"Today's appointment went smoothly and quickly. Each time I go I am seen within 15 minutes, even in the afternoon, and today was no different -- I was called back within 5 minutes" of arriving. After leaving the waiting room, the nurse took my vital signs right away, and I had barely finished changing into my lovely paper
when PA
knocked on the door. She asked me the standard medical history and behavior questions and performed the general exam, then moved into the well woman's exam, which was quick and painless (a really great thing, actually, since for me that part usually does hurt a bit along with being humiliating and awkward). Every once in a while there are hiccups with paperwork or the electronic medical records system so they have to repeat questions you've already answered for the nursing staff, but that kind of thing happens occasionally wherever you might go and isn't a big deal. I have always been pleased with the care I have received at VMA. For acute care, we have consistently been able to get same-day appointments, and for general physicals, they are available within a week. This is a refreshing change of pace compared to other experiences I've had (granted, those were outside of the DC area, so maybe that's the norm around here), when we've had to wait 3 weeks or more for an annual checkup. The office has evening hours for established patients; although I haven't yet had to take advantage of that fact, that's one of the reasons I chose this office for primary care in the first place. With my recent injury, the office was quick to send me out for further evaluation. They sent my info over while I was en route, which helped the process go much more quickly once I arrived. The office has a lab downstairs, which opens at 7:30 -- and the earlier the better, since you usually have to fast for bloodwork.

"As I had an excellent primary care doctor in
I was worried about who I could find in Portland that I would feel comfortable with and respect. This
" filled the bill and more. I am basically in good health for my age but do want to do all the tests that make sure I stay in this condition. She is totally cooperative and knowledgeable and I have no doubt she would make appropriate referrals in a heartbeat.

Internal Medicine reviews in Derby Line

I had an interview with doctor. He gave me some samples of medications to help the asthma. They did help. The doctor was very thorough in explaining the allergies and treatment. I've been getting desensitizing shots since and the asthma has gotten better. The office was prompt. The staff is courteous and friendly. They are concerned with treatment and help to keep the costs down. I would recommend them to anyone else.

My mother in law is 76 years old. We chose Dr.
Derby Line Internists Provider Name Locked
because he is a geriatric Doctor. Due to the fact that she takes a lot of medications and has several medical issues we opted for a geriatric specialist because we felt that he would be able to spend time with the elderly and address any issues. On our first visit Dr.

was very kind, attentive, spent time with mother and answered all of our questions. We were very pleased. The second visit we had some concerns regarding her medication, headaches, depression. He referred us to a neurologists for her headaches. He gave her a questioner for depression and told us she was not depressed. He said he would refer her to a psychologists. We told him we were not interested in seeing a psychologist but he referred her anyway. Both South Coast and the Psychologist office called to set up an appointment. At that time I explained to them that we told Dr.

we did not want a consult with a Psychologists. During this visit I asked if she needed blood work because she had started B12 shots months earlier for her low blood count. He stated that she should be fine since she is on her shots and it is not necessary. On our third visit when he entered the room, he asked us the usual questions regarding any changes in her meds and condition. When he asked us about the psych visit and we explained to him again that we did not feel that this was necessary he stated that he disagreed and started walking out of the room. As he was walking out of the room my mother inquired about her pain in her fingers, he told her to take Tylenol. Which he knew she was already taking every four hours for her headaches. This is while he had his hand on the door with his exit pose. I asked him if he was leaving? He looked at me like

questions. When I started to ask them he interrupted me several times to the point that I told him if he would let me finish my sentence that would be great. Again, the

look? We were upset and displeased when we left. We left with unanswered questions. We will seek another Doctor. Bottom line is the first visit was great, the second visit was not satisfying due to no issues resolved. We considered changing Doctors at that time but decided to give him another

. We thought we may have caught him on a bad day. The last visit was the most disappointing. I have been a nurse for 35 years and have had extensive experience working in Doctors offices and know what is acceptable.

He is excellent. It went fine. I got the results, he informed me what the results are and sent me to a surgeon who will do the surgery. They were fine, I couldn't ask for more. He is personable and easy to talk to. He listens well and I've been satisfied with him. I highly recommend him to anybody who is interested.
- Robert O.

I have been using him for probably 20 years. He is just a really nice guy, he is a straight shooter and he is a good doctor. The doctor is great but some of his office staff need to be beaten with the club area.

Derby Line Internists Provider Name Locked
is just an amazing woman and she will stop and explain anything you need to learn about and you don't feel rushed. You feel like she actually cares. She unfortunately has become too popular and it's somewhat difficult to get appointments now especially if it's a last minute type visit.
- Richard H.

He is the world’s greatest doctor. He is really famous. He is just loving and wonderful. I used him for years and years. He is kind. I really like him. He takes his time to care of people. He is just like a regular doctor who cares which is important for the people here. He is a nice man.

He is so busy and so popular here. People might have to wait for a while before you get to see him because he spends time with his patients. He does well with keeping appointments.
- Barbara N.

I like his charm and criticism. He is very personable and he listens to you which to me is important.

It’s quite hard to get in because of their full schedule. The place is very clean and quiet. They have a television while you wait. The personality of the staff is fantastic.
