of the job. They are a busy company so we agreed upon a schedule two weeks out from the agreement date. They arrived promptly on the scheduled start date. The first thing I noticed was how thorough they were in preparing the area. They covered the floors with paper and then added drop cloths. They enclosed the work areas completely in plastic. As a result there was virtually no dust or mess. I had asked then to try to save the granite and ceramic tile that surrounded the old fireplace. They were able to do that and even went so as to take the materials down to the basement for storage. At every step of the way during install they checked with me for placement of the fireplace and the wiring involved. We adjusted the placement at their suggestion. When they were done with the install, they did an excellent job of clean-up. All in all they did an excellent job. I highly recommend them

We contracted with
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
(
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
Vielee, owner and
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
, project manager) on 6/17/2014 to install a colored, stamped concrete large patio, walkway and smaller patio. The concrete work was started on 7/07/2014, a day with forcasted severe thunderstorms and hail. The large patio was poured but work was disrupted and stopped because of rain. A second attempt was made to pour a 2 inch
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
on top of the large patio and pour the walkway and smaller patio. Stamp work was attempted on the large patio but workers were unable to screed and float the walkway and smaller patio, leaving an uneven level and rough texture on the walkway and smaller patio. The large patio had uneven texture,
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
(including a boot print), and a stamp pattern that was rough in texture, inconsistent with depth and impression, overlapping, and not consistent with the Ashlar Slate stamp pattern as displayed in brochure advertising that we were given at the time of consultation/estimate. There were also multiple areas of splashed/dried concrete on our brick and windows of the house. The smaller patio was graded towards the house and poured up onto the siding instead of being poured "below grade" as previously agreed upon. Because of these errors, the smaller patio required removal. During the removal process, one of
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
's concrete "experts" made the comment that we "wanted a Rolls
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
for a Porsche price". A third attempt was made to work on the large patio to correct the poor quality stamp pattern that included a plan to pour a "skim coat" on the large patio for stamping. The color was mixed in the skim coat in a wheelbarrow instead of "at the concrete plant to ensure even color" as stated in the contract. The skim coat and stamp was applied to only half of the large patio before the workers left for the weekend. This skim coat and stamp had obvious variations in color (each "mixing" in the wheelbarrow had a different color shade) and a stamp pattern that was overlapping and not properly staggered. There were also multiple areas of elevated, sharp, concrete protrusions and multiple areas of cracking in the skim coat. At this point, we contacted two licensed contractors that specialize in decorative and stamped concrete for a second opinion on this work. Both contractors stated that the grade of the large patio was done incorrectly and sloped towards the house. Both contractors stated that the work done was of poor quality and not done to "industry standards" and must be removed. Given this information, we decided that it was necessary to contact
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
and discuss these findings and our desire to terminate our contract based on inability of
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
to perform the work as stated in the contract. This conversation occurred on 7/20/14 via phone and
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
verbally agreed to refund the full deposit of $7,500 that we had paid. A text conversation with
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
indicated that his plan for providing this refund to be "ASAP" and "within a few weeks". A formal letter identifying the reasons for terminating the contract and request for refund of the full $7,500 deposit was sent via U.S. Mail to
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
at the
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
address. We attempted to contact
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
on 8/07/14 with a text inquiring about the refund and received no reply. My husband did speak with
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
via phone on 8/12/14 at which time
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
stated that he did not have the money and he could not provide a time frame for refund of the deposit. Further attempts to contact
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
via phone, voice message and text have gone unanswered. We filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau on 8/15/14 and have not received any notification that
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
(
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
Vielee, owner and
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
, project manager) has responded to the complaint. This company claims to be one of the only "women-owned" concrete companies and claims that it's "artisans" have many years of experience. We have had no contact or correspondence from
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
Vielee other than meeting her when she and
Oregon Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
came out to the house for the initial consultation and when the contract and deposit were given to

.
