"After some initial confusion about the start of my service..they arrived promptly and did the job in a very professional manner throughout the summer. Like all" lawn companies they offered extra services but there was no pushiness involved. I still hate the "we'll start next summer unless you tell us differently" approach that all lawn services use, but this company appears to do what they say they are going to do and listens when you call them and responds well.

"I think Mr.
did an aerial view of my property and determined the requirements were beyond the scope of the service he was providing. He" promptly telephoned and gave me his assessment of my property; detailed the services
provided; suggested a couple of sources that could bring my property in line with the services
provides; gave me a couple of referrals and promptly refunded my payment.

How to Get Rid of Springtails

One of the most effective ways to control springtails is to dry out the infested area. Springtails require a high-moisture environment to breed and thrive, living mostly off of algaes that grow in moist conditions. They will either leave the infested area or die out. If there is an infestation that cannot be controlled by drying out the infested area, use an appropriately labeled insecticide with a residual time These will typically be a liquid concentrate form, a wet-able powder form, or a dust product.  DO NOT APPLY UNTIL AREAS ARE DRY.  If area will not dry naturally, use Corn Starch to soak-up any lingering moisture and otherwise 'steer' any rain water or irrigation away from area.

Also, if there is a noticed springtail infestation around the perimeter of the structure, use the insecticide to do a barrier treatment and apply corn starch to reduce or eliminate moisture. Caulk and seal all cracks and crevices and inspect potted plants before they are brought into the house.

I would talk to your local lawn and garden supply store (or mill and feed) - NOT a box store or hardware store. There are also selective grass control chemicals. YOu can research this by Googling using search string      "Tall Fescue Control" - there are lots of articles by the USDA and individual state cooperative extension services.

There is a treatment called chlorsulfuron TFC (Tall Fescue Control) that will do this - it worked for me in western New York, but took 3 years to finish out all the tall fescue. It may now be limited to use by commercial applicators - pretty potent stuff. Can yellow bluegrass or make it phytosensitive, but our looked OK during treatment because the TFC was applied in the fall for best results, and our lawn was dormant till spring anyway.

Tall fescue can also be controlled by real short mowing, but only in areas where the bluegrass is dominant and really thrives so will eventually crowd out the trimmed fescue, but you may be too far north for that.

Lawn Treatment reviews in Hardy

My grass is looking very nice and I have no problems with insects. I have grass only in the front, and it's not very large of an area; it doesn't take them long to do the work -- about 20 minutes total.

They did a great job. They treated my lawn at the time of the year that it needed to be treated and it still looks great.
- Mary G.

They are very friendly. They show up when they are supposed to show up. They are reasonably priced. There is a guy that comes in here and makes sure that people doing the work are doing what they are supposed to and he talks to me about other things. So it is an attention to detail too. They were the best priced around for the tree service in January. So, I can go to one company and get things done on the outside without having to deal with three or four different places.
- John M.

Absolutely outstanding ! Good communication with company. They got up all the leaves and left the place neat and tidy. I was very pleased. The company took great care to ensure everything was placed back neatly if It Had To Be moved. I would definitely hire this company again.
- Ricky S.

The technicians are thorough in their spraying. They come on time, are agreeable and have given us no problems. We inquired about removing a dead shrub but the representative said that their service includes spraying and treating but not other landscaping work. We have contracted for ongoing service.
- Joyce C.

Had them come to my home to give me an estimate. The technician seemed to know what he was talking about so I agreed to have them fertilize my lawn. I asked to be present when the application was applied and requested a phone call. They did apply the first application and I found out by my video security system. I. Wedged to ask a few questions but when I called, there was no answer, no answering machine or voice mail. After tryin for 4 days, I finally was able to contact then. I cancelled the service. The technician told me how could make my lawn look as good as his. I found out where he lived and decided I wanted my lawn to look a lot better. I have since moved on to a new service which I am completely satisfied wit.
- Joseph P O.

Won't be able to tell until the Spring. Overall, they're a good company that tries to provide good customer support. They don't seem exceptionally responsive to customer concerns though they will eventually respond with an answer. Weeds are my biggest concern and they are okay in that area though every mid-late summer weeds start popping up despite regular treatments.
- Bradley K.

Always on time, courteous, professional. This was the third lawn care company I used, and they were by far, the best. They really care about what they do.
- Roxanne F.
