He included a list of 84 of Premier's clients with phone numbers to call for references as well as a list of realtors and contractors that use Premier's services.

and the workmen arrived exactly on time the day the work started. The job took two days and required moving the washer and dryer, a utility sink and a workbench to get to the floor along the wall. They were later reconnected. The workmen were very polite, all trash was bagged or tied up with cord and taken out to the
for trash pickup. When the job was finished both

"Very easy! In and out in 45 minutes. This guy
was a pro. And we can tell that the entire crack was filled with the injections because the" material pushes through to the exterior a little. You can go outside and see exactly where the crack is! We built our house 1 year ago and unfortunately we had a crack that was leaking water into our basement. The builder told us to get someone out and they would cover it. with all the good Angie's list reviews, we called this

We went ahead and had him come back out a few days later and he was early again and very quick. Each time he explained the injection process and also gave us tips on preventative measures. this was a nightmare and unexpected situation ; thank goodness for

Angie's Answers

?
Mold in a basement is a common problem. My company helps people with this every day. Some of the answers you received were helpful but not all the information is correct. First, you need to eliminate the two main ingrediants that mold needs to survive. The first one is water intrusion. This is a must. I am assuming you have no water intrusion as you make no mention. The second componant that needs to be eliminated is moisture. Moisture is also humidity. Basements need to be kept airtight in the summer months. Some folks have posted that you need air flow in your basement. Nothing could be furthur from the truth. When you open any windows for example, not one micron of air goes out of the basement, Warm humid air is sucked into the basement. Houses suck air into the basement and it meets the cool surfaces and skyrockets humidity. The windows must be kept closed and a dehumidification device installed to ensure humidity stays below 60% humidity. The dehumidifier should be energy star rated and purchasing a seperate humidity guage is a must to monitor the unit's progress. We like to keep our customer's basements at 50% humidity. This eliminates the smell that is active mold spore growth. Once the water and humidity is brought under control. Remove the organic materials that have mold on them. Walls, sheetrock and studs that have been affected. Follow the advice of previous posts as you must ensure that you do not affect the rest of the home. Once removed, install new walls using as much inorganic material as possible. We also install vapor barrier over the walls and seal the floors to stopwater vapor transmission into the basement. Poly plastic is not a acceptable vapor barrier. It is not "zero-perm" and will still allow moisture transmission. It will also crack and break into pieces over the years. A PVC liner rated "zero-perm" is the correct product in this application. Depending how large the basement is and if it is sectioned off will determine the dehumidifier strength. We use the Santa Fe line of dehidifiers as they are super energy efficiant and work like a dehumidifier on steriods. I hope this helps and I wish you the best in Basement Health!
?

Where is the home located, what is the exterior wall construction and type, how is the space heated?

It could be a whole host of different scenarios that would generate that result.  It is nearly impossible to tell but I would say that most basement moisture problems are a result of bulk moisture intrusion or condensation issues.

Given the deep and hard winter this year, it could be a condensation issue that hadn't previously been shown.

