On 9/19/14, I called
Randolph Electricians Provider Name Locked
because the electricity to my dishwasher and the light over my kitchen sink wasn't working. I'd reset the breaker several times, and it had apparently given up the ghost.
Randolph Electricians Provider Name Locked
requested that I postpone the visit until the following day, which I did. When he arrived, he checked the breaker, but then refused to do the work because my kitchen was too messy. So, he left me high and dry on a Saturday and now I'm stuck not being able to use my dishwasher until at least Monday. Yes, my kitchen is messy. I run a home-based business that is a "Dirty Job" type of business, but it is honorable, I am proud of it, and my customers love me.
My kitchen was particularly messy BECAUSE MY DISHWASHER WASN'T WORKING, which is why I called
Randolph Electricians Provider Name Locked
. I offered to clean up and move the dirty dishes, but he just walked out anyway.
Before I booked him, I read his Angie's List reviews and I relied on the fact that his page says that he is an accredited BBB member. It turns out HE'S LYING ABOUT BEING AN ACCREDITED BBB MEMBER. He is not. In fact, he had a complaint filed against him. It looks like he's never been an accredited member of the BBB. Therefore, he should be removed from searches on Angie's List, IMO, because not getting my dishwasher running has made even more work for me.
I am a single mom struggling to make a living. I work seven days a week and I'm often up until the wee hours of the morning working. My house is in an uproar for good reason. He had a weird attitude, too. I asked if he was the owner of Medic Alert, and his response was, "Why?" How strange is that?
The last thing I needed today was a prissy weirdo with a judgemental attitude.

After contacting Bravo Electrical
Randolph Electricians Provider Name Locked
asked me to send a photo via text message of my fuse box so that he had exactly what was needed to complete the job in a timely manner. He sent me a text message to let me know what time he would be arriving and was on time and had the parts needed. The job went smoothly and was completed professionally.

Randolph Electricians Provider Name Locked
came on a Saturday to provide the quote and was able to schedule the work for the next Saturday. During the first visit, he was helpful in explaining the workings of our new electrical system.

and his employee got to work promptly when they arrived. He provided the receptacles for the rooftop and the outdoor connections. The job was completed within 2 hours. Their work appeared neat.

I spoke to
Randolph Electricians Provider Name Locked
who was really nice and he asked me to email him what I was looking to have done. I asked him If I should pick up the timers myself and he said it would save some money but he would be happy to pick them up. When I stated I wanted to save some money, he told me exactly what parts I needed.
We made an appointment for 7:30 this morning and at 7:30 this morning the electrician showed up. He was friendly and got right to work. He installed all the switches and gave me some information on a few other electrical projects I planned on doing. He cleaned up after himself and was on his way.
First of all, an electrician that works on a Saturday!! For those of us that work Monday through Friday this is a dream come true. No more having to take off a day of work if an electrical problem raised.
Randolph Electricians Provider Name Locked
, was professional, friendly, prompt and efficient and I would not hesitate to use them again. As I matter of face, we are already planning on installing outdoor step lights.

Randolph Electricians Provider Name Locked

The office was fine to work with and accommodated my schedule just fine. However, I did have to cancel my original appointment and when I called back to reschedule, I was told because of City of Columbus regulations they could no longer do electrical wiring and were changing the deal to 3 hours of handy man services. This was OK since I was using the deal for outlet and switch replacement only. The handy man called before arriving and did arrive within the scheduled 2 hour window. I had the counters cleared, switchplates removed and the screws removed from the old fixtures before he arrived. He did OK in replacing the basic outlets and a switch, but was critical about the way backsplash was installed and said that whoever did should have done things differently with the outlets, etc. I had 3 GFI outlets to be replaced. He couldn't get any of the new GFI outlets to work. He reinstalled the old GFI outlets. He told me he attached the wires in the same positions as the old outlets and they should work and that I must have bought cheap outlets. He said if I went and bought "good" outlets like the ones I wanted replaced he would come back on Monday and put them in at "no charge." By that time the red flags were going up all over the place. I signed that the work was done and wrote he did a good job like he asked, which I should not have done. He cleaned up his tools but did not clean up the debris on my counters. Long story short, he didn't even look at the instructions or notice that the line/load connections on the new GFIs were opposite of the old. They new ones didn't work because the wires were not connected correctly. I ended up installing them myself that night - they work just fine. Not happy.

I was initially interested in having my interior electrical panel replaced and relocated. I did not understand that the Deal was for the outside panel replacement. However the installer took the old one apart it was 40 years old and it was entirely rusted out & full of insects and trash & grass. He also evaluated my interior panel & found it to be in acceptable condition but said the work could be done for approximately the same price. I took some time to think about it, then the project fell through the cracks. My panel is physically attached to the wall of my next door neighbors condo & the fence gate was locked for months. Finally a year later
Randolph Electricians Provider Name Locked
called me to schedule the work for the same deal price. The work was completed in one day and has been an absolute success. No power outages since.

Randolph Electricians Provider Name Locked
provided service 48 hours after request. The owner,
Randolph Electricians Provider Name Locked
showed up with 2 electricians, reviewed the work requested and gave his crew specific instructions. The electricians spent 4 hours installing a

, conduit enclosed circuit. The work was exceptionally professional. I would recommend this company to any neighbors needing electrical work. This was not cheap but I firmly believe that I received total value for my dollars, I'm very impressed!

Along the way, they took weeks to followup for appointments, failed 1st round of city's permit inspections, cut ground rods shorter than inspectors wanted, tried to convince homeowner that as long as the city inspector didn't spot a non-code compliant branch circuit they'd be OK (even though bid for services included decommissioning of that branch circuit). Onsite staff appeared overbooked, and seemed stressed/rushed. Job took more than twice as long as originally promised (with no scope changes during work). Initial bid included just a 150A main service panel, while 200A is the size often cited by real estate agents as being “OK” nowadays...they ended up installing a 200A panel anyway, as it was cheaper than the 150A. Overall workmanship was...ok.
Staff was all very courteous, choice of materials seemed reasonable, but the overall experience was not as positive as I had hoped.
