Carpet Installation Reviews in Kirkland

Communication around the type of carpet, nature of the work, and cost were all very clear. The crew was fast, competent, and helpful with moving large furniture out of the way. All in all, very cooperative. I rated professionalism "B" only because one piece of aluminum trim was hammered in poorly, denting it. They will be coming back to do the last several rooms and I am confident they'll cheerfully replace that piece. So all in all, I don't think you can do better in terms of price, quality of carpet, and skill of installation.

In the end, I took the specs for the materials we selected and went to other vendors to compare. Apples to apples, Empire was nearly 50% MORE than their competitors with the same products, NOT 50% less as indicated by their sale. With two other vendors, when we chose better quality carpet and luxury vinyl tile over the laminate plank that Empire was showing us, we were still more than 40% less than Empire's "sale" price including tax and install. ($4500 all-in vs. $8500 with Empire This is after we haggled with the Empire estimator for every possible discount (multiple product, weekday install, etc.)
All this says to me is that you should be very very skeptical of Empire's pricing.
Had I signed on the dotted line then and there, I would also be subject to whatever install team they sent out where with other vendors, I was working directly with the person who would be installing it. These vendors knew far more about the intricacies of the install and knew what to look for with my particular floor to recommend the best possible product to fit our needs and produce a successful install.

Carpet Installation reviews in Kirkland

Having recently completed a major 5-month long remodel, I can attest that working with
Kirkland Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
was the least stressful part of the job. They made selecting carpet and scheduling install so easy! I learned so much about how carpet is made and wears over time that it really helped me to select the right product for our family and lifestyle. The carpet was expertly installed and on time. It is so soft - I make guests take off their shoes and walk up the stairs just to experience it when they come over. Everyone agrees it is the softest carpet they have ever felt. I would go back to
Kirkland Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
in a heartbeat and I can now understand why my parents (who were rental property owners for decades) were also loyal customers.

We worked with the manager
Kirkland Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
and had an excellent experience.
Kirkland Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
spent ample time getting to know our needs and equally patient in guiding us towards our final choice.
Kirkland Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
was also flexible in scheduling the order of the carpet and satisfying our request to postpone the installation a few weeks after the order was received in their warehouse.
Kirkland Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
provided two installers who were highly skilled, energetic, and demonstrated a high degree of quality in their work.

Terrible. Job was to start first week in Sept. Crew did not show so they pulled off 2 workers to prep floor. The baseboards were not removed nor the wooden heat vent covers resulting in sealed vents and build up of Swedish finish on baseboards. There was some pooling of finish especially near the door jams. The

was also wrong, semi instead of

. The damaged board were also not replaced. Second redo, same as first, still no removal of baseboards and the finish did not cure, maybe did not wait long enough between coats has been suggested. The pooling was still evident. The third time, they finally removed baseboards and used correct

,but did not unstick the heat vents and redo them. This third finish appeared as if they had only put one coat on, even though there had according to them put three on. Since this was an insurance claim, the insurance company sent out an independent neutral third party to a**** the job. Summarizing, the baseboards and vents should have been removed before applying the Swedish Finish, did not wait long enough between the coats which probably caused the issues on the second try. The company does not seem to have good communication between the crew and the company. There was little face to face contact with me the client. In the end the company did not want to correct all of the items that the independent person suggested, so thank goodness I have a good insurance company that is watching out for my interests. The insurance company is going to try to get their expense from the company.
The job should have taken only 3-4 days, but here it is January 2014 and I am back to square one, trying to find a competent floor company. I have been living out of packed boxes since my partial move back before I noticed all the flaws. My insurance company will pay for the redo, but what would have happened if it had not been an insurance claim?

The product quality was good, but the service was overall very bad. The company representative did not show up to an initial appointment at all (forgot about it), showed up 20min late to a second appointment (had address written down wrong) and the actual installer showed up 1.5 hours late (material not ready). I would have switched to another company after the second appointment, but really had to wrap it up.
The installation itself was good, but that was performed by a sub contractor. Very disappointing experience, as I chose this company based on the great other reviews here.

Overall the quality of work was good, with one exception. Empire did our whole house in 2 days. The only problem we had was the tile that was put down in front of the fireplace. The person they used to not seem to know what he was doing. When he finished, we had a metal border sticking up a quarter of an inch. He had used the wrong

piece and had tried to fill it in with mortar. I called the manager and complained. They came out the very next day and Took the new floor out and read it. But unfortunately they used the same person they had before. They have been out twice to fix the problem with the tile. What they need to do is start over and use the proper metal border to begin with and then there won't be a problem. They were out 2 weeks ago to look at the floor tile again, we have not heard back from them, we seemed to have gotten lost in the shuffle.

I will give them an A on quality because I don't remember any issues. We had some scheduling issues because they didn't get back to me. I needed to delay the project because I couldn't make it up to my mother's house and the technician didn't get my message so he ended up waiting for me when I wasn't going to be there. I am not sure if I would use them again; I would consider it.

I got bids from about 8 different carpet companies.
Kirkland Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
was one of the least expensive, and was very flexible in meeting prices. I felt good knowing not only was it a family owned business, but I was dealing with the owner (
Kirkland Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
). They are a bit out of the way on
Kirkland Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
near Shoreline, but worth it. I was originally looking for a dense Nylon carpet, but after testing a sample of the Mohawk SmartStrand I was interested in that because of its incredible stain resistance. I decided on my own to go with SmartStrand, and
Kirkland Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
helped me find an exact carpet and pattern that fit my budget. Their installer came out free of charge to estimate it, and was helpful in figuring out a good layout. I had to wait a few weeks until I could install it, although
Kirkland Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
said it could be ready in as little as a week. A different set of guys came out to do the install. They did an excellent job at the seams, and also spliced in a patch for a big stain on another area of the house with the same old carpet.
I like the SmartStrand although it seems to show footprints more than the dense nylon I was originally looking at, but no worse than probably any other. I got a sample from Carpet Liquidators and put everything in my kitchen and laudry on it including bleach, vinegar, food coloring, pens, even a permanent marker. The only thing that didn't come out completely was the permanent marker. Everything including the bleach came out! Amazing.

This is my second experience with

met me at the appointed time to do a walk-through, bringing some carpet and flooring samples with him based on my description of the hardwood flooring. I was able to select the carpet and flooring from the samples he brought, and a few days later he e-mailed me an estimate. I was literally replacing the entire kitchen, and upon completion of that work I felt my initial selection of flooring was not going to look that good. Living near the new

Store in Bothell, I picked up the sample of the other flooring he thought might go well, and it turned out to be perfect. Because of delays in completing other interior work I put the job off several times, but never once did

I did not get quotes from any other flooring firms. I don't think I can give any better recommendation than this.
