met me at the granite showroom and helped me select the granite slabs. I selected a very unusual patterned slab and was able to go to the workroom and select how the slab was to be laid out cut. The installers were prompt and courteous and the installation went quickly and smoothly. The counter top is really the star of my kitchen remodel! Thank you. I can't wait to remodel the bathrooms.

The first repair that was done was not acceptable. The finish was rough and it looked like a 5 year old kid had repaired it. They sent someone else out and they basically redid the job to our satisfaction without charging us again.

They gave a list of granite suppliers to visit for granite selection process. Viewing many slabs allows you to get an idea of the the counter top will look like, this is better that looking at small samples on the wall or in books. After selecting the slab they arranged for the stab to be sent to their shop. They came to our home and did measurements. We purchased kitchen sink and

sink for the bathroom through them because they were able to get them wholesale. The kitchen sink retails for $850 and they were able to get for $250.
They came to our home to help remove the back-splash so I could remove wallpaper prior to install. We agreed upon an install date and they arrived at agreed upon time. They removed the old counter-tops and handled disposal. Counter-tops fit perfectly and look great. They answered all questions related to care agreed to make any adjustments. They gave us a plumber recommendation for have drains and facets connected.

Every time I came in, I had to fill out a new new customer form because they had lost the previous. (I filled out four forms)
We were advised to wait until the week of the contractor coming in before selecting our remnant in case they -accidentally broke it-. I wonder how often that sort of thing happens there. Our AES contractor needed to have everything in so that they could get the job done in time, and UMG took almost a month to get everything in, delaying them and I hope giving AES a good hard look at the customer service and other practices of

circled it in the book, as well as filling out the form, and photocopied it for me. She ordered the wrong sink. Ordinarily, I'd say this is fine. People make mistakes! But when I called to discuss it, her response was a very defensive and snotty "well I did MY job" rather than owning up. At this point, I was pretty upset because I promised my contractors that I'd do MY JOB and get everything in on time.
UMG never worked with us to establish an initial installation date.

The installers came in with the countertop and sink on a new day (woohoo! finally) And then discovered a hairline fracture in the new sink.

She said she'd call us as soon as it'd come in, but we didn't hear about it until we walked into the store. She also said installation would happen THE DAY it came in. It happened 5 days later. (Holiday nonwithstanding, we were a small job and I definitely FELT that way -- they put us on the backburner)
Second countertop comes in after waiting for weeks because of a backorder. Woohoo! Finally. Except AGAIN they did not SCHEDULE AN INSTALLATION TIME with us, and decided to come in when we were both going to be out. After a long conversation with the office manager, they agree to come in a little earlier.
The guys arrive, come in, plug their gear in to discover! Second countertop is CUT WRONG and DOES NOT FIT THE SINK.
I guess the third time is the charm.

They never offered any sort of remediation after all of this. I intend to walk in and have a discussion with the manager.
I don't know if I could speak for the rest of the company, but I would avoid this place.
You might also note that this place has a few Better Business issues worth looking into. I wish I had known that beforehand.
Go to another company. UMG is NOT worth the frustration.

Hwy Abingdon, VA (the business is a has a note on the door to call or email for an appointment). I emailed requesting an appointment and was promptly responded to by the owner. I met her several days later at the business and advised that I needed 2 granite bathroom vanities, gave her the dimensions and inquired if 2 pieces I had seen on her yard would work. She measured the on site granite and indicated they would work. I was given a quite low price and she told me to let her know when I would need such. I advised it would be 2-3 weeks out. The next week I called (had to leave a message on her phone asking her to call me back) to give her a firm date. After 2 days of no returned call, I phoned again and had to leave a voicemail. Later in the week I did the same. After over a week and no returned phone calls I became concerned and decided that perhaps I should look elsewhere. On my way to do so I went by her business and saw her truck. I went in and asked why my calls had not been returned. She made 3 very lame excuses and stated she was ready to do the job when I was ready. She also asked the sizes of granite I needed. Evidently, she made no notes of our earlier discussion. I gave her a date for installation about a week away and she again stated no problem. The day before the installation date she called and stated the onsite granite I had chosen was not large enough! She stated she would check in Asheville in the next day or two and see if they had any thing similar. I called three days later and was told they did not, but she brought a sample of another color and would leave it outside her business. I picked up the sample (which was 3"x 3" -too small to really ascertain the pattern or real color) and called to ask if I could go to Asheville and see the slab before making the decision. I also inquired about the price of the new product. She asked me what she had quoted me on the original and said she would call me back to make sure someone would meet me in Asheville. She never called.
Her poor business practices and inattention to detail wasted by time and delayed my project by three weeks.

called early in the morning of the job to confirm he was coming over. He performed the following activities: Washed and cleaned off the patio area. After all was dried, applied 4 coats of sealer. All was done and completed in the same day.
He left product so I could do any touch up during the year and provided a 6 month guarantee for the sealing.
There was no mess and the patio looked as good as when it was poured June of last year.
Would "highly" recommend this company to do any coating and sealing of contrete areas.

We had a problem: We had just used a different granite shop to install new countertops and a black granite composite sink. The granite turned out great, but the sink started scratching the very first time we used it. Within a few weeks, it was a mess of scratches. The installer refused to tell us the manufacturer of the sink he provided, and he refused to replace it unless we assumed responsibility for the plumbing labor and risk of damage to the kitchen. We knew this wasn't right - the guy sold us a cheap, defective sink and refused to make it right without us incurring additional expense/risk - so we started asking around.
Most of the installers we talked to agreed that the sink should not be scratching so easily, but weren't willing to help because they didn't want to get involved in a dispute with the other installer.

And a final word of warning - if you do go with another installer, insist on a brand-name granite composite sink such as
