repaired the aging

thus saving me the headache of finding a replacement to fit in my built-in cabinetry. This Viking convection

(VMOC205SS) was originally over $1000. Its over 5 years old and has endured heavy use by our large family. The wear and tear on the door hinge was causing the

to blow the fuse. Mr.

adjusted the hinge, made internal repairs, and replaced the fuse for a very reasonable price in my home.
In comparison, a large appliance repair shop competitor which services Viking was not able to even accept my

for repair for two weeks out. They also wanted to charge me double just to look at it. The convenience of Mr

coming to my home fully equipped to repair on the spot was so worth it.

After
Columbus Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
failed to fixed our dryer we had a real electrician come in and take a look.
The real electrician tested the electricity and noticed that one leg of the 240v wasn't working and we were only getting 120v.
He replaced the breaker within minutes and suddenly the dryer worked again.
Columbus Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
let us down miserably and charged us $70 for the trouble!
We tried contacting the company several times for a refund but the excuses ranged from "All the team are on a training session" to "I'll speak to the tech and get back to you"
This is unacceptable
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE NOT TRUSTWORTHY!

I called provider on Wednesday and asked if I could get someone to look at my drier on Friday. I assumed that since I was giving them a day to plan that they might set an appointment for me. I should not make assumptions like that. The company said that someone would call me on Friday and give me a time they would come out. Fortunately, I did not have any time sensitive business on Friday.
About 10:00 Friday morning the company called and said that the technician would be out between 2:00 and 4:00 that afternoon. Shortly after 2:00 a technician showed up along with the owner of the company. The owner was very friendly and the technician was very efficient. They diagnosed the problem as a nut that had come loose on the blower fan. The owner told me that I had two options. Option one was to tighten the nut back up. Option two was to replace the fan. He told me that it was his belief that that fan was still good, but if I wanted to replace it he would. He also said that if they merely tightened the nut back up the work would carry a 90 day warranty. If the problem came back during that period he would replace the fan but that I would get credit for the amount I would be paying him today. He also told me that if they just tightened it up they would only be charging me for a quarter hour of labor which was the least he could charge.
I liked the options he gave me and I appreciated that he was only going to charge me a quarter hour of labor (especially since it only took them about ten minutes). However, I have to admit that I was really shocked that a quarter hour of labor costs $89.00.
Anyway, they fixed the fan and the drier has worked fine ever since so I am thankful for their help.

When the service Repairman came to assess the problem with my washer all went well. He was very knowledgeable We gave him half off the total cost to order the parts. Told us it would take a week and we were fine with that. After 3 weeks we were told that the manufacturer sent the wrong parts 3 times. In those 3 weeks of waiting it was almost impossible to contact anyone. We left many messages and most were unreturned. We decided to cancel the service and were assured we would get a partial refund within 2 weeks. Well it's about a month later and still no refund. None of our calls or emails have been returned since. We have reported them to the Better Business Bureau and to the New a

The range-top microwave oven bequeathed to us by our house's previous owners turned out to have been partly devoured by rodents. (They actually gnawed off some of the aluminum fan blades and the power cord. Impressive.)
So, we looked around
Columbus Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
, and found Builder's Source. I forget how we found them, Yellow Pages, possibly.
Anyhow, we visited their store on
Columbus Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
, and we were promptly greeted by
Columbus Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
, who showed us the various options and who took the time to explain them to us. He found us a very good deal on a GE model and arranged for it to be installed about a week later.
The installation crew,

and
Columbus Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
("Certified Install" from Albuquerque) showed up about a week later and installed the oven. This was no ordinary install. The previous owners had evidently bought their oven and then either installed it themselves or hired someone local to do so. As a result, the duct linkage that linked the oven outflow to the chimney duct was, well let's just say idiosyncratically-designed. I had tried to remove it previously to investigate the rodent activity but been unable to remove it.

and

went to work, got it out, and put in a new duct connector. They were at it for several hours and it was clearly very difficult work, but they remained in good spirits and professional throughout.
The oven has been in place and working perfectly for about a month now.

We telephoned to request an appointment to have a technician look at our refrigerator. Someone was at our door within one hour. Our refrigerator was freezing food. He opened the panel to look at the thermostat and discovered that the spring to the damper had come disconnected. He showed me the spring and replaced it. He did not charge us. He told us that we would wait a week or so to be sure this was all that was needed. If it still does not work, he said he will come back.
He had the opportunity to tell us that the part had to be replaced but instead was honest. He was clean, prompt, intelligent, and honest.

They cleaned the AC unit, and put up a new filter for me, and basically reset the brains of the AC unit and got it running again. These guys are the real deal, they normally work on commercial AC and resturaunts and things like that, so handling my little AC unit was no big deal for them. Great guys, super nice.

The temps in our 4 year old GE side by side were going up. The water stopped working. We went online and called the GE repair number. We called at 10 on a Monday morning and
Columbus Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
was knocking on our door by 4:00. He diagnosed the problem right away, the fan had stopped working. Unfortunately he didn't have all the parts with him but he was back the next morning and got the job done. We mentioned another problem we were having with the fridge and he took the time to correct that too.

was thorough, polite and knew what he was doing. Happily, we have a refrigerator in the garage so we didn't

office. I chose it on Angies List because it's closest to Sun City where we live.

Not only did the dishwasher break the day after they "repaired" it, they took the dishwasher from my home to fix it at the shop. When they did this, they left a water line open and it flooded my kitchen. When I called them to come fix this, the owner acted as if it was a crazy request! They did come back and cap off the water line, only after 2 phone calls from my husband. After half a dozen unanswered phone calls, and no one telling us the status of our dishwasher we finally tracked down the owner. It has been almost a month ( as of today 8/11, he has no idea what the status of our dishwasher is, and no ETA on its return. My husband informed him we need a completely working dishwasher or a full refund by the end of day. Still the owner could not care less. I called him back to tell him we would be filing a complaint with the BBB, and a negative review will be added to Angie's List, in response the OWNER of this company hung up on me. Extremely unprofessional, work that is questionable, and rude staff. Never trust your appliances, or your hard earned money to this company.

I called to schedule an appt to have an oven fixed. The person I spoke with wanted me to secure the appt with my credit card. I find this to be a bit unusual. Never have I had to give credit card info in order to get a service person to come out. When I told him that I was not comfortable giving him my card info and that I planned to pay the $50.00 service charge in cash, he increasesd the service charge to $70.00. This company penalizes cash customers by charging more! Why???
When I objected to their unfair pricing practice the person was rude. I was forced to cancel my request for service and hang up.
This was my first experience on Angies List and it was not a pleasant one!!
