OLD SCHOOL SERVICE AND VALUE!!!
has earned a new customer in me...here's the story...
Auto shops get a bad rap because some of them are run by crooks, period. I was unlucky once to run into such a place. I went there for an AC charge, got talked into struts...was promised OEM stuff (not what I got)...and one lie
to another...almost sued them.
has renewed my faith in independent shops.
My car is a 2001 Toyota Avalon that I treat like gold. When it needed a timing belt and a new axle, I brought it to
. Got sick of traveling to Precision Toyota in Tucson. After the initial belt replacement, the "check engine" light remained on. And the car had some major pulling issues after the axle replacement. I thought to myself, "Here we go again with independent mechanics..."
Well, I came in and got to know
...who gave me a free rental for a couple days over the weekend in case there were any safety issues (Initial work was on 7/18/14, completed 7/21/14). The following Monday, I talked with
, the shop manager, who had highly touted the shop and their head mechanic,
. I was not real happy...and she could appreciate my problems...first time in and it seemed to all go wrong.
Then they showed the "old school magic".
found out the reason the check engine light was coming on. The belt they had put in had a slightly different calibration from the original Toyota belt...at least for my model and year. So, they got the authentic one and reinstalled it. Problem solved!!
The pulling issue remained...and there were some weird noises too. All of this got worse AFTER he put in a new axle. This really peaked my skepticism. It turned out to be pure coincidence. After some clever thinking by
and
, they checked my strut mounts. Sure enough, there was the problem!!!
The crook that did my struts years ago? He supposedly replaced those, but he didn't. No problem,
put in new ones, replacing both the strut mounts in the front. All the noise and pulling?? COMPLETELY GONE!!!
My Avalon is back to the way it used to be. They found a problem that had been bugging me for years...getting progressively worse...and the Toyota dealers had no clue!!!
You can guess where I bring my car from now on....
!!! If you want old school service...to get treated like family...you just come here!!! You will be very glad you did!!
and his crew are top notch!!! A breath of fresh air, old school treatment in a world that doesn't seem to understand what that means anymore. Thank you,
,
and
!!!

I have used
twice in
and once in West Sac. Each time they have been efficient, polite, and professional. I will look to them first for my next
check. They can process the DMV renewal for a fee. This is not true of all
sites.

runs a professional, one-man shop. I have used him for all kinds of services, from timing belts to brakes. He does his work well, reliably, and at reasonable cost. He's the best in the valley as far as I'm concerned.

Honest and customer-friendly:
Bill Nibur was recommended by my neighbors - he lives in our town and has quite a following here, it appears. At any rate, my diesel's glow plug warning light started blinking while my teenage son was driving thecar. I decided that this was a problem serious enough to have the car towed to Bill's shop. Bill told me someone would look at the car immediately upon its arrival and he would get back to me with a diagnosis. Within a few hours Bill did get back to me to let me know what he thought the problem was and that it was a

fix and that he spent almost no time on it and therefore would not be charging me for
it! Zero! I think you could say that this mechanic is honest.
And, after telling me that, he told me he would have two of his guys drive my car back to my house, which they did by the end of the day! Apparently, he often does this for my neighbors. Not sure if I should be sharing that info widely, because we don't want to

The waiting room is airconditioned and very clean the staff and mechanics are nice and seem very fair .I don't feel im being taken advantage of when im there the way i have felt in the past at other mechanics. I have taken my car there a few times in the past 14 months and everytime i do i feel that i am getting good service and a good deal .I would recommend this shop to anyone seeking car repair shop ,they also have other auto service needs.

I called in advance to see if they were very busy, and they said they could get me in within 10-15 minutes. I went right over and they talked with me right away to square away the paperwork. I was out the door 20 minutes later, so they were able to service my car even sooner than they had promised. This was the second time I used them, and both times were efficient, courteous, and inexpensive.

For years we've had our car serviced at a nearby garage, but they charge the same price as the dealerships charge. A friend had a repair on her car at
Blue Ridge Motor Vehicle Inspection Provider Name Locked
last year and they seemed really good, so I called for a price on upcoming service on my car and they quoted me a price that was considerably less than what I was expecting, so I had the work done there. Nice people, the car was finished earlier than promised, and saved me money! I will definitely take my car there from now on.

Well my current trusted mechanic retired and these bannanas bought their customer list and pitched themselves pretty aggressively. Of course I should have learned by now that any shop that markets heavily is not a good choice for loss-leading PA inspection shake down business. But I gave it a try, and was tempted to leave when there was no one at the front desk when I arrived for my scheduled appointment, and a prominent notice that any car removed from the premises would be required to pay a $22 reinspection fee. So I wasn't really surprised when they informed me by phone that my 2001 V70 would require $1,700 of brake and exhaust work to be safe enough to operate further on PAs carefully manicured highways. I thanked them for their diligence, but elected to get a second opinion. So today my old decrepit Swede sailed through at a different shop after merely replacing a burned out turn signal.
So I give these guys a D instead of F, because this has happened to me at other shops in previous years and what is really fatally flawed is PAs messed-up safety inspection system. Surely if something is really a safety issue in need of repair then two mechanics should be able to independently identify the alleged 'issue'. I have registered cars in 7 states now, and nowhere else do mechanics have the power to hold consumers' inspection hostage to repairs that they themselves are prescribing. How such an obvious conflict of interest could be codified could only happen in a state that refuses to sell beer except by the case!
