"In September my bill was $156, the next month it went up to $184, then I called and they were supposed to reduce the amount because I was "a loyal customer."" My bill today, in February, and they upped my charge again. They also keep charging me for 6 TVs - I do not have 6 TV's. I called the main office and they have not yet gotten my bill corrected. The local company is not very helpful only the main office.

"I was trying to decide who to go with and Angie’s List didn’t have a lot of good information. In fact nobody did. I just went with whoever had the" fastest internet available. The service call was free, but the service itself costs about $145 monthly and that includes internet and premium services also. Their customer service is fine. They solved the problem itself. They come when they say they’re going to on a certain day within a window of time. The people are good but the system isn’t that great. They are way too expensive.

Cable and satellite TV

The variety of home entertainment options continues to increase as stations are added and TV technology advances. It's important to do your homework before choosing a television service provider.

Cutting cable costs by streaming TV and movies

More consumers are cutting the cord for cable TV services and switching to streaming movies and TV shows from the Internet and content services like Netflix and Hulu. One group estimates that as many as 3.56 million Americans will make the switch in 2012 alone.

Cable Tv Service reviews in Vancouver

The installer was fine at his job (but wanted me to call him directly instead of calling
Vancouver Cable Tv Providers Provider Name Locked
in case of trouble in the future. I get it. I know why he would want that. But no). Everything else, every other customer service interaction, has been exactly as bad as
Vancouver Cable Tv Providers Provider Name Locked
's abysmal and well-deserved terrible reputation would lead you to expect. They love passing the customer from one agent to the next: I got hung up on and/or transferred by two separate people before I finally got someone to do what was needed one of the many times I've had to call to get something fixed. Just got my first bill, which included $140 for a service I cancelled weeks ago and never used. The latest customer service guy I spoke to claims he's removed it, but a lot of claims from
Vancouver Cable Tv Providers Provider Name Locked
agents have proved to be false in the past month (We spelled your name wrong on your initial order? Too bad, you have to go in person to a
Vancouver Cable Tv Providers Provider Name Locked
office to have it changed. The next week, a different agent I speak to on the phone fixes it on the spot. And that's just one example of many).
In short, incompetent staff that doesn't care (and I imagine they're paid nowhere near enough to care at all). If you are stuck with
Vancouver Cable Tv Providers Provider Name Locked
, never, ever, EVER use their online chat service, is my advice. Like, ever. You may get tossed around from agent to agent on the phone, but it'll still be better than "
Vancouver Cable Tv Providers Provider Name Locked
" the know-nothing agent at the other end of the chat.
I have no other option for cable or Internet in my current location. Otherwise I never would have chosen
Vancouver Cable Tv Providers Provider Name Locked
, which is exactly as useless as I expected. The only reason I don't give them flat-out across-the-board F's is that the actual cable and Internet service seems to be good. I indicated I'd use them again, but that's because, again, sometimes you have no other option. If I did, the answer would be H***, NO.

I changed the TV service because of increasing prices, but I kept the land line phone and Internet. Even when they dropped the price, they dropped it from the raised price, not the previous one.

I know others have had issues, but I've had nothing but positive experiences with TWC. I've been using them since I moved to the area about 20 yrs ago. Yes, I'd rather pay less than what I do for services, but their customer service has always been great for me (& it's the primary reason I've stayed with them). Very rarely have I had connectivity or cable issues, but they've been responsive & professional when I have.
- M R L.

It is not unusual to have trouble with all three areas (phone, internet and TV.) Sometimes I can fix problems on my own by resetting the systems. The basic attitude of the company is that they are the only provider who offers this package. When it works, it works well. However, I've had a lot of problems with it. Members can call and ask for "client services" or "client retention" to ask for a discount. Ask to speak to someone higher up to discuss bill.
- Herschel L.

My first pet peeve is I've contacted them five times in the last week for service related issues with their online chat and every time, they tried to sell me additional services. If I'm having trouble with a company's performance, the last thing I want to do is spend more money on their services. My internet services started fine and now I only get to download 0.26 MBS when I am paying for 50 MBS. I'm paying for 140 channels and am only receiving 10 channels and they are weird channels like 24-7 star trek next generation, QVC, and some public access cable channel. On the plus side, they are able to send a service person within 48 hours.

At the home show I attended, I talked to a gentlemen from
Vancouver Cable Tv Providers Provider Name Locked
about getting an alarm system from them. He quoted me a price. I said I don't want to follow through on this and I will call when I am ready to proceed. When I went to my computer and looked at this months bill. They had raised it to that quoted price- $132. When I called to complain. They told m that they had no record of the previous price I had been guaranteed until June. They wanted me to sign up for a whole new price that was much greater than $109/monthly that I was paying previously. They said they would get back to me within two or three days and I haven't heard a word since!

Installation appointments were a problem - 1st installer did not know how to do the job & had wrong order. 2nd installer did not show &
Vancouver Cable Tv Providers Provider Name Locked
did not call to cancel appointment. 3rd installer - finally internet & long distance installed & appear to be working after 2 wks. 4th installer came for Contour 2 DVR, which was to be FREE - no upgrade & no installation cost. Just received bill....we were charged $60 for the DVR installation - which took the person, at most, 15 min, & required no new connections. Just unplug old box & plug this one in & do setup. We have only the initial salesman's word about the free installation - SO I assume we have no recourse on the charge. DO NOT GO WITH

I have spent countless hours trying to get my internet and TV services working. Either via online chat, phone or waiting for a technician. It may or may not work for a while, and then fails. I have been assured that they can resolve the issues, but finally I have had to throw in the towel. The technicians are polite but it seems the technology is simply lacking.
