will often go above and beyond to make it right. He removed the roof on a shed attached to the house and replaced it. The side door was an interior door that was disintegrated and he replaced that as well with an exterior door before painting it. We also had a bird problem and he added bird blocks so they would not keep damaging the paint and windows. The whole neighborhood is ecstatic that the house is no longer blue tarp blue and all of their house values have gone up, which is a very hard color to cover up with a light sand color.

"Responsiveness and punctuality were spot on. No delays in getting back with me and they showed up when they said they would.
After they were done I found some areas that were not painted at all and also found areas that needed touch up. Also the soffit came out like s*** the first time around.
After calling out the issues they came back and repainted the soffit which came out much better. I found additional touch ups required after the soffit was repainted which they corrected.
All in all they did a good job but I was a little dissapointed that I had to call out the missed/touch up areas. I would have expected the painting crew to do a once-over before calling the job complete.

came out and gave me a bid and we agreed but we wanted to buy our own paint.
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
agreed to that and would minus the cost of the paint from the bid. He first powered washed the house and it wasn't a good job. I walked around the house and still saw green moss on the eves and loose paint in areas. I pointed this out to
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
when he came back to paint and he said that when they get to the area they would sand it. He came back another day to do the caulking. When I looked at the house I saw several areas he missed caulking and had to ask him to fix it. I wanted 2 coats of paint instead of 1 primer and 1 paint, which he agreed to. When they were finished
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
told me to check to see if everything was done and if I saw anything to let him know. There were several things not finished. When I showed
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
he said no problem he would fix them. I marked the areas with lime green painters tape because there were so many. Examples (could see the old color of paint in areas, trim work under the eves not painted, cracks not caulked, painted my screen door 3/4 the way which I didn't want painted.) We bought our own paint and
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
deducted that from the bill. The final bill was only $164.00 less than the original bill because he kept saying things were going to be extra costs and the only extra cost should have been painting the underside of the deck. He added the front door and the upper trim because for the second coat I wanted him to use a shade darker paint (which I bought). I don't think either of these should be extra. I paid for 2 coats of paint and feel that he didn't paint 2 coats everywhere because we can see the old color of paint through the new paint in areas. This was the second house
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
has painted for us. The 1st one was about a year ago and he did a good job. He seemed very busy this year and didn't do a good job. I think his final bill was to high ($4,654.00) and we provided the paint. It's a week later and I'm still finding areas he missed! It's very frustrating when we paid that much money and we have to do the touch ups!

"C&C was a subcontractor for Side-Pro and came out to paint the house after new

Planks were installed as siding.
Unfortunately, it kept raining and it was postponed twice. But once the weather became good, Grant Derby and his assistant,
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
, were quick to paint my 2-story house and finish the trim in less than two days. They were very professional and courteous.

"I had started painting the interior of our house by myself, but the vaulted ceilings--especially above the stairway are a problem. There is a beam that runs the center of the ceiling that isn't painted (and shouldn't be painted) and reaching it with ladders is difficult. I called
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
and
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
called back the same day. He came the next morning and looked at the areas we were painting. I asked specifically for bids that covered different areas, but mainly I was concerned about the stairway ceiling.
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
gave a bid of $850 for the ceiling and walls in that area. I calculated the cost of me falling from a ladder and the pain factor. His bid sounded more than fair.
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
also gave me bids for completing the unfinished painting that we had in the living and dining areas. All bids were in writing via email within a day of our meeting.

I felt that I could do everything myself except for the stairway and accepted that bid. When
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
and his wife were here, we decided to have them do all of the vaulted ceilings (because they're such a pain in the neck). We supplied the paint and they were able to complete all the work in an 8 hour day. The extra ceiling work only cost $150. It was worth having them do the ceilings. They were very careful in covering anything that might get dripped on. The painted areas looked great.

I had purchased the paint myself but needed more.
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
called the paint in on his account and I was able to save about $9.00 per
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
on the extra paint. I asked
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
what it would cost to paint the outside of my house and he gave a price that was about $3000 less than another bid I have had.

I would definitely use
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
again.

is a very good communicator - during the estimate he took the time (in the rain) to explain in detail everything that he would do as he toured the exterior of the house. He was prompt in getting an estimate (the next day), and because of a cancellation was able to start work later the same week.

