"The service I received from
at A&T was great. I phoned him and he picked up immediately. He asked if I was free that day and within" 2 hours he was at my home and fixing the issue. I was amazed at his punctuality and his eagerness to complete the job so quickly. The supplier for oven parts had recommended him to me and
didn't disappoint. I am uncertain whether this was a
-competitive price to pay for the work or not but the oven is fixed in record-time and with little effort on my part so I am happy. I'd highly recommend trying A&T.

"I phoned two other companies who couldn't guarantee that they could even get me on their fix-it list this week. I then called
. I" was thinking later in the week he might fit me in, but he asked if he could come fix it right away :) Much to my surprise with a house full of kids, a dryer on the
, I was frazzled.
Brudelie, the owner, came out and fixed it right away. He was prompt, efficient and very reasonably priced. That total included everything parts and labor. Big hugs and Thanks to

If the ducts are venting through a window I'm assuming the duct work is all easily accessible.  Lowe's and Home Depot sell a cleaning kit that uses an electric drill to spin the brush as it goes through the ductwork.  I've found it to work quite well and you can do it yourself.  It may take a few passes the first time to get everything out if it has been a while since it was last cleaned.  Just make sure you get all of the loose lint out after running the brush through from both ends and you're good to go.  Please note that if the line is not hard but rather a flex duct line you can easily puncture a whole in it with this kit and will do better to clean it by hand.

As stated above, it can vary between companies.

Typically just an inspection implies you do not have a contract or agreement that may include discounts or free repairs.

With our company you would get the annual maintenace service that you should do every year, and if repairs are needed, they are extra, but you aviod paying a "service call charge" that would be related to most repairs, because you are paying for the "inspection" and we are already on site.

Inspections are often discounted in the slow seasons, and can usually be found advertised , at reduced prices , on Angie's List.

So consider Angie's List and find the best of the best in HVAC contractors!

I have never seen one of this type that does not exit the house. You would not want the grease dumping into your basement, even with a filter it will happen.

The greater part of your job will be carpentry as if there is a wall behind the stove a hole will have to be cut up through the basement into the wall up to the stove. Unless it is one of the stoves that allows for it to fit inside a cabinet below. To answer correctly most here would be a picture of where this project is being done. I have done motorized ones that extend up out of the counter when in use and then retract. Those exit through the cabinet and require the cook top is to the front of the counter and not a drop in one

As an added note these tend to be better as they do not pull the heat away from the stove top when in use as much as the ones flush with the stove. I have install quite a few and happen to have an Amana cook top with built in down draft and I have to shut it of to get water to boil on the back burners.

A carpenter will know what can be cut and what not in the basement, a sheet metal contractor should know as well but at the other end for the finish by the stove they might not. Most carpenters that do kitchens have installed the minimal amount of duct work for this. They just have to be carefull with the number of ellbows and the lenght of the duct.

Our washing machine had started leaking underneath over the weekend. I called
Columbus Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
, and
Columbus Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
was able to come to our house in a timely manner to make the repair. He arrived on time. He asked questions about what was happening with our washer and then began his diagnostics to determine the source of the leak. He was efficient, polite, and professional throughout. Ultimately, it turned out that the source of the water leak was from the door not closing properly. He repaired the door with parts we already had. We had been having trouble with that door for a while but never had the confidence to take the washer apart to replace the parts. After replacing those parts,
Columbus Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
ran tests to ensure that the problem was fully resolved...and it was. I appreciate that
Columbus Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
did not try to make unnecessary repairs. He has earned our trust, and we will always use
Columbus Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
for our appliance repairs.

We called them directly to get the blade fixed on the dish washer. We were very specific. When the tech came out he didn't even look in the dishwasher. He attached his machine to the dishwasher and ended up telling me it would be better off if we got a new motor on the dishwasher. We were very specific about the blade and were not going to accept the conclusion of what he recommended and what the price would have been if we had replaced the entire motor. The service call alone was going to be 80.00 which I thought wasn't right because we were very specific in what we needed and wanted and they totally ignored our needs. I asked to speak to the owner because I didn't think it was right what had happened, the service tech called the owner on his phone and the owner immediately started to threaten taking me to collections over the $80 service fee for a 15 min look at my dishwasher which the tech didn't even do what we asked. Then the owner told the tech that he wanted me to call him on his work line because he preferred speaking to clients on that line and when I did, his reeptionist (wife) told me he wasn't there and began arguing and screaming at me. I feel that it was his intention never to speak to me after he had gotten off the service tech's phone. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy!

Would never use them again While they did a good job some nasty person in there office call and demanded that they get paid before they left the job site. My office is out of town and we told them before they did the job they would have to bill us or take a credit card over the phone They treated me as if I was a thief. We pay are bills on time and really did not like their attitude at all. Would never call them again as they are very rude !

The service tech took the time to ask us questions about the lack of performance of our dishwasher. We felt that the dishes were not getting clean (dirty residue). We were "braced" for the news that our repair bill was going to be exorbitant. After putting the machine thru some basic tests, it was recommended that there was no actual issue with the dishwasher, but suggested that we make sure that we run the water in the kitchen sink to be certain it was really hot, switch to Cascade in the granular form, and add a product called Glisten. Problem solved! It was so refreshing not to get the run around on finding a solution.

I called a few appliance repairmen from Angie's List.
Columbus Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
was the only one who answered right away. We needed our
Columbus Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
fixed asap. He informed us of a reasonable trip fee up front and scheduled us in for the next day. He was on time and called when he was about ten minutes away. I am sensitive around strangers but quickly felt comfortable being alone with him. He was knowledgable, fast, and explained everything he was doing. I am recommending him to my family and friends. It's a really nice feeling being able to say, "I've got a guy for that".

It was great. As I explained above, He first came here on 1/6/14 to diagnose the problem. Then, on the 14th, after the part was received, he came back to do the installation. I paid for the cost of the repair part (+tax of course) and the cost of the Angie's list deal of $60. He gave great advice on my washing machine and he also told me what to look for in a good replacement for the dishwasher.
I have used
Columbus Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
