came right to my home to perform the work, which saved me all the added cost of having a repair shop come out and then transport my tractor to their place. He was courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. The work was performed in an excellent manner and at a very reasonable cost.
did exactly what he said he would do, exactly when he said he would do. I'm very pleased and impressed with this service!

answered the phone and told me he was available so I took my chain saw to him for repair. He said he would look at it and if the cost to repair was more than a new one he would let me know. He was friendly and personable. I called him the following week and he was working on it that day. I didn't really need it right away, so that was fine. He called me the next week to inform me that it was done, what he did, and that the cost was 45.00- very reasonable.I will definately use his service again.

I read previous reviews of
Ashland Lawn Mower Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
service and, since I needed the repair to be done at the house, I called and scheduled an appointment. They are really busy, and it took a few days to get them out, but I knew that going in.
As I typically do, I asked the technician (
Ashland Lawn Mower Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
) if I could watch him perform the work. He was happy to not only let me watch, but provided instruction along the way so that perhaps I could do this next time if necessary.
The lawn mower in question, has not been used in 4 years, as we lived in arizona and their is no grass. We started it occasionally just for fun, but much more. The mower then went into storage for 9 months and didn't get so much as a

of sunshine during that time. As a result, the gas turned to a solid gummy substance that locked down the fuel system.
Ashland Lawn Mower Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
cleaned the entire fuel system, but the mower still would not work properly. He diagnosed that as an electrical problem and identified what he believed to be the defective switch. He did not have the switch and stated he would have to order it. However, I told him i didn't mind going to pick up the switch and installing it, as this would be more time efficient. He agreed that this was the best plan, but told me to be sure to let him know if, for some reason ,it didn't work.
Sure enough, I installed the switch and it didn't work. I called
Ashland Lawn Mower Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
to discuss. They came back out at no charge, found the real problem (which was a different electrical sensor), fixed the mower, and refunded me the money I'd paid for the original part.
While I was a little disappointed that we had to have two service calls, I was very pleased with their response and how they handled it. Every now and again a glitch happens, but how they handled it was great.

What a great experience. Can't say enough accolades about Mr.
Ashland Lawn Mower Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
. He was friendly, knowledgeable and his prices are reasonable. He put the ride-on mower on his trailer and a week later we had it back looking like it was brand new. We thought he had waxed it because it was so clean and shiny. It looks so good, we don't want to use it and get it dirty!! He also gave us tips on how to keep the lawn mower functioning in perfect condition. I hope we don't have any more problems with the lawn mower; however, if we do, we will definitely call Mr.

and definitely will pass his name along to our friends and family.

My lawn tractor wouldn't start and was spitting out white smoke. I contacted
Ashland Lawn Mower Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
on Wednesday 7/23/14. I was told it may take up to 2 to 3 weeks for the turn-around time. They came out the next day to pick up the lawn tractor and they even honored the coupon I found on Angie's list. I was totally surprised when my wife called me on Friday at work informing me that the mower was all fixed and on our driveway. Thanks for the most efficient and fast service.

Our lawn mower won't start. My husband tried a couple of different things and had no luck. I contacted
Ashland Lawn Mower Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
and he picked it up that day. It took him about two weeks to fix it. The price is really reasonable considering that he picked it up and dropped it off too (the charge for that is $65).

My lawn mower would not start. I've had this lawn mower for at least six years and it has always started on the first or second pull. I was surprised when it would not start. I went to Angie's List for the first time and scheduled an on-site service visit with
Ashland Lawn Mower Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
. They came out as scheduled, performed a tune up - changed the oil, spark plug, air filter, sharpen the blade etc. After the tune up, It started right up.

We took our riding mower in for repair with this provider. The mower was smoking heavily once the blade was engaged and in full throttle and warmed up. It took approximately 5 minutes or less to begin smoking. We told all of these details to
Ashland Lawn Mower Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
's when we dropped it off for servicing. The guy who took it in wrote it down. After two weeks, we got a call that the mower needed a new head and that there was ring damage but that the new head would take care of the smoking problem and if that didn't work they would probably have to replace a cylinder. My husband, who has some engine knowledge told them to make sure to check for scoring before they replaced the head assuming there would be lots of scoring or it wouldn't smoke as much as it does. So we gave them the go ahead to do the work for $400.
After another couple of weeks, we got a call from
Ashland Lawn Mower Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
's that the mower was done, the mower was all fixed and that we could pick it up. We picked it up, got it home and tested it out. It was smoking just as heavily as before. So the mechanic did not test it or he would have known. I called
Ashland Lawn Mower Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
's and told them the mower wasn't fixed. They said they would pick it up and "make it right." They said they would "put us at the front of the line since we screwed up."
We weren't put to the front of the line because another few weeks past until we got another call from
Ashland Lawn Mower Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
's saying the mower needs a new engine! The person I spoke to "
Ashland Lawn Mower Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
's brother" said list price is $832. but that he could give it to us for a little above cost (which is around $600.) He called my husband next day to discuss and told him the new engine would cost us $800! When I called him and questioned his inconsistency in the cost he told me vs. my husband he said "oh, no, my cost is around $700. So why did he say it would cost us $800 when cost is $600 and then said it was $700!!?
He told me and my husband that the mower needs a new engine because the rings are leaking or bad or whatever. But the shop already knew the rings were bad before they replaced the head.
I called the shop again and spoke to "
Ashland Lawn Mower Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
's brother" who told me he had told my husband that if they replaced the head it would probably stop smoking and we would probably make it through the summer and then have to replace the engine after the mowing season. He did not say that. Why would we pay $400 just to get through the summer and then pay another $800 to replace the engine later!!? So I asked "
Ashland Lawn Mower Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
's brother" this on the phone". He said they "did what they could".
I asked "
Ashland Lawn Mower Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
's brother" why they let it out of their shop without testing it. He said the mechanic "probably didn't run it for 20 minutes or more but he had tested it". It takes 5 minutes for the smoking to start. So his mechanic didn't even test it for 5 minutes!!
So "
Ashland Lawn Mower Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
's brother" told me they won't give us any refund or even anything off a replacement engine. He told me we can give them the go ahead to replace the rings and it will be about $200. He told me he wasn't discussing it or arguing about it anymore. They still have our mower. We have been using a push mower on an acre of yard for over four weeks and we are trying to decide what to do now.
We were mislead and misinformed by people who know much more about mowers than we do. We were lied to several times (about the mechanic testing it, about the mechanic checking for scoring, about the cost of the engine replacement, about them getting the mower in first thing because they didn't fix it the first time or test it. We were ripped off.
Do not take your mower here.

I was mowing my lawn and had been having an issue with it for a few weeks. I called
Ashland Lawn Mower Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
and he said that he come to my house and have a look to see what the problem was. He was at my house in less than fifteen minutes and fixed my lawn mower. He's a really nice and honest man and would recommend his services to anyone that might have an issue with their mower. Can't say enough about how prompt and professional he was.
