Renton Home Theater Installers Reviews

"I was dissatisfied with the product quality and attempted to return the merchandise within the 30-day refund time period offered. The fine print on the contract read refunds for unopened merchandise only. I had to beg them to allow me to pay a 15% restock fee - horrible store policy."
"This is the first Angie's Big Deal that I haven't been 100% satisfied with and I have been dragging my feet on whether or not to write a review. Not sure whether it didn't work out as planned because of miscommunication or what but I didn't end up where I thought I would. We asked to have our computer connected to our TV. They are located in separate rooms. I wanted to view movies on the TV. When I called to make the appointment, we set a date and the company rep showed up on time and got right to work. He went into the crawl space to run wires to connect the computer and TV. Toward the end of his visit he said he wanted to confirm that we just wanted to show pictures on our TV and that we weren't looking for sound. I was startled to hear that since we wanted to show movies and, of course, would want sound. When I told him that, he said I would need some additional equipment. The cost would have been another $200 - $300. We did not go for the additional expenses. So our TV and computer are now hooked up but I still can't play movies. Did we fail to communicate? I'm a non teckie but can't understand why someone would ask for a TV to be hooked up to a computer just to show still pics. I am disappointed. I was generous in my rating since I found them prompt and courteous and he certainly worked diligently on getting the wiring through some difficult spaces. I don't know if my non teckie understanding

REALLY knows what he is doing. He made a site survey even though he knew that most of the sound system was already in place and that his opportunity for further sales was limited. He provided, at no charge, very valuable advice about my system, which I followed, resulting in a 100% improvement in sound quality. In addition, I purchased two ceiling speakers from him to complete my sound system, and had his team do the installation. Results were perfect.
In the future, I plan to back out most of my current components (purchased at Best Buy) and go with recommendations for upgrades from

If you really care about the quality of your system, DO NOT GO TO THE BIG BOX STORES. Those clowns don't know what they are talking about, and you will be disappointed at the results.
"They communicated the time they would arrive and came in looked at the work to be done and got right too it. No upselling, no we can't do that, and a surprising answer of if it's not broken, no need to upgrade!
They even cleaned off my dusty components.
