"Dr.
examined my eyes and determined that I had cataracts, and implied that I was ready for surgery, but that it was up to me whether or not I wanted surgery." This left me wondering if my change in eyeglass prescription was due to normal aging, or to cataracts. Dr.
was very arrogant, and seemed offended when my wife and I asked questions. Because of his arrogant manner, I decided to see a different eye doctor this year, who verified that my cataracts were very mild, and that I would not need surgery for a long time. My opinion of Dr.
is that he is deliberately evasive and by his attitude is pushing eye surgery.

"He kept telling me everything was okay after each operation. He stated he couldn't do anything else for me and I needed to get a
transplant. He didn't" tell me that until I let him know I could no longer pay for surgeries. I have now lost my eye. I asked for medical records and they gave me his office notes as well. He wrote that I was a complainer and to ignore my calls. Bad experience all around. He has no concern for his patients and it's all about money with him.

"Dr.
may be a competent eye surgeon but his communication style borders on arrogance and a disregard for his clients/patients. Some of the staff, particularly" the front desk, are very professional but others reflect same attitude that Dr.
demonstrates.

Quite literally meaning "the science of the eyes." ophthalmology studies the way the eye works. Ophthalmologists care for this incredibly complex and delicate part of the body and the factors that affect its health.

A growing number of people are buying prescription glasses online. Some advice — and cautions —if you plan to browse frames and lenses sans the store.

Absolutely you have rights to your own medical records. You may have to put it in writing and go through the offices records department. Call and ask to speak with the records department and ask their protocol.

Dr.
Middlebury Ophthalmologists Provider Name Locked
performed the surgery. My vision is now 20/20. He is very good about explaining all the details of the procedure and what the outcome might be. The office staff are friendly and the whole office is very customer service oriented. We have rarely had to wait more than five minutes to get into the exam room, and no more than five to see the doctor. He always takes all the time you need to have questions answered.

We were both (my wife and I) very pleased with all aspects of the visit. My wife got contacts and I got regular glasses which have been totally satisfactory. We will use them again!

I have been a patient of Dr.
Middlebury Ophthalmologists Provider Name Locked
for over 32 years. At my last visit (August 2013) I saw a dramatic decline in the area of treatment of the patient. My appointment was at 10:30 am and I arrived on time. I had waited for nearly 20 minutes before I was taken to an exam room where a tech did the eye chart test part of the exam. Then another came in and put in the drops to dilate my eyes and I was taken back to the harsh fluorescent light waiting room to wait. I was fairly shocked by this. After about 15 minutes I was taken back to a darkened exam room and another medical staff person came in and took glasses and ask me if I'd like a new prescription. Again I waited. I had made a 12:30 appointment with another doctor 10 minutes away and finally gave up and called them to say I would not make it (that doctor asked me why I'd pay a doctor to treat me this way.) At 12:15, the Doctor finally made his appearance and was not in the room with me more than 5 minutes. This was NOT my previous experience with this clinic. This summer after receiving my letter reminding me to make an appointment for my annual exam I began attempting to make an appointment. Here is how it goes, dial, phone rings for over 4 minutes before machine answers and tells me my call will be answered in the order received. From here, every 3 rings the recording repeats. This has been going on for 3 months now. OK, I admit that I should have thrown in the towel long ago but I was reluctant to end my 30+ year relationship with Dr.
Middlebury Ophthalmologists Provider Name Locked
. However, I have finally hit that point where I understand that all things eventually come to an end. I now have an appointment with a new provider. Sad!
