To stay in charge of your dental health, regular visits to your general dentist are recommended. If further issues arise, your dentist may refer you to a dental specialist.

TMJ

We typically associate dentistry with oral treatments designed to improve your smile. However, a more serious reason for people to visit a dentist is a temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ).

A+ I've been going to Dr.

's office for several years. He has a gentle chair side manner and takes his time to explains things effectively without ever seeming rushed. I never feel like they are trying to up sell me on non-needed cosmetic procedures which I've definitely felt at other offices I've been to. Insurance has always been handled for me without an issues. My children also go to this office and the doctor is very kid friendly. I would recommend this office to anyone.

I was dismayed in the end to find out that the removeable TMJ device was half of the price I paid for the permanent device I wore for 6 months, and really annoyed that they didn't come clean in the beginning and suggest I get the removeable device in the beginning, rather than charge me thousands for the first device, remove it 6 months later, then tell me I needed a removeable device to keep my bite aligned, both devices do exactly the same job. Only they wanted to charge me for both, when I could of had just the one on the first round, it was half the cost and I would still have it to use now. They care more about their income than your outcome! other that reason I don't trust their motives nor treatments and will not go there nor recommend them. They did fix my emergency though - but not without fleecing my pockets first - they took advantage of my situation. And, after the first 2 visits (you have to go every few weeks) they gave me a beginning dental assistant which I told them I did not want, because I have sensitive teeth and don't want someone learning on my mouth.

He is an excellent dentist. He is a little pricey. I went to high school with him and he loves people. He is an expert at TMJ. He went to the Capital and got legislation through for some kind of coverage for it. He did an incredible job. I've gone to him for years. He has incredible stories about the TMJ but I've never been treated for it. Sometimes I have to wait. They are so caring and they make me feel at home. I will be going again on Thursday. He made me a promise when I was 45 that I would never

A mouth piece (NTI) for the grinding was made and worked great. When it was time to be replaced (I had worn it out) it was mismeasured by the doctor and caused my upper two front teeth to be pushed forward and out of alignment. The doctor told me this was not noticable and did not need attention. Consequently the mouth piece no longer fits and wearing it only increased the degree at which the teeth protrude forward, so it does not do the job that was intended. He did not want to measure for a new one and directed one of the assistants to do so. Since the mouth piece had already been made once and remade due to a mismeasurment the first time, I would have had to pay to have another one made. I chose not to.
Cosmetically, when observing my current temporary cap/crown the doctor suggested veneers to match the teeth (as the crown is in the center of my smile). When I expressed my inability to finance the undertaking of veneers versus replacing the current temporary crown, the doctor lost interest in my situation and casually ended the appointment.

Dr. Nokkeo is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain options and treatments. He is easy to talk to both in person and on the phone. He is also willing to coordinate with you other doctors to make sure the patient is being taken care of. It has been easy for me to schedule appointments and the office staff have been very helpful.

Took a while to get an apptmt, but when I arrived I was taken back quickly and had a consultation with doctor including a recording of my facial tenderness. Then we had a straightforward talk on next steps and possibilities. I scheduled a follow up for 6 weeks later to see how his advice worked.

I was completely blown away by every aspect of my visit!!! Love this office so much I've set an appointment for my husband and have referred two friends there as well! I was able to get an appointment for a cleaning and first consultation within two weeks wheras I'm used to not being able to be seen for a month or longer as a new patient or existing at other offices. The night before my appointment the dentist himself, Dr

called me personally to ask if I had any questions or concerns about my first visit. The staff was so warm and welcoming I felt like I was coming to visit someone's family in their home vs. a dentist's office. They saw me quickly and offered me complimentary beverages. The visit took about two and a half hours, but it was well worth it. The fact that I didn't have to come back for a separate hygenist appointment was very nice. Dr

took his time and asked me what concerned me about my smile and came up with a comprehensive plan to address everything. They have state of the art technology and actually showed me my xrays and discussed everything he saw on them. First time I've ever experienced that! The hygenist was wonderful! She actually showed me the proper way to floss and things I can do everyday to protect my teeth. She was kind and gentle. I felt totally comfortable. The office also took photos of my face to see how my teeth look everyday to be able to show me what can be done to improve my smile. I cannot say enough great things about this office and trust them completely!
