Redmond Sprinkler Systems Reviews

"These guys are very customer service oriented and professional. Called and let us know that they were running half an hour late . After the installation was done my husband had a question on operating the system and the installation and they came out the next day at no charge to recheck their work (which was done correctly). Very pleased with this company's follow through and professionalism.
Used them again to winterize the sprinkler system just a few days ago.
"Not often can one say above and beyond. They were punctual, efficient, fixed broken heads, cleaned around each pop-up, replaced drain valve, improved spray pattern and got it done in less than half the time of the other highly rated service and fixed the other services mistakes. Receptionist is a little quirky but worth it to get these techs.
"They were prompt in their arrival and after some discussions with them about a problem area in the back we concluded that the best approach was to rework the new "gardens" and instead of 2 .. we would have 1 continuous garden from front to back. This would involve additional work and costs, but it really was the best solution for our issues and we agreed to the "change order" after talking with the 'project manager". They thatched and aerated the entire front and back yard (which was approximately 8,000 sq. ft.) Due to the poor condition of the yard there was a rather large number of complete bare spaces in the front and a smaller number in the back. Sand was applied as well as moss

While this was happening others in the crew were marking off the new garden area and removing the old grass. Topsoil was installed and the garden was made ready for the new plants. Within a couple of days all of the plant material appeared and with the help of the project manager the plants were placed in their respective locations and the planting process began. While some of the guys did the planting another was busy installing additional landscape stones around the new garden area .. which was another agreed upon change order. The final step was to "plant" the new lawn seed .. which was done. The whole process took about 3 or 4 days.
The crew was excellent in answering all of our questions. They also adjusted and reworked some of the existing sprinklers to provide adequate water coverage for our new yard. They also pruned our Katsura tree to better reflect it's appearance AND provide some additional sunlight to the garden area.
Our concern here is that after following the watering directions (twice a day rain or shine) from the project manager a majority of the seeded bare spots in both the front and back yards didn't "grow". We believe that this was due to the fact that the weather was hot and our yard gets lots of sun .. and in particular a lot of hot afternoon sun. The suggestion of continuing to water didn't work ( and I now have a $1200.00 water bill to pay) so I asked others in the landscaping business what we should have done. The answer was

...... add starter fertilizer, new seed and cover the bare spots with peat moss. I followed this advice and now the yard is in much better shape. While there are still a few locations that are "slow starters" it's a dramatic improvement from what was originally there. My concern is that a landscaping company should know that new lawn (or blatant bare spots) require a little TLC and not just the normal "reseeding".
Having said all of this, I would .. and most likely will ... invite them to come back and help out with existing garden areas so we can have some "

"I worked with
Redmond Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
Harper who was a very friendly guy and easy to work with. His price was good, right in line with a few other bids, but I chose him ultimately because we seemed to communiate well with each other and I got the sense he would make things right. I probably wouldn't have hired him had I read the one review posted on Angie's List, but good thing for him I didn't end up looking here first. To start with we ironed out a few things in the statement of work and contract, it was very complete and I felt comfortable I knew exactly what I was getting.

was agreeable to all the changes and that part went smoothly. They did a good job of flagging the site out and letting me know exactly what they were going to install where before starting, which was important to me. Also, while at the site and doing the work I got a phone call from
Redmond Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
explaining an issue he need to work around...kudos to him for being very communicative instead of just making some assumptions and moving forward. Once the install was completed there were a few trouble-spots where things weren't getting watered well. I told
Redmond Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
about these and 2 days later he had come back and fixed it which was a good experience. Three relatively small issues I did have using these guys: -
Redmond Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
could "go dark" for a few days easily where you wouldn't get any email communication from him and would have to email again to get a response. - There was a very clear expectation that he would replace the normal sprinkler heads on one side of my driveway that was lower with

(sealed) sprinkler heads to prevent the water from draining back through my system, but when he came out to make the adjustments he only replace a few of the heads with

heads and not all the ones we had agreed to...I didn't fight back on this one but was very disapppointed and wished I would have put it in an email rather than done it over the phone verbally. - They didn't do a great job of putting my site back together like they found it. They didn't compact the dirt into the holes they dug, didn't rake so the ground was "clumpy", and didn't replace the mulch in a lot of places in my beds which I ended up doing myself after they were done. I'd probably use these guys again but it's not a sure-thing at all. They were good but not great.
"We hired
Redmond Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
to do a sprinkler system tuneup. They arrived very promptly at the scheduled time, tested the system, adjusted several heads and added extensions to others that were blocked by vegetation. We will be hiring them again to install an extension to an existing sprinkler zone."
"We were really satisfied with the work they performed. They got the job done really quickly. The owner is easy to speak with. We would definitely recommend them."
"Went well. They were able to start and finish work in the same week. Patio built out nicely. The remarkable thing was that we had originally asked for a wood plank retaining wall and a natural stone wall around the patio (the retaining wall is really long), after they put the walls in we like the stone wall so much we asked if they could replace the wood wall with stone. They could and did for not too much extra ($1200, I think) and had it all switched out by the time I came home the next day; fast. Only issue we had with them was the subcontractor who put the lighting in couldn't manage a straight line (or we didn't specify I suppose), but that was taken care of, too."
"We contacted
Redmond Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
after seeing excellent work they had done for a friend. The crew was great - on time, professional, and easy to work with. They took great care with their work and came up with excellent solutions to a number of difficulties that came to light once we'd ripped our deck out. They had to re-route drains, cap sprinklers, adjust the design to add a second, stepped-down level, and work out how to build stairs that look perfectly even, even when the back of the house is not. They worked very hard to make sure everything was absolutely right - and it is.
We have major drainage issues in our back yard. One of the reasons I delayed this review so long is that I wanted to see - after all their assurances - if the patio would drain correctly, as promised. It's brilliant. They paid attention and solved the issue.
we've been enjoying the patio for almost a year, and we could not be any happier with the results. The patio is beautiful and functional, and I will have them out to do more work for us when I can work it into the budget.
They aren't cheap, but I felt that I got more than my money's worth, every step of the way.
"They worked tirelessly to find the source of the clogged sprinkler heads. Some of the clogs were persistent, and they needed to flush the lines several times to get rid of the rocks. They knew what they were doing, and got the job done quickly for a reasonable price. Would definitely use again.
"It always goes well with
Redmond Sprinkler Systems Provider Name Locked
. They know their stuff, they are cordial, punctual, and take the time to explain what they have done. we've used them for years for maintaining our irrigation systems in two different homes and will continue to do so. They installed our irrigation in a previous home and have helped improve a poorly designed system that was already in place in our current home. Highly recommend!
