First time I called to switch my service from MediaCom to
Portsmouth Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
, was on hold a LONG time
and then got a CS rep who was not very knowledgeable or friendly. Ended the call out of frustration
and called back weeks to later to switch service.
First bill was "double" what I expected.
Interface and service is clunky and not nearly as good as MediaCom.
(I can't believe I am saying something/someone is worse than MediaCom!)
The channel guide is not smooth or intuitive.
The DVR recording settings are cumbersome and (again) not intuitive.
Every time I switch channels or want to record something on DVR, I regret switching.
And so do my wife and kids. We will be switching back to MediaCom or trying Charter.

The installer, JR, was very knowledgeable and professional throughout.
My only complaint is that the service speed seems to be slowing as they acquire more customers. Started out at 5-7mbps DL and now, at peak time [6-10pm] .

I did not want wires stapled to my walls, so they ran the wires through my three closets which was both more difficult and time consuming.

After many calls and attempts to fix the service without a tech. we finally resorted to a house call. The problem has not recurred; however some of the ancillary services were degraded.

went fine = their internet service is great - the TV service is not so great - they changed the channels just a week or so ago and



didn't tell the customers (or at least us) - when I called and asked for a new channel listing they said look on your TV guide and we didn't have one any more -then they said if you want a new channel list we would have to come and ick it up and I don't (can't ) drive - so the internet service is great but their cable is not so great

The service person arrived during the pre-agreed time frame. He located the problem in our outside line, performed repairs and informed us there would be no charge (because it was main incoming line). Quick, timely and very professional!

Over all, I was able to get what I was promised. The actual work was performed by a sub contractor. My house was prewired for cable. There were outlets in each room. He disconnected all the outlets except the two I was using and removed the splitter from my internal cable box. I discovered it after he left. When I called to get my splitter back, his boss said they could do that. I later confirmed after complaining to

they were not supposed to do that. It took a long time and several phone calls to get it corrected.
The service (Cable and Internet) has been reliable. I do not think I have had any outages.
Unfortunately I do not have but one cable company available.

. He was so knowledgeable, and he took the time to explain everything very clearly. He did wiring and set up my wireless connection. He insisted we try out my internet connection before his departure to make sure everything was working well, and gave me many tips. He did not act like he was in a rush to leave or too busy to provide a thorough explanation of features. I appreciated a job well done, and I love the product!

Three days later a service tech arrived and promptly confirmed that it was a

signal issue. I was asked to sign a work order that had the service call costs on it. When I protested signing he said no worries I would not be charged. Three days later

changed out some lines and I was able to get a signal. When my bill came I was charged for the service call I was charged for the service call and the days I had no service. After an hour on the phone and asking to talk to higher levels of mgmt. I hope things have been resolved. I have yet to see the updated statement that I was promised.
I would not use
