From Angie's List recommendations called this practice seeking an appointment with Dr.

only to learn he had sold the practice to Dr.

as of 1 January 2011. Telephone receptionist (who also handles front desk reception in this small preactice) was very friendly and efficient and was able to schedule me within a few days of my initial call. I was their first appointment of the day. Arrived 15 minutes early with most forms completed; had additional non-disclosure and insurance forms (both blessedly expressed in plain English) to complete upon arrival. Was immediately seen by nursing staff for initial physical screening such as weight and blood pressure then moved to exam room. After many years of working with a bureaucratic, paper-bound family practice staffed by indifferent personnel, it was refreshing to be seen by a staff and the doctor who worked efficiently and move about seamlessly with laptops as they asked questions/took down my responses. Doctor was very professional although a bit distant but he took lots of time asking questions to understand my medical history. Staff was very friendly but had to poke around in both arms to find a

suitable for drawing blood and then had to return to administer a fingertip puncture to draw additional blood for a lipids test. Overall I would rate this a very positive visit. The front office experience was excellent. The staff gave good attention and tried hard but I scored them down one notch in 'bedside manner' for mishandling the drawing of blood. The doctor apparently is new to the area (he seemed vague when asked about his personal knowledge of the specialists he recommended) but gave me lots of his time and was careful and precise with his observations and recommendations. Compared to my previous experience with another family practice in Centreville I give this group very high

I have known her for a long time. As a nurse, I have found her to be excellent with patient care and very knowledgeable. She is easy to speak with, is very honest, and takes her time with me.

I have been going to him for a long time. He is very well known. I know that he is not taking any new patients now. I have been going for a few years and I had to go through this. I kept asking him anyway and eventually he did take me in as a patient. I don't know how old he is. He must be at least 60 and he may be getting close to retirement. I am not too sure. He is a good doctor but if somebody is looking for a new doctor, I don't think he is going to take them on. I will continue to use him in the future.

My experience with her has been very good. I have been seeing her for over fifteen years. She provides what I think is a sensible level of care. She doesn't give you tests hat aren't needed. She follows a medically conservative rational when she provides care. I couldn't get a hold of my orthopedic surgeon so she called him herself and got me in immediately because she thought it was serious. She didn't have to do that.

I do have to wait sometimes once I am there for appointments, which is no different from other primary care practices. She is very warm and competent. She is always current on research and new technology. I will continue to see her in the future and would recommend her to others.

I feel she takes the time to listen. She gives me options and keeps me informed on new technology in the medical field and what we could try. I feel as though she is actually hearing me. She prescribes what I need and doesn't prescribe me things I don't need. I feel like she knows me. They have a staff of many nurse practitioners who are also available in cases of emergency or if she is out. They have all been very good also. She is very good with geriatric patients.
