Redmond Lawn Services Reviews

"We have had the monthly Premium Service for about seven months. Customer service is very reliable and prompt in responding to any needs or issues as they arise. We have also interacted directly with the onsite workers.

have all been courteous and professional. The work is performed very well and we have been very satisfied with the work performed. They will adjust to your preferences as requested. We would highly recommend to anyone needing professional and reliable service.
"Service was booked for 2:30 pm, arrived at about 2:45. Rang bell and announced they were done at 4:35. Guess we need to synchronize watches next time? I had booked two workers for two hours. One of them was clearly out of his element: I discovered him digging out a Japanese

plant, roots and all, thinking it was a dead weed? The next time I saw him going after a green plant, I ran outside and said "no, fine...just the brown dead stuff, please...." He also used a chainsaw to cut dead

leaves...hmm, that's a first. The supervisor,

"Punctual - on time - did everything for a relatively good price. Only disappointment was hedge trimmings were left in black plastic bags (about 8 of them) and according to Waste Management's web site - they won't accept yard waste in plastic bags - only paper yard bags or bundles. I guess over the next couple of months - I can slowly get rid of them through the trash service by unpacking them or sneaking them in the regular garbage - assuming I don't get annoyed enough by then to pay somebody else to pick them up for me.
" I used another landscaping firm previously, but after several attempts, wasn’t able to get them here to do the work and things were looking pretty wild. So I went to Angie’s list to find a replacement. I found
Redmond Lawn Services Provider Name Locked
on Angie’s list, and as they have very good ratings and reviews, contacted them. The owner
Redmond Lawn Services Provider Name Locked
, was out of town, so I left a voice mail explaining what I wanted to get done. He returned the call promptly. We discussed the job and approximate cost and I sent a photo of the project to give him a better idea of what the job entailed. He told me he would be out of town for several more weeks, but would have his crew come out to do the work. Normally, I prefer to have the contractor come and look things over before committing, but I was anxious to get things done, so agreed to give him the work.

Compared to what I paid previously for the same work, I think they are a bit pricy, but wanted to get the work done before the plants took over completely, and ultimately I am satisfied with the work.

The crew,

them at all. Several times they checked with me to make sure the work was meeting my expectations. They finished around 2:00, with a short lunch break. They cleaned up as the work progressed. The yard looks more civilized now and I appreciate a good job well done. thank you
"We traded a couple of emails getting the time right, and then talked over the phone to discuss what I needed done. The two men that came knew exactly what I needed and suggested a couple of other things which was good. They did a great job. They actually showed up a bit early so It did not take a big chunk of the day. They came on a Saturday so anyone that needs Saturday appointments should definitely use this service. I would recommend them to anyone.
"Everything went very well. The excavator was dropped off on the weekend to be available on the day of the project. Initially,

said that he thought he would to the work but he had

do it instead.
The team took a lot of care not to drive the excavator on the asphalt to avoid damaging the road.

started by removing the trees. Yanking fairly large alders out of the ground was entertaining to watch. One larger one was right at the capacity of the machine but he took his time and worked it down.

is tricky because, being very soft wood, it can break and sheer off with some

The trees took the majority of the time on the project because
Redmond Lawn Services Provider Name Locked
was very methodical and didn't rush things. The slash pile he created was very dense and well structured to not occupy more area than necessary. It took me three weeks to cut, split, and stack the wood and I appreciated doing minimal chainsaw work down in the dirt.
After the trees were removed he graded the land and then used the head of the excavator to form a very smooth gradient. I am impressed by how smooth and well contoured the yard is now.
"I used Angie's List to find new maintenance and initial cleanup because my old provider stopped showing up. The old company kept billing me,but they wouldn't show up unless I called and then only once. I had to canceland my yard was a huge mess by the time I cancelled.
Redmond Lawn Services Provider Name Locked
came out and gave me an estimate after reviewing the current state of my lawn (front and back). They offered solutions and gave me a quote.
They did everything that they said that they would do, and even called to ensure I was satisfied before the final billing.
I was very satisfied with their professionalism and the work that was done. They continue to do on-going maintenance for me.
FYI -- l don't recall the actual dates... date above is approximate.
"The 3 man crew was very courteous, professional, efficient, on time, in and out in 4 hours. Per their recommendation the height was reduced by approximately 8 feet. They were very careful about surrounding landscaping and cleaned up every last leaf. Would definitely recommend them - in fact they are doing a wind sale, reshaping, and cleanup of a large tree next week.
"They were prompt in their arrival and after some discussions with them about a problem area in the back we concluded that the best approach was to rework the new "gardens" and instead of 2 .. we would have 1 continuous garden from front to back. This would involve additional work and costs, but it really was the best solution for our issues and we agreed to the "change order" after talking with the 'project manager". They thatched and aerated the entire front and back yard (which was approximately 8,000 sq. ft.) Due to the poor condition of the yard there was a rather large number of complete bare spaces in the front and a smaller number in the back. Sand was applied as well as moss

