"I was impressed that they didn't just replace the gutters and downspouts, but realized that our old configuration didn't work, and changed the location of downspouts to better drain water.

-Patricia K.

"The process went very well. They were punctual, professional and very pleasant to work with. They did a great job. The gutters look very nice and handle storms" so much better than the previous gutters.

Two notes #1 20 feet is going to cost you more per foot that 100 feet.  #2 All prices are relative to Your market ie Omaha is less expensive than St Lious.  Here expect to pay on the 100 foot job $5 to $6 per foot of gutter (5" aluminum) plus the $4 to $5 a foot for the downspouts and $15 to $20 for soffit and facsia covering ie vinyl soffit panels and painted or vinyl clad aluminum covering the fascia.  In the trade a soffit & fascia job.

Unless you are constructing a French Drain (dry well filled with rock or debris and no exit) style system you use a non perforated system.  Cut the plastic flush on the angle where it daylights if the slope is great enough,  If you need it river rock can be used to construct a dry riverbed type drainage ditch out from the daylighted drain.

Short answer: It's up to you. Many home remodeling contractors, including exterior remodelers, don't expect a tip since they've already provided a set price within the contract, but if you really feel that they've gone above and beyond, you may feel obliged to tip them. Angie herself answered a very simliar question in a recent column: Should I tip my remodeling contractor?

Not knowing what type of eaves (the lower edge of the roof) you had before the new soffits were intalled I have to guess what might have happened. If you had closed eves (no soffits, just rafter tails with blocking between) before as was done on some older homes it is possible they removed or drilled holes through to the attic. When this was done there should have been a baffle installed to direct the air flow up and over the insulation. This would only be possible for the soffit installer to do if the wood blocking was removed and not just had holes drilled in it. If the insulation contractor did not go all the way to the exterior wall that could very well be the cause or it he did not make sure the insulation was pushed down to make contact with the ceiling material. If the house was never cold before I would bet the problem is at the eaves. You should call the insulation company for an answer.

The ice build-up in the gutter should not, provided they are properly attached and solid, rip out the gutter.

When you get snow slides and large chunks of frozen precip that let go and slide down the roof with velocity, those are what tear off the gutters and create damage.

If you are concerned about the snow load, a snow rake and/or a proper roofer can remove some of the accumulated snow.

Some ice damming is unavoidable in the correct conditions but I would urge you to look into proper ventilation of the roof and air sealing and insulation.  This will reduce your home's inclination to form these ice dams in the future.

Gutter Installation reviews in Salt Lake

They provided good service and were punctual. I thought we would have a better deal value, but the end result was good.
- Gloria R.

I called on a Friday afterwork, they had a estimator out the next on a Saturday. He measured and within a week I had new gutters. Every other company I called had a extremely long wait times of over 6 weeks. Was happy they could get out right a way since I tend to get water in my basement and the gutter was completely off the house do to the harsh winter.
- Anthony P.

They showed up and finished the primary work in under 3 hours. There was some minor wood rot in the facia board, which they replaced at no additional cost, and it was done very well. These guys were great!! Very professional and friendly service, too!
- Steve K.

On 9/21/15, I asked for an estimate for replacement of two portions of my roof. I received a voicemail from the person doing measurements on 9/23/15 advising me to call him back if I had questions. Since there was some confusion as to what I was asking to be done, I called him back and left a voicemail, asking for a callback. I did not receive a return call. I received a call from another person from the company on 9/24/15, advising they had an estimate ready for me. I asked for the estimate to be emailed, but was advised that they wanted to go over it with me in person. I asked if this could be done after 5:00 pm, that I was busy with close week at my job. I was told the meeting needed to be during business hours. I arranged for the person to come to my home at 8:00 a.m. on 9/29/15. I called in the late afternoon of 9/28/15 to confirm the appt at 8:00 a.m. of the following day. I was informed that they were just about to call me to ask if they could move the appt to 9/30/15. I advised I could do that, but it needed to be earlier than 8:00 a.m. due to a busy work schedule. The company advised someone would be out on 9/30/15 at 7:30 a.m. On the morning of 9/30/15, I received a call from the person on his way to my home advising he was stuck in traffic. This person arrived around 7:45. The estimate the person gave me was for the entire roof, not for the two portions I wanted replaced. The person tried to sell me on the opinion that I needed an entire new roof. I advised that I only wanted the two portions done, and that I tried to clarify that with the measurement person who never returned my call. The person advised he would have to have a new estimate worked up. I advised I needed it very quickly, as I needed to make a decision soon. He advised that it wouldn’t take long, that he will work on it that morning. I called back in the afternoon of 9/30/15 asking the status of my estimate. The woman I spoke with said she would check on it and get back with me. I never received a call back after that. On 10/1/15, when I still had not heard from the company, I “moved on”. I wasted hours of my time and never received an estimate.

My husband and I were happy with the punctuality, quality and cost of the job. They came on time and completed each task quickly and beautifully. We think the price was very reasonable. We love the way the new gutters look with our new house stain. We would recommend them and use them again.

responded immediately to my request for a quote and the time from my initial request to completion of the work was only about 1 week. I had one other quote for the work for comparison. The other guy was a bit cheaper but they were only going to replace our current system, which wouldn't fix our problem of water pooling right next to the house and also running into our garage whenever it rained moderately hard (causing mold damage).

assessed the design and recommended larger gutters and a different placement for one or more of the downspouts. He was very friendly, professional and responsive to our needs and requests. We have since had a few "torrential downpours" as well as hail, and not one drop has spilled out of the current gutters. Works like a charm and we are resting easy knowing we won't have a water damage issue related to a poor gutter system. Oh, and they actually look really nice too!
- Tiffany R.

We needed to replace our new gutters and get water barrels.
I called to schedule an appointment and the girl that answered the phone
said that they do not service my area which is Tujunga, CA 91042.
I asked her if they serve the Los

I was puzzled so I called again an older lady answered the call, I told her that I wanted to make an appointment and she asked me
where did I live and I said Tujunga and she reply did you just called. "we do not service Tujunga is too far"
but clearly they list that "
