Lakewood Interior Painters Reviews

"We took advantage of the "2 painters for 8 hrs at half price" offer. We got what we paid for, no more. I would not hire them for full price.
The scope of the work was: Paint a 2-story stairway (2 tall walls only), remove the wallpaper from 1 regular wall (same stairway), and get that wall ready for us to paint ourselves.
They showed up a little late. The 2 painters were very likable on a personal basis. On a professional level, average minus. One painter tackled the 2 tall walls and it went pretty well, even though it took her 8 hours to do so. If I had a tall ladder (I don't, that why we hired "professionals"), I could have done it myself in less time. The other painter took all day to remove wallpaper from one wall. The deal was that this wall would be prepped for us to repaint it ourselves. Since it took all day to remove the wallpaper, they did not have time to prep it (texture it). When we questioned

owner) about that, he told us that he did not even have the equipment to texture the wall and that he would have to find somebody to do it for us (at extra cost). Question: why did he tell us that he would get the wall ready for us to paint when he didn't have the equipment to texture ???? He should have told us that before even starting the job, because that meant he wasn't able to complete it anyway and we wouldn't even have commissioned him to remove the wallpaper in the first place. We ended up having to hire someone else to texture.
We wrote an email to

, outlining what was't done at all or not very well, and he started arguing with us back and forth per email, until we finally gave up. We feel that a true professional shouldn't argue about his below-average work, but should do everything in his power to satisfy the customer.
"It went very well. After looking over the house, he submitted a written estimate. When we accepted we gave him a deposit. He showed up exactly when scheduled, worked every day, weather permitting, until it was done. He works very quickly and efficiently as he has been doing this for many years. He started by power washing the house (old and not painted for many years), waited almost a week for it to dry completely. Then he spent a couple of days scraping, filling, caulking, taping, and otherwise prepping the house. He had recommended a very good quality paint and he ordered and brought the paint choices that I had made. With both the primer and the final colors, he first sprayed then brushed it in, then sprayed a last time. His work was meticulous, including the area surrounding the house, and when done he made sure we understood that if we had any problems we were to call. This was also in the agreement we signed with him. "
"They are fantastic. They bailed me out of a serious problem. I was pressed for time trying to prepare a condominium for new occupants and he finished a large job, painting the entire interior of this place in three days, finishing ahead of schedule and doing the job at half the price of another company I talked to. He has a great attitude he has a real can-do approach to the work he does. And the work was neat and professional."
