"Three movers came and moved all of our furniture and some boxes into storage. They arrived right on time and went to work immediately. They finished loading the truck and then on to the storage unit. Again, they were quick and efficient. About 10 days later, they met me at the storage unit and loaded the truck. They made short work of the move and everything was placed into the house as requested. They helped to set the beds up and then left.

"When I scheduled appt with
Tacoma Movers Provider Name Locked
I was quoted 115/hr and two guys. What showed up was three men and a quote for 156/hr. I told them I didn't sign up for that and the crew lead,
Tacoma Movers Provider Name Locked
, got
Tacoma Movers Provider Name Locked
on the phone and we resolved the issue without much pain. The three guys couldn't be nicer and more professional in their craft. I really liked how respectful they were to our belongings, time and family. I am still stunned at how fast they made this all go. I give the crew an A and the management a B. I would use them again and recommend to anyone.

"This is regards to moving a 2 bedroom apt. from
Tacoma Movers Provider Name Locked
to Tacoma.
I arranged all this by e-mail. There was not attempt to ascertain the amount of furniture, I did have enough furniture for a 2 bedrm house....
The provided a 3 day window for pickup. 8 PM of the very last day they called to say they were an hour away. I reminded them that they would need a smaller truck to shuttle from my apartment to the full size van. The driver was unaware despite my communications with the company. As a result, they put off the move for a day and gave me $100 off.
They arrived at 11:30 the next morning and took over 8 hrs to load, though I had packed almost everything. As a result I got a very late start for my long drive north.
The shuttle truck was too small. Late in the day they said they might have to go empty it and come back, which would have added at least 2 hrs (the moving van was parked 25 miles away). They then decided they could fit everything.
Furniture was wrapped well -- until they ran out of moving blankets, having underestimated the amount of furniture. The combo of lack of wrapping (before moving stuff into the van), trying to squeeze it into the smaller truck and maybe fatigue after 8 hrs of loading may account for damage. I remain surprised they try and do all this with just 2 workers.
They promised a call that night about the actual weight. I finally called 3 days later and requested the info before they relayed the wt (and cost).
They did warn me delivery could take up to 3 weeks, but there was no estimate of actual delivery date until day or two before -- after changing their estimate a couple of times. They delivered 11 days after pickup.
Upon arrival, there were multiple items broken or damaged. Chief among them a glass table top. There was an box with electronic equipment had been soaked due to rain leaking in the truck. A chair with water stains. A file cabinet with the wheel broken off. A desk broken at multiple seams, dye rubbed off several corners of a leather sofa.
It felt like I had to discover all these problems as opposed to announcing them upon discovery. They glued the desk back together at the seams and taped it to set; The opened the electronics to dry. A photo was taken of the broken glass. The problems were written on the manifest.
I was told I would be called to settle any claims. No one ever called. I have an e-mail into the original sales agent seeking direction on filing claims.
The 2 movers were polite, pleasant and worked hard. They appeared to pack everything pretty well, but 11 days in the truck and everything compressed and stacked took it toll. Plus the moving van leaked water.
Certainly not what I expected from an all "A's" rating on Angie's List.

"I coordinated the move with
Tacoma Movers Provider Name Locked
, the owner. We were moving from a 2 bed/1 bath house to a 4 bed/2 bath house. He gave me a phone estimate based on a furniture inventory list I'd prepared. He estimated 4-6 hours for a 2-man crew (8-12 man hours). We were apprehensive about getting our own truck, but
Tacoma Movers Provider Name Locked
promised they would bring all necessary equipment and the cost savings he was offering as compared to the 4 other bids I received were enough to offset the price of the truck and our apprehension.
The move went off wonderfully.
Tacoma Movers Provider Name Locked
and
Tacoma Movers Provider Name Locked
(crew) arrived on time at the house we were moving into and arranged the furntiture that we'd purchased from the seller first. They were careful, diligent, quick and fun to be around, which was nice because moving is stressful! After this, we drove to the house we were moving out of and they loaded everything.
Tacoma Movers Provider Name Locked
and
Tacoma Movers Provider Name Locked
were doing such a great job that we asked them to help with more than we'd originally planned and we still ended up within budget.
These guys are great, careful, quick and strong. I recommend them without reservation. The added "chore" of obtaining our own moving truck was so totally worth it.

"This was the best decision I've ever made when it's come to moving. Their pricing was reasonable and their responsiveness excellent. I cannot recommend these guys enough. They were on time, and handled our things with respect and care. They finished early and under-budget and were wonderful "excellent gentlemen" all around."

