Remodeling reviews in Snohomish

This is a rehab house i purchased that needed lots of work..... bath was shot and outside needed work...i contacted these guys on a cold call.. and went with their bid although i thought it was a little high because they seemed to be willing to work with me..
it started with the bathroom... I had them bid for a nice bathroom with granite and tile... tub etc... we picked tile... took them tile and showed them how we wanted it... showed up.. tile was laid.. and not how we asked for it.. made them take it out....
They talked us into considering

the exisitng tub... said it will clean up and look new... i told them to clean it up and let me inspect it.. if i liked it they could use it.. but do not install it without my approval... I show up next week.. its been installed without even being cleaned up..... they tell me oh we will get it resurfaced and look good as new.... ( they tried to bill me more for resurfacing tub than a new one)....
.. Next they call me..... tell me all the fascia is in good shape and doesn't need replaced... just painted.. so I allow them to scrape and paint it all instead of replace......... i show up and its all nice and painted accept on the car port.... and the workers say they were told only the house not the carport. ( attached to house)... Call

.... and he says oh the car port was not in the scope of work... we bid to do 150feet only... and my contract said REMOVE AND REPLACE ALL EXISTING GUTTERS and replace up to 150 feet of Fascia.... we finally agree on cleaning and painting the existing... ..
Finally everything seems to be in order after multuple complaints and screw ups...... we went ahead and paid them... went to use the new bathroom for the first time... water was not on to the toilet... i reach down to turn it on.. see that they didnt replace the angle stop.. they shut water off to toilet becuase angel stop was leaking buckets...... i called them up..... and hear oh the angle stops were not in the scope of work for a brand new bathroom.. 9k for a bathroom and leave rusted and leaking angle stops.....
Final bill had to be argued about as well....... tried to raise the price without clearing it first...........
I would have to say I would never use this contractor again..... I consider myself partial to blame for not covering every nut bolt and screw in the scope of work...... and them for looking for every excuse to do half a$$ work....and avoid doing the job right... The bathroom is beautiful hopefully nothing else is wrong that i have not figured out though because i am tired of hearing it was not in the scope of work..

They guys came out to install a new cooktop and downdraft vent in my kitchen island. They were prompt and notified me when they would be arriving. They informed us on every aspect of the installation and explained to my husband exactly what they were doing. They were very courteous and cordial. Very knowledgeable about what the installation and pointed out a small glitch in the compatibility of the cooktop with the downdraft vent before proceeding with the work. We acknowledged and they got right to work. They answered all our questions. They had to make some modifications to the vent work. The guys were very efficient. They cleaned up the work area. We were pleased with the work done. The price was a bit more than I was quoted on the phone, but some of that was because of the modifications made to the vent work.

One of the best decisions that we ever made was when we hired
Snohomish Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
for our kitchen renovation. We had been planning this project for about six months and had spoken to 3 other companies that specialized in this type of work. Only 1 of the 3 was comparable from the aspects of cost, design counselling and leaving us with confidence in their ability to deliver our vision of function, quality and aesthetics. We are now absolutely certain that we chose the best company for the job.
From our first meeting with
Snohomish Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
it was apparent that she was a knowledgeable designer. Her counselling and suggestions were practical and appealing, and in a very short period of time we were able to finalize a design. The finishing design details were suggested to us by

, after he completed his detailed measurements.

further assisted us in sourcing hardware that we chose to purchase separately. Even though it was not Keystone's responsibility, their project manager,
Snohomish Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
, came to our assistance with very sound advice and an offer of advocacy when we raised questions about another contractor that we had hired.
Without diminishing our appreciation for those that we have already mentioned, we have to say that star of this project was Keystone's cabinet maker,
Snohomish Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
. We have never been so comfortable with a contractor in our home as we were during the time that
Snohomish Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
was renovating our kitchen. We have never seen anyone produce such high quality work, so quickly, and with so much concern for the household where he was working. We are sure that
Snohomish Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
is already aware that
Snohomish Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
is a talented craftsman and a great corporate ambassador, but we feel that this cannot be overstated. We enjoyed having him in our home, and will always be grateful for how he addressed all of our questions, the excellent advise that he offered and the beautiful, well-crafted kitchen that he built for us.
It was our experience that everyone at
Snohomish Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
is totally committed to care and quality. This became evident during our initial meetings and continued to become even more apparent during the construction and final inspections that completed our project. In the future we would never consider using anyone else.

