"
was great from start to finish. I was concerned with the looks of the piping going outside the house like many systems are.
" was able to run it through the house and out the roof. He even painted the roof vent to color match the other vents. I was also concerned about the noise of the electric motor that moves the air making an irritating noise outside. He was able to put the motor in the attic to eliminate that problem. He also listened to my concerns about getting the radon to as close to zero or zero as possible.
stated he could run two lines into basement floor exhausting out one vent to accomplish that. After making the first hole he found dry sand and decided one hole would be sufficient air movement. After installing and a 48 hour test we found he was right. We had zero or very very close to zero for readings. I would certainly use him again.

"Absolutely horrible to work with!! The "radon girl", as she calls herself, texts the seller that she needs home access. The problem is she wants it done" on her own time and is completely unwilling to work out a reasonable schedule. Multiple times were offered at my, the seller's, availability and NONE of the times ever work for her. She wants unlimited free access to the home. NO, I will not leave a key under the doormat for some stranger to enter my home!! After finally scheduling a time she cancels 10 minutes before the scheduled time. Her excuses are that she needs to be across town...perhaps she needs to learn time management skills and drive times in KC metro. It's not hard to figure out how long it takes to drive somewhere and complete the job as KC is an easy town to maneuver. This was just to drop off the Radon test. Picking up the test was even worse. She asks if you're free that afternoon so you give her a time in the afternoon and replies that it won't work for her since I didn't text back with an immediate time. I do have to work and run errands too and can't reply at your
and call. After I gave her multiple times to pick it up and she didn't like the times, so she calls the buyers whining that we won't let her into the house. We will are willing to let her pick up the unit but our lives don't revolve around "Radon Girl's" schedule. She needs to remember that she is running a business and needs to be willing to work with the clients and not shoot down every availability given. BUYERS, I do NOT recommend this person as she has made the seller very upset when selling a house is already stressful enough.

Radon

Radon is a colorless, odorless gas that occurs as a decay byproduct of uranium and thorium. Radon forms naturally in the environment, and low levels can be detected in soil, rock and ground water. Homeowners that inhale radon are at risk of lung cancer and even death.

The
Roanoke Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
tech showed up on time (he was even a little early) and he was very professional and he explained everything he would be doing. He made sure the color he used for the exterior mounted system was a color that I liked and when it was complete I was impressed with how well it blended in with our house color. He was very friendly and nice to work with and he gave a thorough explanation of the warranty, what was covered and what to do in the event that the system wasn't working properly, etc. I felt like their price was fair and everything seems to be working well with the system. I would use this company again and I would feel comfortable recommending them to others.

was referred to us by our realtor for a home inspection & radon testing on a home we are purchasing. He arrived on time, was prompt & friendly. The whole inspection took around 2 hours. Printed off a full detailed report and went over everything with us and made recommendations on what needed to be fixed & how urgent each item was. He was willing to answer any questions we had. He also does just radon testings. Totally worth the additional cost ($100) as our readings were 3x over the acceptable limit! I will be passing his information along to my parents as well for radon testing.

It went very well.

and his crew are extremely professional.
Roanoke Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
came out himself one day to explain the whole process to me, give me an estimate, and schedule the installation of the mitigation system. On the day of the installation, he arrived first, followed by his crew, who worked diligently and accomplished the installation just as described in one day. This also entailed having an electrician come out and do some wiring, which they coordinated. Since an electrician was coming anyway, I asked
Roanoke Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
if he could have them install a GFCI outlet on the outside of my house, which he did, saving me the expense of a separate electrician house call.
After the installation,
Roanoke Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
provided me with a short-term radon test kit, which came back with a result in the promised range (2.4pCi/L, down from 5.8 prior to the mitigation).
About a month or so ago, I started to notice a strange noise in my basement, that went away when I turned off the radon mitigation system fan. So I called
Roanoke Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
, and he got back to me within a few hours, saying that it sounded like maybe we had a bad fan and that he would have one of his guys come out by the end of the week to look at it. As promised, one of his guys showed up (on the weekend, no less), and replaced the fan, which had a little debris in it. When we turned the fan back on, however, the sound was still there. After a little investigative work, the technician discovered that the noise was not being produced by the fan at all, but rather by a malfunctioning sump pump (the fan was just making the sound resonate). Despite this being totally unrelated to the radon mitigation system, the technician was kind enough to help me address the issue with the sump pump, and wouldn't even let me pay him anything. I was extremely grateful for his assistance and impressed by the generosity. I would highly recommend this company.

and his wife arrived exactly on time and explained everything that they needed to do. they showed us pictures of
radon systems that they previously installed on other homes. They went about their business in a very professional manner and cleaned up every thing that was disturbed. When they were finished the operation of the system was explained to us in a manner which was easy to understand. Before they left they put a radon monitor in the basement to be picked up in two days. When they returned to pick up monitor radon level went from 9.0 to 0.6. I would recommend the

company to anyone who needs a radon system.

We were so impressed!
Roanoke Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
called us to schedule an appointment the very next day. It quickly became clear that the previous owners had had a sub-standard mitigation system installed.
Roanoke Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
fixed the system (which involved moving pipes, adjusting the fan, installing various safety features) and sealed our sump pump. For the amount of work done and the professional service, we thought the fee was really very reasonable. We'd recommend

From the start we were impressed with the crew at Lifetime. We're busy people and our time is valuable to us so when they showed up on time for the quote I was already impressed. That's more than other contractors seem to be able to accomplish.
Roanoke Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
introduced himself and started off by asking questions about the situation, explaining the process, and giving us options after he saw the house and garage.
He gave us a quote without any high pressure sales pitch, and after we talked about it, we decided to go with them.
Calling in to set up an appointment was pretty straightforward and they were able to get us scheduled at a time that was good for us. Just like the quote,
Roanoke Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
showed up when he promised and got to work.
When he started to do the install there was a snag because of the way the house was built with a dropped floor in the family room but that didn't slow him down. Right away he came up with "Plan B", presented it to us, and we gave our thumbs up.
He proceeded with the secondary location and had things installed and running in no time. Because this was the backup plan we had to do a temporary extension cord until an electrician could get us an outlet but that's OK because we hadn't planned on exiting the house where we did.
Overall I'd have to say that working with
Roanoke Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
and crew was a very refreshing experience. They respected our time by always being prompt, they did a professional job, and best of all, we don't have to worry about Radon levels being almost double the recommended level.
I'd use them again in a heartbeat.
