"I was very impressed with the entire experience. The prices are a little more than what you might pay at a "discount" Granite shop, but the service by" and far made up for it! The day we went shopping for our Granite (after looking at several other places), we found the style we wanted. We were told on the spot, that our style was on order and would be 3 weeks out. We were in no hurry, so that did not matter. However, we were pleasantly surprised when the granite came in just 10 days later! I was able to go out and approve the slab, and installation was set up for just a few days later. The installation crew was efficient, clean and very friendly -- they even fixed a mistake, that my husband made, on our center island! The day after the counter install, the plumbing was installed and ready to go. My kitchen looks beautiful!

"My husband and I had been shopping all over San
for granite, we joined Angie's list and I saw
's coupon" offer for granite installed, and it was a good price. I contacted
and asked him about purchasing a higher grade of granite and I had a lot of other questions for him.
was very prompt in returning my calls and answering my questions. It was a very busy time of year because it was the week before Thanksgiving and people were trying to get their new kitchens finished before the holidays. We chose our granite and
met with us at the granite supplier's warehouse and taped off the pieces for us. There was enough granite for our bathroom countertops. He also did my window sill at no charge.
and his team worked until 10:30 p.m. one night. They are courteous and hardworking. We appreciated his hard work. WE LOVE OUR COUNTERTOPS.

Artificial (quartz) is cheaper, more uniform, has fewer voids to collect dirt, and is almost as abrasion and chip resistant.

Granite is more expensive, stains and collects dirt a little easier as a rule, and is slighly more chip resistant as a rule.

For durability, I would not rate one over the other - barring a 250 lb guy hopping up on it and cracking it, either is likely to outlive you. Selection is typically based on appearance - quartz tends to be more uniform looking and does not always do a good job of simulating the veining and variations that natural stone has.

Now some of the man made stone counters rival the real granite and othe stones without the maintainence of stone. There are many of them out there and it is more a choice of looks than anything else. Corian is still a strong choice of tops today and one advantage is it can be repaired when scratched on site. If you don't mind the maintainence you can't beat the looks of real stone though unless you need a few pieces to make up the top as the graining may be hard to match up. I am impressed though at how realistic some of the man made products have become. It is more an issue of what brand are available in your area. Most all are made the same way with crushed stone and basically an epoxy binder used to make the sheets.

Countertop Installation reviews in Colonial Beach

It was fine! They completed the job in 10-12 weeks. The job took longer than expected, but it wasn't their fault.

The Service Provider came out to my house and they were very profestional, on time and they did a great job. I knew that there may be an extra cost for services but the provider actually did a larger area than I expected and therefore, the extra price was fine.

They originally gave me a contract to sign, but did not allow me to read over it or have a copy for myself. The
Colonial Beach Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
they installed look awful. The joints in the corners are completely off. They are different heights, and there are cracks and scratches in them. They look really bad. The man that came to install them told me there was a problem and he couldn't install them. I spoke with my contractor, who said they had already discussed it, and I would have to change it. The contractor and the installer were fighting, then they just ripped out the countertop. The installer was very stubborn, and said that everything suggested would not work. I finally told my contractor to just listen to him and do what needs to be done. The installer seemed to be ok with me, the homeowner, and started laying them out. They were supposed to be completed by December, but were not until February. I have called them and told them how bad they look now, and they just told me that there is nothing they can do, and that there is no warranty. I keep waiting to hear back from them, but have heard nothing.

Most of it was great but we had an issue with the back door that they replaced on the house. The door was not hung properly and the owner needs to come back out to fix it. He said that he was swamped because of the Angie’s List deal. I have called 3 times in the last month and we're still waiting. They went over and above and helped us with everything else and we are and just waiting on the door to be fixed at this point.
- Jason H.

They didn't use industry standards and cut the stone inside the house without tenting the room. Ever since I’ve had the granite installed, I have dust in the house that cannot be removed even though I’ve had the ductwork cleaned twice. The installer had a surly attitude and left a solvent on the backsplash. He told me that I could clean it myself. He also punctured some places on the wall without fixing it. I was disappointed. To this day, if I wipe my tabletops clean with a damp cloth, the next day there’s more dust. I’m sure it’s not healthy to breathe those particles. However, the countertops are beautiful, but the fact that the didn't abide by industry standards has resulted in dust particles in the house. This tainted the whole experience.
- Deborah P.

Day after initial talk over the phone we choose stone color on website, they come to our place took all measurements and give us estimated. We ware shown few different types of edges and sinks. Three days later our countertops ware ready. Installers come in the morning, all was done in three hours. Total price was as promised, no extra charges. Reliable, trustworthy people, job done perfectly

I checked out other local countertop installers and after researching, I called

for guidance. They made an appointment and arrived on time. After measurements and and a few questions, I had a quote. A few days later, they came and installed the new countertop and it matched everything else very well. The measurements were precise and accurate. Everything looks fantastic.
