The service was very good. On time, knew what he was doing, had the proper tools, finished quickly, cleaned up when complete.

The workmen were on time and did an excellent job. I know the saying, "you get what you pay for' that basically applies when you try to go cheap. Still it is quite a chunk of money, so I rated the overall experience a B because of the price.

They called prior to arrival and arrived on time which is always great. The motor on one of my openers stopped working. The motor is guaranteed for life so it was no cost. I only paid for the labor to replace it. The motor was replaced and a second wireless keypad was added at my request. The tech insured that both keypads worked properly as did the remote that is hardwired to my car. Prompt, neat, and professional.

was Contracted by Verizon FIOS to replace a broken attic latter. He did an outstanding job. The work was done quickly, and quietly.
Columbus Door Installers Provider Name Locked
briefed me on his plan before he started, and showed me his progress during the job and asked for feedback. I have some other handyman-type jobs I need help with and I will contact him for the job. I did not comment on the price; Verizon paid the bill. I recommend

I'll keep this short. Excellent service! I called Overhead because the home (about 10 years old) was originally equipped/installed by Overhead. One of the two torsion springs for our 18' door broke over the weekend so I called first thing Monday morning.
The person I worked with on the phone (sorry don't recall her name) was very helpful and friendly and worked to get someone out as soon as possible. Even though I wasn't expecting someone for a few days they were able to get me handled that afternoon.

(service provider) was nothing short of excellent. Quick, efficient, friendly. After explaining everything and replacing both springs and a handful of other parts at my request he took the time to adjust and inspect everything.
One of the best service experiences I've had in a long time. Thank you.

Nick was prompt and courteous. His craftsmanship was apparent by the way he handled his tools and by the results of his labor. I am very happy with the repairs to my doors. I have already recommended him to friends.

Avoid this company unless you want to be ripped off! I unfortunately chose GDS to replace my

springs on 10/13/13 after finding one had broken. It was a Sunday, and before I had my Angie's List membership, so I selected them from a quick Google

for servicers that were available in my area. They came out in a few hours, and said oh you have an unusual door and need special heavy duty springs so its going to cost extra. My BS meter started going off, but I was already out the service charge, so I unfortunately went forward. It ended up costing $480.60 for a standard spring replacement, about double what respectable companies charge. I looked it up later, and my

is a very standard two car door, with very common springs and if I was more knowledgeable at the time and wasn't eager to have a working

I could have replaced them myself for less than $100. I did call them out on their inflated prices, and the installer said he didn't set the prices but he gave me a lifetime warranty on the springs.
Fast forward to 7/17/14 and my

suddenly would only open half way and went crooked. I was hoping that the problem would be related to the previous spring install and be covered by the warranty, so I reluctantly called GDS again. They came out again in a few hours and said they couldn't tell anything until they got working on it, so I was basically stuck with them again. It ended up being the end bearings that needed to be replaced, and not related to the springs so I was out another $562.17 (including their repeat customer discount that I doubt they see very often!) They got the door working again but did as little as possible to readjust it so it still goes crooked and makes more noise than it used to. I asked the installer if he knew that they charge at least double what others charge for the same service, and again I was told sorry, I don't set the prices.
Now that I am Angie's list member, I can see the nothing but horrible reviews GDS has and would never had went with them if I had any idea. Hopefully more people will see these reviews and companies like this will have to be more reasonable and competitive in the future. I'm almost out enough to buy a complete new

A refreshening experience. Over a year ago, I started trying to replace my entry door. I sent out emails and made calls but couldn't get so much as response. Then, when I found a showroom for a nationally marketed company, I almost fell over at the quote they gave me! Then, I started the process again about a month ago and found

& Window on Angie's List. First action - call the place and see if they are open and actually had a showroom.

answered the phone and his personality came through loud and clear. So, I drove over (it's not too far from my office) and met

. He took his time, walked me through the showroom and finishing department, pulled up my house on line and we looked at options. The price was fair, the quality looked great and we got the process started.

even called later in the day to see how things went, if I had any questions and asked about the job that the guys had done. I liked this little extra touch. And, every one reinforced that if I had any questions or issues, to be sure to call them right away.
This is a company that delivers what they sell and also make suggestions about how to keep my beautifully, stained wood door looking wonderful with a polishing of lemon oil on a monthly baiss.

Our experience was great. The bid was was on par with another quote we received, but at the time they were having a special with a free upgrade to their highest efficiency glass while to get a similar price from a different vendor we were having to go with the lowest grade glass. The crew was professional, nice, and left all areas neat and clean when they finished. The new windows look great and seem to doing a better job keeping the heat and dirt out of the house. Highly recommend!
