"I am making a long distance move, I called and reserved a 10' X 10' cubical at a set price, after my property was on it's way from New
to Texas" a family member went to sign for the space was informed that I must pay for insurance at $ 45.00 per month. If that had been disclosed when I reserved the space I would have gone with someone else.

"I was initially contacted by
in September to inform me that my delivery was ready, but asked if they could hold it for another week. The dispatcher lady was" super sweet and friendly and willing to meet my needs. The day before my delivery, I received a call with a 4 hour window 12-4. I took a day off of work in order to be there at the time of delivery. I was told I'd receive 1/2 hour notice before they came. At 330, I contacted
and was told they were running late and should be here by 600. I had to ask family members to drop what they were doing in order to be present at the time of delivery, so I could get my kids where they needed to be. I did receive my phone call 1/2 hour before delivery time of 630. The gentlemen who put the furniture together were kind and did a good job of assembly. I was just disappointed that I had to take off of work and rearrange an already hectic schedule due to overbooked deliveries.

"He performed the maintenance and then determined the garage door opener should be replaced and relocated. He did not push the additional service. We scheduled another service date" in order to install a new garage door opener. He was a perfectionist, and the first new opener did not fit right. He got another brand of garage door opener and used it to replace my old one. It ended up costing him an extra $40 to replace a part of the first new garage door opener in order to use it for another customer. Everything has been running perfectly since the install.

Hello, this is Kyle K from the Member Care Department.

Although Angie's List doesn't provide info on average or "going rates" for various projects, when members and consumers submit reviews, they have the option to include that cost of the project.

With that in mind, one way to find out a very general price range on a project is to log on to www.AngiesList.com (http://www.angieslist.com/?CID=ANS) and search for "Moving" (or any other appropriate category for your project, such as remodeling - K&B or ceramic tile), and then look at the project cost info supplied by local members and consumers.

Of course, probably the best way to get the most accurate cost information is to request multiple bids from several contractors. As the price will vary with work site considerations and individual contractors' approaches, getting multiple estimates will help provide a clearer picture of what your project will cost.

I hope this information helps!

What a professional company and job, a great experience. The salesman was exceptional, took care and got all the details of what and where we wanted. Offsite build was exactly as advertised. Everything was completed and delivery and installation was on time. Delivery/installers were professional and detail oriented.Wish all contractors went so well.

The guy who came to provide the estimate was professional and courteous. On moving day, the workers were great! They were on time, careful with our things, and were very polite to me and my family. They were careful to use work blankets (that they brought with them) in order to avoid damaging our things and both houses. They accomplished the move in one trip, which took the entire day. We were very happy with the service and tipped the movers at the end of the day. Based on this experience, I would hire them again and would feel confident recommending this company.