I had to write these guys a review. They deserve more business. I'm
Franklin Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
of contractors in general with all the shenanigans you hear and read about. For me, working with United was a little bit of a saga, but in a matter of fact way. Not bad.
I first called them out to investigate what I suspected to be a substantial problem back in January. Their inspector,
Franklin Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
, came to look but couldn't offer a clear diagnosis because the area was obstructed. We noted that supplemental support pilasters were sloping, and therefore the foundation wall was likely bulging (cracked). He gave me a rundown of typical problems and remedies but offered no suggestions or pricing, given the inability to fully diagnose the situation. He told me to remove the obstruction (a plywood wall covering the cinder-block foundation wall) and he'd be happy to come back.
Fast forward to April and I had unrelated work going on. I had my landscaper trying to tie in our sump pump drain line into the leader out to the street from the gutter system instead of just leaving the water out in a shrub bed adjacent to our house. When we went to test the sump, we found it wasn't working.
Through Angies List (and a coincidental promotion they were running), I had United come out to replace the sump pump. I considered it an emergency when I called and they made it happen for the next day. When the gentleman first showed up, he refused a gratuity and informed me he was in fact the owner of the company. Because it was an emergency, (and I think because
Franklin Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
prepped him that this was a house with a potential "real job"),
Franklin Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
came out himself. Couldn't have been nicer. He spent almost two hours with me including the actual 25 minutes it took to change out the pump.
He gave me a tremendous education and explained very well how his company sets itself apart from others with the material selection, attention to detail, and knowledge of the "right things to do" to assure quality. He then encouraged me to take down that same ply-wood wall and then to talk to a bunch of different contractors and listen to what they say. He knew that I'd be back after hearing from others.
In June, I decided to take down the plywood wall and see what's really going on with my foundation. It was a little terrifying. There was a significant horizontal crack, some surface mold from trapped water, and a significant bulge. Even my architect was surprised by the extent. I had this independent architect determine the engineering needed to brace my rear foundation.
And then I called United. If their pricing was manageable, I was using them. And I did. The contracting went well. They gave me the discount I found from Valpak (or some other mailer service).
Franklin Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
himself came back to scout out the job and get the right materials ordered. He some investigation and determined my wall didn't have sufficient footings (or any in some locations) to mount a steel beam vertically. He figured to pour new footings in advance of the beam installation and then had some recommendations for me to have the architect consider. He suggested ways to make the job smoother and improve the installation.
Of course these suggestions would have to be met by my architect, which they all were. Nothing he suggested changed the price; just the quality of the result. His crew came in first on a Saturday morning to pour the footings, then the following Tuesday to do the Beam installation. They brought most of the materials in through a small basement window to prevent making a mess through the house all day. At the end of the 10 hour workday, I had 5 steel beams anchored against and bracing my rear foundation. The work looked clean. He had to supplement with concrete a certain area that the slated steel supplemental beam wouldn't fit. Not only was I impressed, but the town building inspector was impressed when he came to review the work.
A week after the beams went up,
Franklin Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
and his guys came back to do the French Drain. They scrubbed and disinfected the surface mold. They mortared up the crack in the wall. And they cleaned up very well before leaving.
Clearly they knew what they were doing. They were well prepared. I was expecting this to be another 10 hour day, but they were gone in 7. They even brought their own microwave to heat up their lunches, rather than asking me (the homeowner).
It was a great experience working with
Franklin Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
, even if it meant I had to have a foundation problem to meet them.
Franklin Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
the Manager/Sales person was polite, helpful, knowledgeable, and punctual.
Franklin Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
the owner clearly cares about his customers and about doing "good business."
I hope I never need they're services again, but if I do, I wouldn't hesitate to call them.

Really pathetic…
I contacted Mr. Foldenauer last year in August of 2014 through the Angie's list link. An automated system sent me an email reply stating "Someone will get back to you very soon."
Never heard from him or anybody else on his behalf. After waiting about two weeks, I called him up and spoke with him directly. He was courteous and took my contact information again---which he already had, as the confirmation email to my first contact verified. He stated that before the end of that week he would call me to set a definite time to meet, for he would be traveling to my area that Friday. Never, ever heard from him again.
I must remark that I speak with a strong accent, but he never showed any indication that he had any problem understanding me when I spoke directly with him.
Almost a year later, I initiated contact again through Angie's list in the same manner as stated above. I wanted to give him the benefit of a doubt considering his high rating in Angie's list. This time I got the following email:
Hi ,

Please call me to discuss a time we can meet. Thank You

Please respond to all messages within 2 business days to continue progress on your job.
I called him up and left him a message on his cell phone with all my contact information. Almost two months have gone by and I still have not heard from him.
Couldn't he have indicated that he was too busy, or that he didn't service my area, or whatever excuse he could have used to not let me just hang in there waiting in vain?
Pathetic way to run a business and a serious lack of professionalism, not to mention a lack of plain civil courtesy.

They had to

hammer basement floor. Some very tight areas with poor ventilation (only one out side window). All departing and incoming items had to be carried up / down a flight of steps.
Drop clothes and plastic barriers were used to keep the mess at a minimum. Polite and Professional at all times.

I am extremely pleased with Champion. From the initial estimate to the job being completed, all was handled with courtesy and professionalism. The office staff made sure I was on board with the time and dates, the crew arrived on time and finished the project in a timely manner. The basement in my 80 year old house looks great!! I am very pleased with the job Champion did and would recommend them. The work also has a lifetime guarantee and that guarantee goes with the house if I sell. I am very pleased with the outcome of this project.

I called and asked for a quote. The salesman,
Franklin Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
called me back and set up a time to come out. He was on-time to look at the work. He told me that he would get me a quote in the following few days. Several days went by and nothing. I called him and asked about the quote. He said he had emailed it. I checked my junk box etc. and no email. He said he would resend it when he got into the office later that day. Never did. I called again and he said he would send it from another computer. To this day, no emailed quote and no phone call to follow up. I had an experience with this company through a builder some years ago and service was good then. don't know what happened. As a remodeling contractor, I had recommended them in the past when asked about waterproofing, but won't any longer.
I just wanted an estimate to get my issues resolved and they couldn't handle that. Oh well..... Will look elsewhere.
