"They were very fast to respond to my initial email inquiry. I was able to see before and after pictures. They were flexible when I had to reschedule due to a" move out delay. I was out of town when the service was provided and they emailed me pictures so I could see the finished product before they asked me for the final payment. The bathtub and surround look amazing....it looks brand new. I think it will be a huge bonus as I try to sell the condo. It was well worth the money. We may also have them do the bathrooms in our new house so that they look as good as the condo we are selling. I would absolutely recommend them. Their before and after pictures on their website are no lie it will look clean and perfect when they are finished.

Bathtub refinishing

Over time, the bathtub can begin to show signs of wear with stains, scratches, a dull finish or other ugly marks. Bathtub refinishing is an option that can return a bathtub or shower enclosure to like-new appearance.

OK - terminology issue here. The "shower pan" is a collection liner than underlies the shower floor itself, and is designed (if built and plumbed right) to trap any leakage from the shower floor and route it to the same floor drain pipe. Example image here, copper in this case -

It sounds like your are saying the shower floor or base unit failed - likely a fiberglass or plastic shower, which commonly fail due to incomplete support under them. This can be repaired if fiberglass, but is not usually done unless just microcracking, as it is hard to find an expert - usually you have to have a car body fiberglass specialist or a surfboard repair expert do it, and the color will not match perfectly unless you get a new gelcoat over the entire base unit. Cost about $300-500, ASSUMING the material can be repaired - true fiberglass can, thermoplastic can sometimes be welded but anyone's guess how long it will last without cracking again, plastics like PVC can rarely be fixed so they will hold someone standing on them. Any sort of repair is likely to crack again, because you have done nothing to remove the cause of the cracking which is standing on a base that is not fully supported over its full extent. Some cheepo or desperate plumbers try injecting non-pressuring type expanding foam underneath to improve the support - this does a great job of supporting it but unfortunately supports mold, so starts stinking in short order as a rule.

The normal fix is to remove and replace it, because once it is out there is no sense in putting a damaged one back in for the small increment in cost. Removing it means taking the shower wall liners or the bottom row or two of tile out so you can get the new base unit into place (because they overlap it), then replacing them. So, the $3000 range indicated is indicative of this type of job, which typically runs from a very low of around $1500-2000 for an identical base unit, to more typically $3-5,000 depending on whether a shower enclosure or tile walls. Of course, when the new one is put in, it is CRITICAL that it be fully supported - this means rubbing plumbers rouge or similar marking substance on the bottom, test fitting it, and then lifting it out and checking that all the stiffener ribs and support pads made contact with the pan, and making adjusments as necessary until it has full contact, then standing in it and rocking back and forth to check for any points not making full contat and fixing them.

The $10,000 plus numbers you got must have been for entire shower replacement down to the joists and studs, and the $30,000 range number would be typical for a full bathroom remodel with new shower or shower/tub and doors and surround, wall finishes, vanity, sink, toilet, and flooring and door.

OUTSTANDING.
The representative who did the work showed up on time, made sure she understood what I wanted, and got about her business without delay, and with great industry. Be aware that the fumes are significant, so be prepared, If you have respiratory issues, you may wish to arrange for someone to be there in your place, or leave the premises until the job is done. This is a 2 day process. The 3rd day, the fumes are nearly gone, and after that, all you have to do is enjoy the beauty.
I did stay onsite for the duration, and I was fine, no lingering issues. And the bathtub and tile are still bright and beautiful after 7 months. I highly recommend this company.
Well worth the price.

Disrespectful. Dishonest. Incompetent. We made "first available" appointment weeks in advance after being duped into buying their Angie's List deal. 25 minutes before appointment, they sent an email (didn't even call) to say they they supposedly didn't have our phone contact info (this was not true, since I made the appointment by telephone and confirmed the contact information provided when we signed up online). I then looked up their phone number online (since the email didn't bother to include it) and called back.
"

