Tires not only transfer the engine’s horsepower directly to the road, their grip ensures your car handles, turns and brakes safely. Overlooking tire maintenance can lead to poor fuel economy, poor handling and possibly hazardous driving conditions.

Auto Tires

Have you ever found yourself on the side of the road with a flat tire? If so, did you know how to change it?

Auto mechanics and tire dealers say many people no longer take the time to learn how to change their own tires.

They, instead, rely on AAA or another roadside assistance services to bail them out, sometimes even if they have a spare tire in the trunk.

I had been going to
Port Angeles Tire Shops Provider Name Locked
(Mr. Tire) in Canandaigua for years to have tires mounted, wheels balanced ,etc., and never had a problem. So I decided to have them change the spark plugs in my Nissan Pathfinder when the engine started feeling sluggish. Big mistake.....immediately after the new plugs were installed the engine started hesitating and missing to the point where the entire vehicle would shake when idling. I was having no problems like that before having the plugs changed , so I knew it had something to do with the plug installation. I brought the vehicle back to
Port Angeles Tire Shops Provider Name Locked
and set up an appointment for them to have a look at it the next day. I took it in, they "looked" at it, and gave me some story about a loose hose they found and re-connected. The problem was...it was still idling just as bad as when I brought it in. I popped the hood and even showed the guy who worked on it how rough the idle was. He was short with me, and rude. He became very defensive and asked me if I thought that the
Port Angeles Tire Shops Provider Name Locked
technician did something on purpose to cause the problem. I explained that I wasn't accusing anyone of doing anything like that on purpose.....but reiterated that I was sure it had something to do with the plug installation, because the problem wasn't occurring before. He then said he would look at it again, but he would have to charge me for troubleshooting time. I had just paid almost $160 to have 6 spark plugs installed, and I wasn't going to pay them to troubleshoot a problem caused by their own installation work. I suspected that one of the new plugs was bad and asked him if he would just install the old plugs to prove the point. Again, he said he would have to charge me. I was shocked....I couldn't believe he wouldn't even put the old plugs back in without charging me. So he turns away and walks back into the shop, leaving me there with my vehicle shaking at idle. He lost a good customer that day.
A few days later I took the vehicle to another repair shop to have the old plugs put back in, and they pulled the new number 6 plug out and handed it to me. It looked like it had been run over by a semi. The inner metal core of the plug was bent and twisted and the ceramic was in pieces. I was lucky that some of the ceramic pieces didn't fall back into the cylinder head and cause major engine damage when the new plug was put in. It was apparent that the
Port Angeles Tire Shops Provider Name Locked
tech had extensively damaged the plug during installation.
Needless to say, I'm very disappointed. It seems they never even looked at the plugs when I brought the vehicle back in.
Port Angeles Tire Shops Provider Name Locked
was a complete waste of time and money on this job, and they obviously care a lot more about the almighty dollar than they do about doing a good job for their customers.

The Saturday before the work was performed I took my car in because one of my tires had a slow leak. I had to wait over two hours to find out that it was not repairable. They did not have a replacement. They would get a new one by Monday. I specifically asked if I could get an appointment and was told I would not need it. Monday I was ill and couldn't go in. On the 19th a friend took it in for me after I called
Port Angeles Tire Shops Provider Name Locked
to make sure they still had it. My friend was so angry when he got back after another two hour wait. The LADY who he dealt with was very rude and was not going to give him the keys because he was not me even though he was the one who brought it in. Tire price was higher than other local tire dealers. I wish I would have done some research before going there.
- Sheila R.

It went very well. Great customer service and price. Definitely going here for my next set of tires. Extra bonus was a VISA gift card making my cost $140 lower. Unbeatable.
- barry S.

When you walk in the personnel behind the desk are very friendly. There always seems to be a line with many people seeking service. They are attentive and professional with each customer. They answer questions and provide suggestions.
Port Angeles Tire Shops Provider Name Locked
has done work several times for both my private vehicle and my work vehicle. I never feel like I have been tricked or ripped off the work that they perform last for the duration. They also never try to up-sale a service or product. I consider
Port Angeles Tire Shops Provider Name Locked
Port Angeles Tire Shops Provider Name Locked
to be a reliable, professional, and friendly business to have my vehicles repaired.

Their service is terrible, and oil change is like 3 hours, it's crazy, I wish i'd never went to. Their wait time for a
Port Angeles Tire Shops Provider Name Locked
oil change is like 3 hours. I've made a mistake of taking my tires there, for
Port Angeles Tire Shops Provider Name Locked
repair is like 2 to 3 hours, it's just ridiculously long. The price for the oil change I thought it was okay, but their tires are very expensive. I don't think I'd go back there because I thought their prices for tires were ridiculously high, their service is just way too long for a
Port Angeles Tire Shops Provider Name Locked
stuff. I just had a terrible experience with them.
- Michael G.

Received a coupon from Welcomemat Services Inc when I moved to Lebanon "The Friendly Town" as a special gift to my household for a free oil change. Coupon offer expires on 06/25/15. I called and asked them if they would honor the coupon since I did not need a oil change in June. She said NO. I said ok, I guess I will have to take my business elsewhere. Just found that to be very unprofessional as they would have earned my business in the future. What a way to welcome someone as a business in "The Friendly Town"
