"It was an excellent experience. They did a wonderful job. They were a few things that they wanted to re do. I stated I didn't notice it. The owner said he noticed," they corrected it. They provided very high quality work.

"
is a master craftsman! I had a large crack in a portion of my countertop, and he devised a way to replace just that portion rather than" the entire counter, which saved me at least $2,000. He was prompt and very neat. The replaced counter portion looks great, and you would never know it was not the original piece. I really liked how he could think outside the box and come up with a solution.

Artificial (quartz) is cheaper, more uniform, has fewer voids to collect dirt, and is almost as abrasion and chip resistant.

Granite is more expensive, stains and collects dirt a little easier as a rule, and is slighly more chip resistant as a rule.

For durability, I would not rate one over the other - barring a 250 lb guy hopping up on it and cracking it, either is likely to outlive you. Selection is typically based on appearance - quartz tends to be more uniform looking and does not always do a good job of simulating the veining and variations that natural stone has.

?

Now some of the man made stone counters rival the real granite and othe stones without the maintainence of stone. There are many of them out there and it is more a choice of looks than anything else. Corian is still a strong choice of tops today and one advantage is it can be repaired when scratched on site. If you don't mind the maintainence you can't beat the looks of real stone though unless you need a few pieces to make up the top as the graining may be hard to match up. I am impressed though at how realistic some of the man made products have become. It is more an issue of what brand are available in your area. Most all are made the same way with crushed stone and basically an epoxy binder used to make the sheets.

Started February 13, 2015 got a quote started job February 20. Problems from 1st day and continued through today.
Colonial Beach Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
said he would be back the next day never showed up until 1 week later. Again, was not able to complete job. Made a mess as all cutting and sanding is done on property not in their own warehouse. 1 week later they came back again at 5:30 after many scheduled appointments that he never showed up for finished at 6:30pm. said there was a coating on the counter and the next day I needed to use vinegar and water to clean and it will shine. I tried and tried to clean but just would not shine in many areas as they were not properly finished, I call and was told he would be back the next day. All day long i would call and text no response until 5:30pm when he said he had an accident and would be back the next day. Same thing happened and now the excuse was his aunt had a stroke he would be back next day. Same thing happened and finally I said enough lying i contacted BBB and have not heard back from them since.

Unfortunately I did not get to use the $300 discount because this installer also sells discounted remnants and the remnant came at a greater discount than $300 and both discounts could not be applied for the same purchase. The owner did give me the additional $100 that I paid for the Angies list coupon off of the purchase price but it probably should be noted that anyone interested in using this supplier should check the availability and price of remnants before purchasing the Angies coupon since both cannot be used for the same purchase. Overall they were very nice and very professional although there was a bit of a language problem and I would be more careful in the future with exact measurements over the phone.

We recently purchased a quartz countertop from
Colonial Beach Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
. We were doing a complete kitchen gut and remodel and I was not satisfied with any granite colors and was intrigued by the durability of quartz. The sales rep,
Colonial Beach Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
, was very helpful in showing me the various slabs on site as well as the samples they had on display. I was able to use a similarly colored cabinet sample on site, and potential backsplash to make my vision come to light. Upon initial estimate, we thought one slab would do, but ended up needing two slabs which almost doubled the cost (not a complaint, just fact), I nearly backed out of my choice and went with granite, but decided to go for the more expensive product. I am so happy that I did. The product is beautiful and the installation/seaming is phenomenal. I don't know if that's part product, part installer, but I am so thrilled with the end result. Another reviewer commented on the damage to drywall at install, I too was surprised that part of the process was cutting into the drywall, and a "slamming" of the product in to get the right fit, but I will say that the installer confirmed that we'd be putting up a backsplash before doing anything to the drywall. The team did some cutting onsite to assure the fits were perfect (we had 3 separate pieces of the quartz for various countertops). While the team was not very verbal, they worked well together and almost had a dance going with simply hand signals most of the time. It seemed as if they'd worked together for awhile and new what they needed to do. As far as service, I have had regular contact w/
Colonial Beach Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
, and have been satisfied with how quickly he responds. We ended up having a delay to our install due to weather (snow), but he was quick to accommodate a reschedule based on what worked for us, and also sent me photos from the fabrication process as I had questions pre-install. I've only had the countertops for less than a week, so I'd need to report back if there were any issues unseen at this point, but I am very happy with how our countertops came out.

Working with
Colonial Beach Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
and
Colonial Beach Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
was wonderful. My wife and I reached out to several vendors and was quoted prices for half slabs but this was too much for what we needed. When we contacted
Colonial Beach Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
and
Colonial Beach Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
told us they have a wide range of reminisce that we could choose from. We arranged a time and met with
Colonial Beach Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
, sure enough they had what we were looking for. Shortly there after we set up a time and had they area measured, which was quick and pain less.
Colonial Beach Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
gave us a date when they would have the slab ready, which ended up being earlier than we expected. After the install my wife and I were extremely happy with the results. We will be using this company when we remodel the kitchen and the bathrooms..

Light sockets were left full of grout. They did no cleanup. Grout left on walls and glue on countertops. For the price I expected a finished job.

Colonial Beach Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
arrived on appointed day. He had made the base in the shop, but needed to finish in the house since the house is old and everything not particularly square. The plumber came and installed the sink. By 6 p.m. the work was done and the kitchen back in running order. The kitchen looks wonderful. He rounded corners and gave the counter top a very professional look.

I received A+ service from
Colonial Beach Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
. I met
Colonial Beach Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
, one of the co-owners, on my first visit. He was very friendly and helpful, not pushy like some sales people. The slab I liked the best was marked sold. In a follow up discussion with
Colonial Beach Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
, my brother found out that the sister to that slab was available.
Colonial Beach Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
gave it a rating of 11 on a scale of 1 to 10, and he was right.
Colonial Beach Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
held the slab for a few days until I could get there. Purchased it that day, and he held it for 5 months at no charge. Many companies my brother called on my behalf would not hold a slab longer than 30 days.
When my brother was visiting from out of town, they were kind enough to bring it out of storage so that he could see it. That day, we met Art
Colonial Beach Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
who spent considerable time with me us and provided invaluable advice about a new counter I was adding. He also provided other design suggestions on the backsplash and paint color, which I followed with great results. That was an extra bonus I didn't expect. So, if Art gives you advice, you should definitely take it.
The templater, Glauber (hope this is the correct spelling), was extremely detail oriented and communicated well with my carpenter and his assistant. He made a suggestion for the end cap of the new counter and the handrail behind it that made it a true work of
art.
Colonial Beach Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
(co-owner), with assistance from
Colonial Beach Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
(stone cutter), did a great job of deciding what parts of the stone would go where in my kitchen and fireplace. They have an amazing eye. I was so impressed by their finding parts of the slab in totally different areas that would best connect at the seams. The installers were terrific and that process went very smoothly. I have 2 seams that are barely noticeable. Their work in the kitchen and my fireplace surround was impeccable.
Colonial Beach Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
exceeded my expectations, and I'm very picky. My counters are a work of art.

They did a good job. Tiles are straight and evenly placed. Grout looks good, too. The kitchen was cleaned up and put back together as requested when they were finished.