" answered the phone and when I told him who I was he immediately launched into some song and dance on why they were overbooked and would not be able to make the appointment (which was by then 15 minutes away and for which my wife had taken off the day from work to meet them some 30 minutes away). Clearly he had no appreciation or respect for the fact sending an email 25 minutes before a 12:00 noon appointment (with no contact information for how to call back) then lying about not having our multiple phone numbers was not appropriate. He informed me they had other customers booked this afternoon and would not be able to come after all and flat out refused to honor our appointment. I suggested if they had insufficient work crews or transportation issues they could just as easily inconvenience one of their other customers instead of us, and pointed out again that we had made the appointment weeks ago and could not reschedule a day off from work the next day.

then raised his voice, told me they didn't have anyone available to do the work, and were completely booked the rest of the week and could not reschedule until the weekend at the earliest. When I again suggested that our job was as important as the other jobs they had scheduled for this afternoon, he raised his voice again, said they were too busy to bother with us at all, made a derogatory remark about people who booked through Angie's List, and stated "I am just taking you off the list. We won't be doing your job ever" then hung up on me.
Clearly, this company is unable or unwilling to honor its service commitments, unable or unwilling to honor the prepaid Angie's List deal they offer, and given the fact that it took so long to schedule the appointment (they were supposedly already booked the first several days I suggested) and then refused to honor even that appointment, I question whether they use Angie's list "deals" as a way to just collect money on jobs they never intended to do in the first place. .
Absolutely terrible unreliable service and awful customer service experience. Stay away at all costs!

Arnie was great to work with. He was very informative about his craft and seemed to be passionate about his work. I called to get an estimate for the reglazing of a steel tub for a guest bath renovation. Arnie explained the process and told me where he would fit into the schedule of repairs. I scheduled him to come out for the reglaze. On the first day I had him scheduled, he reported, only to have to reschedule as my electricity was under repair, and my plumbing was not completed to a point where he could use it. Arnie was extremely patient and got in touch with me to reschedule. The second date went as planned. He even added a small texture to the bottom of the tub, per my request (as I often have older adults using the guest bath and wanted to help add a bit of comfotable friction to the bottom of the tub). Everything went as planned; Arnie was very polite and courteous. The tub turned out great! I would use his services again if I ever need to reglaze another tub.

They finally came and worked it out. Initially, I had set an appointment with them. They didn't cancel it, they didn't call and just say they were not coming. They just didn't show up. After I called Angie's List, they finally got out there and did the work. I purchased in April, but it was probably sometime in May when they did get out here and do the work.

I had a customer rep from Angie's follow up and call them to find out if they were going to come out and do the work or just get me a refund. They came out and did the work at least in the middle of May. The service was for $79. When they finally set the appointment again, they came on time. I would not use them again.

Well initially we had some scheduling issues. These issues were no fault of the provider. On the appointment day, it started to snow in Dallas! Once he finally arrived, he determined it was too cold to apply the finish. We schedule a second appointment. Guess what...IT STARTED TO SNOW AGAIN! When we were finally able to get to a 'no snow day', he came in, stripped the old finish, put on a

I bought a condo for my daughter while she attends UAB. The condo was built in 1960. The bathrooms had 3/4 inch tile and porcelain tubs that had been stained over time. You can't find this type thickness and quality of tile or tub anymore. Both looked like they needed to be replaced with a complete gut job of both bathrooms. I started to do research on resurfacing the tub and tile and found

The transformation of both bathrooms from dated to brand new was unbelievable! They look showroom new. This was the best money I've ever spent on an upgrade.

saved me thousands on a bathroom gut job an rebuild. I still can't believe the transformation. It took 3 days as promised and cost $2800. Same as the quote. He called my daughter on Saturday and asked if he could come by and check the caulking to make sure it was good. Anyone else have a contractor ask to come by and inspect their own work to ensure quality after the job was done?

I spent 4 days cleaning my house due to the dust (probably toxic) he created after resurfacing our counters. Said it would 'look' smooth but not feel smooth--doesn't even look smooth. When he came back because the quarter round turned yellow, I asked if he would also touch up the gray spots on our outlet strip, and at first he hesitated saying he did the strip 'as a favor' but he guessed 'he would do it as he was already there to do the outlet strip'. If he had told us it would create so much dust, we would have hung plastic to create a smaller space (we have an open floor plan) but he never told us this would be a problem. I mean--I had to clean out drawers, wipe down walls...it was terrible. I told him and all he offered was an apology. The counters do clean up easily and look ok--I can overlook that they do not look smooth as he said they would....