While this was happening others in the crew were marking off the new garden area and removing the old grass. Topsoil was installed and the garden was made ready for the new plants. Within a couple of days all of the plant material appeared and with the help of the project manager the plants were placed in their respective locations and the planting process began. While some of the guys did the planting another was busy installing additional landscape stones around the new garden area .. which was another agreed upon change order. The final step was to "plant" the new lawn seed .. which was done. The whole process took about 3 or 4 days.
The crew was excellent in answering all of our questions. They also adjusted and reworked some of the existing sprinklers to provide adequate water coverage for our new yard. They also pruned our Katsura tree to better reflect it's appearance AND provide some additional sunlight to the garden area.
Our concern here is that after following the watering directions (twice a day rain or shine) from the project manager a majority of the seeded bare spots in both the front and back yards didn't "grow". We believe that this was due to the fact that the weather was hot and our yard gets lots of sun .. and in particular a lot of hot afternoon sun. The suggestion of continuing to water didn't work ( and I now have a $1200.00 water bill to pay) so I asked others in the landscaping business what we should have done. The answer was
Redmond Lawn Services Provider Name Locked
...... add starter fertilizer, new seed and cover the bare spots with peat moss. I followed this advice and now the yard is in much better shape. While there are still a few locations that are "slow starters" it's a dramatic improvement from what was originally there. My concern is that a landscaping company should know that new lawn (or blatant bare spots) require a little TLC and not just the normal "reseeding".
Having said all of this, I would .. and most likely will ... invite them to come back and help out with existing garden areas so we can have some "

"I found this company to be one of the best firms that I have ever worked
with in terms of their responsiveness, professional quality, price,
follow-up and dedication to the end result. They are a great addition to Angie's List.
I have historically maintained my own lawn doing the thatching, aeration, and seeding . I recently had back surgery and am learning to delegate tasks
to others. I could not have made a better choice in selecting Golden
Redmond Lawn Services Provider Name Locked
Lawn Renovation. When I called, the owner was here within a
day. We went through the variety of options and prices. One of the
advantages of GRLR is that they have a "cafeteria menu" of pricing of
their services. If one wanted to have them do the thatching and
aeration but then rake and dispose of the yard material they can
accommodate you. In my case, I wanted to have them do the entire full
range of services. I then asked that they put some additional soil in the back yard so that a new lawn could be created.
They showed up exactly when they said they
were going to do so. It is not a one person operation so that they can put on a crew appropriate to the job at hand.
They have new equipment and it is obvious that the
entire team takes pride in their work. They have also a "slit seed"
spreader which places the seen in a slit about 1/2' within the ground. This
provided a higher germination rate that my own use of the surface
spreader since it is more moist and the birds are not attracted to it. I did this in August (with this summer, not the best
choice). The vast majority of seed worked great.
As mentioned, I elected to have some soil placed in the back. They used an excellent source of compost as opposed to the standard soil.
The seeding, (surface), did not completely take due to my overwatering and some erosion of the seed bed. GRLR was proactive and came back twice to ensure that the quality of the job was as they had said it was going to be. It has turned out to be a beautiful lawn and I am delighted with the end product.
In looking at the final price I found that my cost of renting all of the equipment used would be not too different from the price paid to GRLR. I found the price to be an exceedingly great value. And to be truthful, the quality of the end result exceeded by far what I could have accomplished.
