The offer was as follows:
$1,499 for a Handyman or General Contractor for a Week1499.00 1 Order Number:1288560 Ordered On:May 26, 2014.
I was asked for my phone number on 27 May 2014. I was not contacted until 12
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
2014 at which time I said roughly what I wanted done and that I would send a detailed explanation. Unfortunately, I was unable to complete that before I was contacted again and told that they wanted to start the next day 17
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
2014. I said that I could not support that and the reply was that they were starting then and that if I could not have the replacement trim available that they would get it a Home Depot. I got up at 0400 the next morning and got the material out and placed in on my front walk. Only one workman showed up on the next day. He tore off the first
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
completely by the time I got home from work. He mentioned that most of the wood was fine. So I agreed with him to put it back on and just replace the rotted boards. The next day two workmen showed up and when I got home they had removed all the rotted areas that I requested be replaced. Then final day they told my son about noon that they had to leave at 1 pm because it was only a 35 hour ticket and that they had replaced and caulked all the rotted trim. Then today while working in my yard my son points out to me that they left a ladder. Shortly after that the owner of the company comes by to pick up the ladder and ask how it went. I say ok and he informs me that this offer was not for doing high work, because of the risk involved. This was precisely why I hired them and at no time before this did he mention that this was an issue. Then he asks me to fill out an Angie's List Review. I say that I will do it online which is what I am doing now.

Our house flooded over the christmas period, the same week we were scheduled to move in. No stress there !!!..... So we joined Angies list and began the hunt for service providers. Right from the start Moss were very supportive,

came out and surveyed the damage.
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
was very prompt and efficient with helping us deal with the insurance company (of which we had never experienced before). Once all the paperwork was finalized and a schedule agreed, my husband and I decided we would like some extra work done, again not a problem.
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
made it happen. We were very fortunate that we were given the 'A Team' to work with,

Sharp, no matter what we wanted, changed, added or tweeked they worked with us, and I do have to say I am high maintenance when it comes to having work done at my home. I have never used the same contractor twice because the work is never to a high enough standard. We did have a couple translation problems when it came to the final finishing but I think that was as much my fault as anyone else (English to American English translation ! Who knew a 'skirting board' was called a baseboard'!? ) The 'A Team' went above and beyond my expectations and have already been recommended to a good friend. I will definitely have them back to do our next project,

Ari Javid, who heads up
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
and leads two others as a three-man crew, is a meticulous craftsman who takes the time to figure out the best way to approach things and to do things right. He and his team tore out our old kitchen and put in a new one, and he did a superb job. In setting up for the work, Ari was always very careful to protect things, and throughout he was very conscientious about not damaging the cabinets and appliances. Throughout the work, I was always amazed how well the various panels and corner cabinet spacers that he sawed and installed were aligned with the cabinets and appliances. Everything always seemed to fit beautifully together, and if variable items, such as a particular drawer alignment, wasn't quite aligned to our taste (we tend to be very picky), his team would make the adjustment.
Ari brings a high level of abilities to the table in how he approaches a job, able to think things through and suggest solutions to the many unique-situation challenges that always come up in such work (his co-worker also had a knack for coming up with good solutions to thorny problems). Besides being a general contractor, Ari is also personally a licensed plumber and electrician, so he can do all the needed work himself without having to rely on someone else. For example, he met our need to fit a full-sized wastebasket under the sink despite a new, large septic-friendly garbage disposal and did a very elegant arrangement of the pipes to make that work, something I had not thought could be done. He also worked out the positioning for the downdraft vent piping in the floor that allowed for a much more efficient island cabinet configuration than we had originally thought.
No matter what aspect you want to talk about--drywall installation, oak floor-board matching and replacement, electrical wiring, appliance installation, under-cabinet lights and plugs, you name it--we always had complete confidence it would be done with great care, and Ari and his team delivered. Even though Ari of course knew much more about such a project than I did, he was always open to my ideas and was perfectly willing to take a new approach if something I suggested made sense. He was also polite in resisting if a suggestion was not the best idea, and he made a point of explaining why.
In addition, Ari was patient when there were delays outside of his control. The repeated 3rd-party supply of certain end panels of the wrong size stretched out his work by several weeks and forced him to do some things twice just to keep the work flow going, but he never complained.
To be balanced in any very positive review one always seems obligated to point out some shortcoming. The only one I can think of, and it’s not really a negative, is that
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
is perhaps not the firm to take if your top goal is to get the remodeling project done at warp speed. Ari’s care and craftsmanship doesn’t allow him to race through a project, and he wasn’t one to have his team get home late in the evening just to start a new item on a particular day.
We weren't sure whether to use Ari's team for the backsplash, which was a somewhat challenging project with a lot of separate variable-sized horizontal marble strips for each roughly 12"x12" section. We ended up choosing him because we knew it would be done as a partnership through our good relationship. Ari was not in town for that work, and his other two team members did a very nice job and put up with my constant checking and suggestions for the countless alignment issues with those tiles. They never complained about my involvement and made any adjustment I asked for.
We found Ari and his team to be completely trustworthy, and they had the keys to our house and did most of the work while we were not around. Each day Ari would go over the questions that needed answering so he could move forward, and if something came up during the day, he would call.
Ari always went the extra mile to make sure things happened as they should. He basically spent half of a day hanging around doing nothing just to make sure the counter fabricators did the cooktop cut-out right in relation to the downdraft, which was a critical component. He easily could have left that to the counter company and hoped for the best. After he was already done with our kitchen and fully paid, he made the long trek to our house to check out why our under-cabinet lights suddenly didn't work and found that the transformer had gone bad. Ari labeled the wires, and when I got a replacement, I could install the new one myself.
So if you want fine craftsmanship, intelligent solutions, and a friendly, cooperative team to work with,
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
fits the bill.