"Based on our great experience with
Tacoma Movers Provider Name Locked
and his crew moving from our old house and into storage (see report for 11/19/2011), we knew we wanted them to handle our move from storage and into the townhouse.

On moving day, as on the previous job, the crew arrived on time. They had us out of storage very quickly (with no misadventures) and we were soon at the townhouse for the unloading. I should mention that the townhouse presented some serious challenges: Multiple levels separated by narrow stair wells, a lot of beautiful but vulnerable solid wood interior doors and door-frames, polished wood floors (slippery!), etc. The crew was a bit dismayed by the amount of stairs (one flight from street to bedrooms, two flights from street to living room / kitchen, three flights from street to roof-top deck) but they persevered and barely slowed down at all. Our Texas-sized sofa cleared the first landing and jammed on the second. They handled this good-naturedly, got the sofa out of the way, and finished unloading and placing everything else. The Texas-sized sofa and matching chair-and-a-half had to be trucked back to storage. Even with the stairs and the extra trip back to storage, the crew made great time and kept a positive attitude.

The reason I gave this report all A’s except for a B on professionalism (rather than all A’s like the previous report) is that in both cases the crew consisted of two veterans,
Tacoma Movers Provider Name Locked
and
Tacoma Movers Provider Name Locked
(who have their work down to an art form), and one "floater". On the first move, the floater performed really well and seemed to be adding a lot of productivity in spite of
Tacoma Movers Provider Name Locked
experience. However, on the second move, the floater was a different person, and just wasn’t adding much to the effort, and occasionally got in the way of

.

Bottom-line, we highly recommend
Tacoma Movers Provider Name Locked
and his company, and would definitely use them again.

"The original movers I had lined up could not do the job, as the
Tacoma Movers Provider Name Locked
was too large and too heavy. I was in a pinch because the
Tacoma Movers Provider Name Locked
company had scheduled my
Tacoma Movers Provider Name Locked
and was waiting for it. I called several companies for estimates -- most of them didn't think they could do the job or were ridiculously expensive.
Tacoma Movers Provider Name Locked
was able to schedule my job when I needed them at a reasonable price. They were very professional, handled my precious
Tacoma Movers Provider Name Locked
with care, and got it to Homestead Stoves in Centralia without a hitch. The
Tacoma Movers Provider Name Locked
man said they did a great job on his end as well. J. K.
Tacoma Movers Provider Name Locked
(the great grandson of the founder of the company) came out himself to get my
Tacoma Movers Provider Name Locked
. He and his driver were wonderful to work with. Thank you! It was nice to deal with folks who were friendly AND who knew what they were doing!

"They were very friendly over the phone when we called for an estimate. They were on time and very professional. They worked great together! The day we moved was the hottest day EVER (105+) in the Seattle area. I felt sorry that they had to move us in that heat, but it didn't seem to phase them. The price was incredible. It was actually less than the quote! They were awesome and I would recommend them to anyone!"

"Estimate over the phone competetive. Gave them detailed description of move. The time it would take was tight, but reassured they could do it in the one day window. The morning of move called to say they had rescheduled for afternoon and impossible time. Then wanted to add (at my cost) an additional worker. Workers were fair. Undocumented with poor English, not prefessional as promised. Took much longer than promised, which put them into overtime. Even had to pay for time their truck was broken. Cost was well over 2X the bid, and once papers signed no recourse. Packing was poor, breakage was expected so I moved all valuable items myself. True bait and switch."

"I called to make an appointment for an estimate, and set up a time with
Tacoma Movers Provider Name Locked
within 2 days of my call, a Friday. On the day of the estimate, I waited 30 min. Before calling the company. They had recorded my phone number incorrectly, but
Tacoma Movers Provider Name Locked
said he'd stop by on his way home that evening. We did a walk-through, and he gave me an estimate of $975 for 8 hours for a weekday move. I called him on the following Monday to give him confirmation and set up a moving day. It was set for Friday of the same week between 8AM and 9AM. He also dropped boxes and moving supplies off at my request with no charge. On moving day, 2 men showed up at 7:30AM and started moving. They wrapped door frames and stair handrail, furniture and the TV and laid down floor covering both on hardwoods and carpet, and provided wardrobe boxes for clothes. At the new house, they prepped the same way, and were finished unloading in 6 hours with no breaks and nothing broken or damaged."