Painting in the fall offers some weather challenges, but
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
and his crew were up to it. When the custom trim color was not what we had envisioned, he quickly recognized this and got it addressed. Start to finish (including several rainy non-work days), the job took just over a week. It turned out great and everyone who has seen it has said so. I vetted
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
pretty severely (just my nature) and the five or so references I talked to all had very good things to say, and I looked at several houses he had painted and they all held up well.

"The work was done in a timely way and wasn't too intrusive on our life. The job was very well done, and we are proud of how our home looks now. Overall, the work on our exterior paint job was completed exactly as promised, and was very thorough. I plan to hire
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
again to complete interior work in our home. I would not hesitate to recommend
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
. They deserve their A-rating on Angie's List.

did an excellent job of pressure washing our house a couple of days prior to painting. He and his crew painted the exterior of our house and the backyard shed to match over the course of three days. We had decided to keep our house and trim the same color so he took samples to order the paint and the match was perfect! He and his crew are very nice people and very easy to work with. They even went the extra mile to do a repair on the wood under our front living room window prior to painting as well as doing double coats on everything. They were very neat with their equipment and were careful to do minimal damage to bushes and plants near the house. We are very pleased with their work and would definitely consider using their company in the future for other painting needs."

"Right out of the gate,
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
had missed our first appointment, and then called me several days later with no explanation. I'll forgive once, so we did get together, he looked over the work to be done, but was candid with me that he had not done a roof repair of this type (hot tar roof). He had what seemed like a good grasp of the repair, however, and was willing to tackle it. I told him he could build in a 10% contingency on the bid, in case we ran into surprises on the roof. At this point, I still had the feeling that this man would do a good job. We threw some numbers around verbally, and he was to supply me with a written estimate "within a couple of days". Emails arrived saying he was busy and would have it to me "the next day." A week later, I had not heard from him, and I got another contractor to look at the job. I then received an email (after over ten days) with some numbers which were considerably more competitive than the second contractor I had look at the job. They still weren't in the form of a document that I would consider a bid, but they were in writing. I liked the numbers, and I contacted him to come over the next day (a Saturday) to finalize, because I had decided not to stain the deck as part of the job, but replace the planks myself after the painting was done. He said he wanted another look at the roof. It was another no-show, but he did phone late that day to say that there had been a family picnic "that he had forgotten about", and that he wanted to reschedule for the next day. That day came and went with no
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
, and no phone call. At that point, I was planning to cancel any further dealings anyway, because if you can't get a contractor to even START a job, how will you get them to ever FINISH it?

"Got
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
's bid in late March.
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
was very affable. He likes to tell stories and put people at ease. He agrees to almost everything but there are always "buts." He claims to have a family that does the painting but I only saw
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
and one other guy. My wife and I liked the guy. We signed the contract and were ready to go in mid April. Of course this spring (2008) was a little cool and rainy. But there were days of good painting temperatures and sunshine. These sunny days were usually to be found on the weekends but
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
was not. He did not show and did not show as the days slowly turned into weeks and then months. We called a lot. There was one excuse after another. There was always something with the weather forecast. Finally "the other" came out and did a very sloppy pressure wash of half the back deck and the front walkway and covered the trash cans in debris as well as the driveway. This highly torqued my wife and she wanted NW Painting gone. When
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
made a guest appearance a week later I told him I was not at all happy. He tried to tell me that he had only promised to do a strip around the house. That was not what I had written down and so he promised to make it up to us by doing the full deck and driveway. Then he was gone for a couple of more weeks. By this time we are in the first week of June. Still not really warm but getting better weather wise. Then we have a few days of sunny weather and no
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
. After a few calls he shows and starts masking the windows. My wife once again told
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
that he was not to tape everything up and disappear for another week as she has claustrophobia and needs to see out.
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
assured us that this would not be the case and promptly disappeared for another two weeks leaving the windows covered.
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
shows the final week of June to do the painting. He and "the other" show between 8:30 and 9 AM and call it a day by 2 PM. The day he started was cool and cloudy just like all the others he couldn't come out on. He promised to prime the plain wood with two coats of white and they looked like they barely had one. While we were "Waiting for
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
" we put on a new roof and the new wood cost us an extra $500 to be primed.
Federal Way Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
bought the paint which we were to pay for but he would not show us the receipt and that cost another $500+. He put most of the trash in our trash and recycling bins but we only saw 3 paint cans (not the 15 we paid for). Nice guy in the beginning, promises things that he doesn't remember to do, takes short cuts, does the minimum to get by, and inflates the cost. Not someone I will ever do business with again.