Electrician showed up on time, gave a thorough and accurate estimate of the work, and completed all on time and schedule. Tne drywall repairs were neat and finished and paint-ready. We even threw in a couple of monkey wrenches in the way of last minute changes and additions and they all were cheerfully and completely done, on time and under budget.

We are getting ready to sell our home and relocate. We needed to update the kitchen but did not want to perform a complete remodel. We asked Foster to provide an estimate to replace vinyl flooring with ceramic tile, replace
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
butcher block counter-tops with granite and install a tile backsplash above all counters. We wanted to retain the existing cabinetry as it is in very good condition. Foster's designer worked closely with us to coordinate and select the tile and granite materials. The new counters included a new double bowl sink, faucet, and garbage disposer. They originally scheduled the work to be performed the first two weeks of December, but due to an opening in their master schedule, they were able to start the work on November 15th and completed the job one week later on November 22nd. They coordinated the work packages flawlessly, and the lead carpenter/tile installer,

Integrity windows & doors, complete re-siding with HardiePlank over new plywood sheathing with final HardiePlank trim throughout. We could not have asked for more -- and in fact got more than we knew to ask for.
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
and his crew were total professionals.
In late August after meeting with five different contractors to discuss long-needed replacement of siding & windows on our 40-year old home, we settled on
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
with
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
.
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
immediately impressed us while explaining everything involved, and met with us on multiple occasions to nail down the options for exactly what we wanted when replacing the original squirrel-infested cedar siding, the old stuck single-pane windows and the needed doors.
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
provided an incredible team to install those windows/doors, custom-fit the new siding over new plywood sheathing protected by E-wrap, and finally install the needed Leaf-Relief gutter system. Where
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
found original construction problems (as in no backing AT ALL behind portions of the original siding), he fixed them. Where there were savings to be made he consulted with us and offset other costs. Everything was timed like clockwork: windows & doors first, siding & trim second, gutters third. No downtime at all.
Working with
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
has been a personal and professional pleasure. I pay him my highest compliment when stating that he & his team have been men of integrity.
We highly recommend

The office was very nice and I believe the owner is committed to trying to do a good job, but the when they came to my home to give me an estimate of what supplies were needed, they were off and the estimator did not have the same recommendation as the painters. The original date was set back 7 days due to two of the workers vehicles breaking down. When the work was done, the painting was adequate -- not great, There are still areas where another coat of paint is needed. The drywall work was very good and it I am pleased with the patch work. The teams clean up was not very good, the area around the garden hose had white paint all around and the water hose was left on -- the company either has a lot of new people who need training and coordination help, or they lack an understanding of full customer service.

When we made a decision to begin remodeling the bathrooms of our home, we selected 4 bathroom/kitchen remodelers with high ratings on Angie's List.We had all come for appointments and 3 submitted proposals (one never contacted us again). From our initial meeting with
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
(owner) it was clear that he was thorough, professional and trustworthy.A key component of
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
was the fact that inclusive of the bid was the ability to utilize their in house design team, Design by Skill.Once the proposals were prepared, 2 came back to discuss in detail. While
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
's proposal was not the most price competitive, it was clearly the most thorough. (We have worked with many contractors before where the price was attractive, but the change orders were deadly.)We opted to utilize
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
initially for only our hall bath to ensure we had made a wise choice. Our Project Manager, CJ was a key to the success. He was prompt, professional, thorough and diligent.Additionally, we worked hand in hand with
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
(Design by Skill) to determine the best use of space, material choices, fixtures, surfaces and colors. She coordinated all the shopping trips for all materials and provided design guidance, when we didn't quite know what we wanted. After being so pleased with the progress of the hall bath, we decided to move forward with the master bath.Once again the
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
and Design by Skill team came thorough and were a dream team.Everyone (

, CJ,

,
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
, the tile guys, the window guys, and others) were professional, respectful, hardworking and treated our home like there own!Our very large cavern with no style, has now been transformed into an oasis with beautiful tranquil colors, surfaces and we love it!As we completed that project, we opted to replace the windows in our entire home. The team was incredible and completed the task quickly and with minimum disruption.
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
did an amazing job! We would have them come again and recommend them HIGHLY!

We received an in-home estimate from
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
Homebuilders approx 6 months prior to our start date. Work was commenced on our timetable when we felt comfortable to proceed. They finished on time and in the time period specified.
We received 3 estimates from 3 companies and all were comparable.
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
was not the 'cheapest' estimate but neither were they the most expensive. They outlined in detail the scope of the work to be performed in each area of our home and how the work would proceed. The estimate and contract were very clear and concise without a bunch of legal-eze. We had target dates for payment as each phase of work commenced as they are a small firm and this may ease their cash flow. (Remember small does not mean less in this case--it was a very personable and caring firm with which to work--they ALWAYS had my family's welfare at heart during the remodel!))
They arrived each day at the assigned time and worked in a very professional manner. I felt very at ease having them in my home and could leave when necessary without the worry of my home being unattended or 'open' to just anyone. The most awesome part of their work aside from the great craftsmanship was the fact that they vacuumed and swept each and every day at the end of the work day. I can't tell you how much that meant to me as I HATE a dirty house/floor. THey also laid plastic on all the floor areas/carpet and plastic enclosures to separate the dust in the work areas from the other adjacent areas. (I have a child with Asthma and this was very important) I am so pleased with the work they did that I will use their services again in a new home I am currently building. The improvements they did will allow us to command top dollar for our home at re-sale time next spring. Some of the new features in my new home will include the things they did with the improvements made last spring. We are currently enjoying our remodel!
Kind, caring, detail oriented, and professional are just some of the words I could use to describe
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
and

at
Fairfax Station Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
! They understand that their work is their recommendation and it truly passes muster.
