"I spoke with
over the phone about my mower not starting, he said it needed a new carburator, quoted $80-$85 for a new carburator with pickup of lawn mower, that" seemed like a good price to get my mower fixed, he picked it up Saturday, he's closed Sunday and Monday, then on Tuesday morning I called to remind him to bring the old carburator, he said no problem (husband tells me to get all my old parts after repairs on my car why not the mower right) he brought the mower back that Tuesday afternoon, when I asked for the old carburator, he handed me a tiny pin and a round gasket and said these are the parts from rebuilding the carburator, I reminded him he quoted me a new carb for $80-$85, he said "oh no I never said that", a new carb would be $100, even at that I would have opted for a new carb for $15 more because he charged me $85 to rebuild, so much for my new carb, I asked what would cause a carburator to messed up on a new mower, it was working perfect all summer, and he said you can't leave them outside and gas has to be less than a month old, I asked
if the gas was good and he said he didn't see any water in it, I told him the mower was about 1 or 2 years old, hardly used and its always put inside the garage, he unloaded the mower and I had to ask him to start it for me, he started it right up, well I have a running mower so I paid him, several days later I go and try to start my mower and it won't start, I tried like 30 times, same exact problem, I call
and he says its like a car it could be a lot of things and started naming off engine parts like
, pistons and a lot of other mechanical stuff I can't remember, and said he could pick it back up and look at it, and said something about the carburetor, I told him I could not afford him to replace any of that stuff he told me, and would rather spend money on a new mower, he wanted to charge me to look at it again, he didn't even offer to look at to see if he had missed anything or to stand behind his work. I really don't like leaving a bad review for anybody, especially after they know were I live, and my husband being deployed, but the fact are the facts. My husband is a automotive master mechanic, that is deployed overseas serving our country, but will be home soon, thats why my husband subscribed to Angies list, for me to find reputable businesses so I wouldn't be taken advantage of while he's away and to share with other Angies list subscribers so we all find the best services. I didn't want bother my husband with all this being were he's at, but after all this he had some really good question everyone should know and ask them selves when getting things repaired. 1. How can you correctly quote a price for a repair over the phone without knowing what the problem really is, like
said it could be lots of things. 2. Say it is the carburator how do you know which carb to quote a price for without the brand, model and serial number. Google lawn mower carburetors, they range from $20 to over $200, There are hundreds if not thousands of mowers out there on the
, my husband has repaired landscaping equipment before and the parts supplier always needs the brand of the equipment, model number and almost always the serial number, just like at auto zone for your car, or parts to fix your
, washer, dryer or refrigerator, he just replaced the switch on his tactical flash light, and the manufacturer needed the model number and serial number, and thats just for a flash light on off switch. 3.Get your old parts from any repairs you have done, there yours, you paid for them originally and the new ones also, ask questions, where is the part located? how does it work? what went wrong with yours compared to the new one, take the old part apart and look it over if you want its already broken, your paying for there services why not learn a little about whats being done. 4. Get estimates in writing, if its going to cost more or theres a change in the work being done, like a rebuild instead of a new carburator, a
phone call or email to you for approval should be easy to make.

was very professional. He took the time to listen to my concerns and changed the spark plug while I was there. He said it would take 2 days and I was Shocked" that I received a call the NEXT day :). I went to a competitor last year and it took 1 week so I was thrilled!!! I will definitely go back to
since he is very affordable. I picked my mower up and
Jr showed me where they put the sealant and started the lawn mower up while I was there to ensure that it worked properly...They definitely have AWESOME customer service.

"I was very pleased with
. He responded promptly to my email requesting service, and we made an appointment at a convenient time. He arrived promptly for the" appointment. My string trimmer is several years old and had never been serviced. It had been running fine until recently, then it would start, but not stay running.
did the work at my house. He replaced the fuel filter and spark plug, and cleaned the carburetor. After the service the trimmer started and ran fine. I used it for about an hour without any problems, but then a problem running at high rpms. I called
and he came back. This time he cleaned the exhaust spark arrester which fixed the second problem. Even though this second problem was not related to my original problem,
charged me nothing for this second service. It was not a problem I had mentioned to
, nor did he experience it while performing the first service.I would have been willing to pay for the second service, since I don't think the problem was in any way related to the work
had already performed. I was very happy with
. He was prompt and friendly. He provided excellent service, and it was very convenient to have the work done at home, rather than having to take the trimmer somewhere. I will definitely use

They were WONDERFUL!! The day of the pick up it stormed, and there was a great deal of flooding and closed roads in the area, I really thought they would have to reschedule the pick-up time. He was there on time, and wasn't phased at all about the weather. :) They kept me informed on the progress, and delivered it to my backyard, putting the receipt where I would find it. (I had told them it was OK to leave it in back, I couldn't get off work). They locked the gate on the way out. Great service and will recommend!!

responded quickly and answered all questions.
We arranged for a pick up at my home and he showed up as planned.
The srop off went the same way and my machine was in good working order.
The costs were the same as the estimate and all was fine with me.
I will surely use him again!

He came on time, worked out of his very clean truck, and did the job in a little over an hour. So nice not to have to try to transport these two machines to a repair shop ourselves!

I called last Thursday to make an appointment and the woman who answered the phone said they would be in my area on Wednesday, so I scheduled it. I left the snow

outside in the driveway as instructed. I knew last winter it had been making a sound like it was laboring so I wasn't surprised when he said the carburetor needed to be replaced. After about 45 minutes it sounded good as new. Without the physical shop overhead, their prices seem pretty hard to beat. They had the carburetor and tools in the trailer so the only real difference is the snow

sat in my garage for a week waiting to be repaired instead of in the shop.

The repairman came to my home. He arrived on time. He diagnosed that it needed a new fuse. He replaced the fuse. He was fast and professional. The price was great for a house call.
