Plumbing reviews in Redmond

Redmond Plumbers Provider Name Locked
was great. My house was built with a style of valve that is no longer used because they tend to fail. Several of mine have already been replaced by
Redmond Plumbers Provider Name Locked
when they were here for a bathroom and then a kitchen remodel. When another one failed we decided to have the remaining ones changed. Had a small miscommunication problem: I sent a written message through Angies list stating I needed the valves replaced and when
Redmond Plumbers Provider Name Locked
arrived, he thought he was replacing faucets. He didn't have the exact parts he needed so some of my sinks have mismatched valves but I am ok with that. He worked quickly and got it all done. I would definitely use them again.

We had selected O’
Redmond Plumbers Provider Name Locked
because of a good experience with them in the past, but we were very disappointed with this experience. We had scheduled an appointment to replace two toilets since we had some guests coming to visit from out of town. Someone from O’
Redmond Plumbers Provider Name Locked
called the day before the appointment (7/2/2014) and left a voicemail confirming the time window for 7/3. We waited at home from 2-4pm as planned, but nobody showed up. We called at 4:30pm but could not get anyone on the phone. We left a voicemail asking where they were, but nobody returned the call. It was unprofessional enough not to show up on time, but totally unacceptable to not even call back to explain what happened.

We called Stack because of their rating on Angie's List. Our kitchen faucet was leaking and then became very hard to move. We were not sure if we needed repair or replacement. They were nice enough to suggest the old faucet had seen better days, and helped us in choices for our new faucet, even when they did not know if we would hire them. When we found the faucet; we made arrangements for its installation. They returned our calls the same day. We have 22 year old pluming which involved some plastic pipes. The plumber adjusted the installation to accommodate our setup, and then helped with the outside faucet. As the plumber was packing up, we tried out the new faucet, only to have the whole hose assembly fly off in pieces. We ran out and got the plumber. He looked at the problem and suggested we call the vendor. He stayed right there with us so he could explain what had happened. Apparently, this is a "first" for this brand of faucet. He then supplied a cap for the hose so it would not go back down the faucet until we could get a new sprayer. He also demonstrated how to install the new part. Our vendor was very cooperative, and we appreciated the extra time and trouble the plumber went to to help us solve the problem. It turned out to be an assembly problem with the manufacturer of the faucet. Their recommendations and service were top notch.

I called these guys because I had read good reviews and ratings on Angie's List, but I must say I was a little disappointed. I had a leaky shower and from talking to neighbors, they told me I would need to replace the shower cartridge. Because the houses in the neighborhood were built by the same builder and at approximately the same time, my neighbors that had experienced a similar problem indicated to me what the correct replacement cartridge was. Anyways... I bought the replacement cartridge from Home Depot before calling Vortex, obviously to save time since the coupon only covered 2 hours. All they needed to do was replace the cartridge. The guy came by and told me I had the wrong cartridge. We then went out to a couple of stores nearby to look for the correct one. And the 2-hours were counting.... We ended up (supposedly) not finding, so all he did was he took the handle and old cartridge apart and showed me how to replace it and told me to look for the correct one and then I could do it by myself later. Or I could pay him for whatever time was necessary for him to go out, buy the right one for me and come back and replace it. I declined the offer, having spent $119 with him just so he could show me how to do it. I ended up returning the cartridge to Home Depot. Now, here comes the interesting part. I went out to look for the "right" cartridge and went to

hardware. The knowledgeable guy there told me I had the right cartridge all along, but Delta changed the design slightly from my old one so they looked slightly different, but were compatible. He even showed me the compatibility chart from Delta. I then "re-purchased" the exact same one I had before and replaced it myself. Worked like a charm. So, to be fair, I don't think the guy from Vortex had ill intent. I think he genuinely believed I had the wrong one, but I'll give them a C because it shows lack of experience on the job and in the end of the day, I spent $119 with them just so he could show me how to replace a shower cartridge. Oh... and he even charged me an extra fee due to my address being outside of their primary coverage area. OK, this was already specified in the coupon and I was expecting it. But I feel like he could have waived that, given that he actually didn't do the work he came here to do... and he could have done it because as I said I had the right part in front of us all along.

Redmond Plumbers Provider Name Locked
(one of the three plumbers who I am told work for
Redmond Plumbers Provider Name Locked
) called the night before to make sure he knew what supplies to bring on the truck. In the morning he was exactly on time. He went right to work, assessed the situation carefully, didn't rush, but didn't delay either. We had a slightly unusual situation in that he had to move the water input to a reverse osmosis system to get the new faucet installed. The existing kitchen faucet was also rusted in place and he had to get a saw to cut through various pieces to get it out. The tub faucet was over 20 years old but he knew exactly what cartridge was needed. I also had them at my parents' house to look at a toilet and a faucet with water flow issues. He took a look and advised replacing the faucet if it got too bad for us to stand. The toilet had two issues; he quickly fixed the flapper, then gave some options on the section issue including "ignore it for now." I chose to ignore it, and I appreciated that
Redmond Plumbers Provider Name Locked
didn't try to push a fix when it wasn't necessary. The rate was not cheap but not outrageous either. Plumbers are expensive, period, but I felt like I got good service for my money. Overall: honest assessments, quick work, everything is working at not leaking at this moment. Seems good!

We have a leak in an upstairs bathtub that we are having trouble finding the source as well as two other smaller issues. We called
Redmond Plumbers Provider Name Locked
to come out for an estimate.
Redmond Plumbers Provider Name Locked
arrived right on time. We did a walk through of our issues. He did a very nice job of explaining what the source of our bathtub issue could be as well as an issue we had going on under our kitchen sink with a Insta Hot and water chiller. Our third issue was a drippy outside faucet which we thought we had to replace.
Redmond Plumbers Provider Name Locked
showed me how to clean out a little valve on it. It's worked great ever since.
We were quoted a price of $110 per half hour. We are still trying to locate our upstairs bathtub leak to save money instead of having a plumber trying to locate it at $110 per half hour, so I cannot review the quality of work.

We found working with
Redmond Plumbers Provider Name Locked
to be extremely easy. His estimate was almost spot on. We were definitely satisfied when he completed everything on our list, and we would use him again.

It turned out that the problem was that the GFI switch tripped so the pump didn't go on.
Redmond Plumbers Provider Name Locked
figured it out in about 5 minutes of troubleshooting and then verified that it fixed the problem over the next few minutes. I felt foolish for not trying that but I didn't have the knowledge to figure it out. He was apologetic that he would have to charge me for the trip and called in to ask for the $150 base fee to be discounted. I appreciate that they cut the cost in half. Great to get the issue fixed and they handled it in a professional and generous manner.

They quoted a fixed price for 2 hours of work. The ultimate job took about 2 hours and I was charged over twice the amount.

Redmond Plumbers Provider Name Locked
is a very nice man and was able to come out the day I called him to fix a faucet that had been dripping. I had received all the parts from
Redmond Plumbers Provider Name Locked
Redmond Plumbers Provider Name Locked
connected all the parts and I now have water in my kitchen.
He then adjusted the pressure reducing valve so that I now have water pressure. A previously botched job by
Redmond Plumbers Provider Name Locked
the Plumber who never checked on the pressure. I have been at 50% water pressure for years but
Redmond Plumbers Provider Name Locked
adjusted the valve in minutes and
I now have decent water pressure.