The kitchen designer came first and layed out plans for an improved set of cabinets. We chose quarter sawn cherry as the material -- stained to look like teak. Very plain doors... we wanted it to look like furniture.

The remodel was supposed to start the first of
Snohomish Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
but they were running behind and their supplier hadn't ordered the facing material. For the 3 week delay, the owner gave us 11 easy close drawers for free. I am glad he did because I love them.

The men who worked on the removal and install were all great. They were very considerate about keeping our floors protected and dust out of the rest of the house.

The remodel was supposed to take 4 weeks but it took more like 10 weeks due to various delays. Getting materials, redoing some of doors and drawers due to errors, etc. They did keep us informed along the way and the owner gave us more freebies such as new slide out shelf drawers,

under cabinet lights, and back splashes. I figure he gave us over $3500 worth of upgrades.

One bay of our garage was used as a work space.

We set up a mini kitchen upstairs with small refrigerator, hotplate and microwave and lots of paper plates. And ate out a lot.

The kitchen looks fabulous. We have so much more storage room and easy access. The finish on the doors and drawer fronts is great -- the water just beads right up. Easy to just wipe off.

This company is a pleasure to work with and we highly recommend them for bath or kitchen remodels. The owners and staff are great. Wish we had done this years ago.

It went very well.
Snohomish Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and his team were all very professional, polite, and extremely careful of our house. They covered the entire hardwood floor to protect it. They arranged our appliances so we could still have access to our refrigerator during the remodel, they hung plastic sheeting to keep the adjoining rooms clean.

They were very flexible and worked with us. The did an amazing marble tile backsplash that goes all the way from the counter to the bottom of the cabinets that came our beautiful.

We will definitely have them back when we are ready to remodel the master bathroom.

I had been wanting to replace the old counters in my home for a while and get things updated, especially since my house is nearly 20 years old. I finally took the plunge and began that daunting task of "interviewing" contractors and getting bids for the job. When I called Elegance by Design Kitchen and Bath I immediately felt important. They were able to get out within a reasonable amount of time to take a peek and bid the job. When they arrived, they were prompt, courteous, respectful, and very knowledgable about their trade. The entire process from measuring my kitchen to the installation day was handled with the utmost care and professionalism. They treated my job as if it was their own home they were working on and took pride in their work - as they should because my kitchen looks amazing and has a touch of "Elegance" now!!

After closing on the purchase of our 1970’s house, the home inspection revealed issues and deficiencies that we were anxious to correct to avoid long-term damage. In addition, we wanted to update the master bathroom and convert an over-sized recreation room into space tailor-designed for our needs. This included carving-out a guest bedroom that retained the windows but not the sliding door which was our only access to the back deck and yard. Also note that we had down-sized from 11 rooms plus basement to 7 rooms with a crawl space and usage of every square inch of floor space was critical. In searching for a general contractor, we found TCG, Incorporated as the solution for all of our inspection issues and remodeling plans.

The job went very well, and I am very pleased with the results. He was easy to talk with, kept me updated, was punctual and had the job completed on schedule.

In person visit to the business on a Saturday, we were the only potential customers there - My feeling is that they were distracted an not interested in us. My feeling is they focus on clientele were price is of no concern.

Provided them a design that was done by another - received no feedback or evaluation. Note - a fair amount of work was done for them.

Took a while for someone to begin the estimate process - I had to call them for a follow up to see if an estimate would be provided.

The person that came to our residence - first think my wife noticed is that he reeked of cigarette smoke.

Estimate was provided quickly - it was very high and the cabinette were being fabricated by another manufacturer. First estimate did not have a break down of services and costs for those services. Asked for the breakdown and they were very quick in providing the details.

In short they were in the mode of being a general contractor - subcontracting all the services. What I was looking for was a partnership where they did design proposals, list the modification requirements, acquire and install the cabinets. We would be our own general contractors.

This business is over rated in my view.

We had
Snohomish Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
come to our home to give us an estimate on how much it would cost to extend the kitchen and dining room. He spent some time examining the structure and then he gave us a ball park estimate which turned out to be much more than we thought the project was worth so we decided not to do it. It was a pleasure dealing with
Snohomish Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a contractor.