It took them 12.5 hours from start to finish!!!!!!!!!!! 2 men loaded a medium sized truck from 9am-4pm and unloaded from 430pm-930pm. They were so slow that complete strangers that drove by felt compelled to yell out “get moving!”.
I have personally moved on 4 occasions and had 4-5 times as much stuff, in fact a semi-trailer truck was used, and it has always take half that amount of time!!!
I truly believe that since my mom is older and had no one there with her, that they purposefully took advantage of her to try and run up her costs!
When I called
Castleton Storage Facilities Provider Name Locked
Transfer the day of the move after it had been 5 hours, I asked for the manager and I was directed to a gentlemen named
Castleton Storage Facilities Provider Name Locked
. I started by asking him to confirm what services we hired them to perform and he confirmed that it was in fact the load/transfer/unload paid by the hour service. I then asked if it was their intention to minimize the time and expense for their customers and he said “yes, absolutely”. I then asked him to explain to me how it has taken this long to load a truck when we had pre-moved every single box? He said he would have to call his movers and get back to me that day. I never heard from him. He did go out to my mom’s new house and gave her a song and dance about how “without boxes they really had to think about how to load the truck so it actually takes more time”.
Monday rolled around and still no call back from
Castleton Storage Facilities Provider Name Locked
. So I called and asked to speak with him, giving them my name and the issue it was regarding.
Castleton Storage Facilities Provider Name Locked
was rude to me the minute he picked up the phone, immediately becoming disrespectful and
antagonistic when all I said was I was still waiting on a call back from him because he had agreed to explain how it could take that long. He made ridiculous excuse after excuse, not taking any accountability whatsoever. He even accused me of “driving by and yelling at the movers” when I was in fact stuck at work the entire time which was the reason they had the opportunity to take advantage of my mom in the first place!! And come to find out, they were moving so slowly and standing around so much, that a new neighbor that we have not even met yet, felt compelled to say “get moving” when driving by!!! But he would not listen and would not let me talk and kept accusing me saying “I
Castleton Storage Facilities Provider Name Locked
’t appreciate you yelling at my guys”. Finally I just said, this is going nowhere, if nothing else, tell me how the estimate for everything could be a maximum of 8 hours and then take 12.5 hours to move about HALF the items!?! He said “I
Castleton Storage Facilities Provider Name Locked
’t know nothing about no estimate”. I said well you are the manager, it is your job to know the process and be accountable for the results. And he yelled “you know nothing about my job!!”. I had, had enough at that point and asked to speak to his boss and he transferred me to the general mail box instead. I left a message asking someone to call me back to talk through the original issue and now a new issue regarding how I was treated.
I feel obligated to let the public know I would NEVER EVER use this company again. I think that they purposefully took advantage of a widowed, nearly senior citizen and then when they got caught, they got defensive, extremely disrespectful and downright rude
trying to cover their tracks. I honestly do not know how a company like this, with absolutely no integrity and horrible customer service, has stayed in business!!!

From the time

Transfer arrived to give us a quote, to the point at which the last moving box arrived in our new home, the folks at
Castleton Storage Facilities Provider Name Locked
Transfer were probably the most customer-responsive group with which I have worked.

was attentive to our scheduling needs and the details of a two-part move. I would, without hesitancy, recommend this company for a move of any size.

WAS ABSOLUTELY A NIGHTMARE. I also have a review for Roadway Moving, the company that was hired by
Castleton Storage Facilities Provider Name Locked
's to do our move We chose
Castleton Storage Facilities Provider Name Locked
's because of good reviews and paid more money than we would have with other companies because of their "reputation". That turned out not to be true at all. Crew arrived in Long Island on time but rushed the packing job. Several boxes were not labeled and no description of the goods inside, only the name of the room where the items were packed. Several Items were not wrapped properly and goods were just thrown into boxes. Movers damaged the wall when trying to move a treadmill without taking it apart. In
Castleton Storage Facilities Provider Name Locked
, one truck arrived on time and the second truck did not show up until the next day. We ended up sleeping on a mattress on the floor. Another move was jammed into one of the trucks and caused damage to our goods. Treadmill was broken, floor lamp glass was shattered and the lamp base was twisted. One of our bed screws was badly twisted and the foot no longer fits securely. Several other items were damaged, including a metal table base where one of the legs was broken off the base and a tempered glass shelf that was broken and can not be fixed. When opening the boxes, we realized that the packing was terrible. As an example,
Castleton Storage Facilities Provider Name Locked
jars were not wrapped and several kitchen boxes were full of spices, oil and other kitchen products. The crew in
Castleton Storage Facilities Provider Name Locked
did the best they could but there should have been more than three persons to perform the services. It took them from 9:00 am to roughly 7:00 to finish and we still had to assemble some of the items. We could not keep track of the box numbers to make sure we had received all of the boxes. All in all a terrible experience. We heard from
Castleton Storage Facilities Provider Name Locked
's and they will only compensate the standard $.60 per pound which will not cover our cost to repair or replace damaged items.

Many local moving companies would have charged my family three, four, or five times the amount I paid
Castleton Storage Facilities Provider Name Locked
to store my furniture and household valuables. In addition, the moving company would have required us to use them to move the furniture into storage, which would have been another large costs. Using
Castleton Storage Facilities Provider Name Locked
was such an econmically feasible alternative to a moving company. Plus, our furniture and household goods were in near perfect condition when we pulled them out of the storage pods five months later!!!! Many moving companies cannot claim that good of a job.All I need to say is
