Reviews for Williamsburg Collision Repair

Rated Review by Leonard B.
"Each of my two cars has had one of the original headlights replaced. After a time one headlight lens on each vehicle had become faded to the point that I considered paying to have them replaced. They came directly to my house and were able to return each of the affected headlights to a clear condition. Now my headlights match.

was the only shop that gave me a written estimate (3 shops visited). They were also the only shop that wanted to paint the side of the truck from the start. The other two shops wanted to
the side first to see how much true damage there was. Due to some old damage to the paint, I choose
to insure the whole side looked new instead of shiny with old damage.
was able to get my vehicle in quickly to coincide with a business trip so that no rental car was needed.
The paint job looks great and the old damage is no longer there including a small
that was not part of the insurance claim. They polished the entire truck to ensure everything was equally shiny. They even fixed a small bit of rust on the bottom lip of the door that I pointed out for a minimal fee of $75.
What I did not like from the service:
When they did the estimate, they brought the truck inside under the lights. When I picked the truck up, I inspected it outside under an overhang. I did not notice that there was a distinct line on the hood, I saw that later under the bright lights of a gas station that night. It had been a dark and rainy day. I had to take the truck back the next day for them to
out the over-spray that caused the line. They had me in and out in a half hour.
Also, when I picked up the truck, my radio was on. I normally leave it on but I made a conscious effort to shut it off before I dropped off the truck. Just a pet peeve.
I have also noticed that the courtesy light on the door no longer is working (I haven't investigated further yet to see if it was plugged in when reassembled). I know it worked when it was dropped off at night.
If I had been paying for the repair out of my pocket instead of being an insurance claim, I probably would have chosen a different shop. But with this being an insurance claim, they did not inflate the bill to cover my $50 deductible. They use 3M paint and products (quality brand products). They also worked with my schedule and did another minor repair while it was in their shop for a minor fee.
Long story short;
seems to be a honest quality shop that was in a rush or their quality assurance failed them before giving me back my truck. Other shops wanted to
out what they could and repair the rest, while
jumped ahead to repainting the side, I think that would have been the outcome for the other shops as well as it is a ten year old black truck and the paint has minor fading that would be hard to spot paint any damage.
