"Excellent. Mr.
is very knowledgable and professional. Easy to talk to and ask questions. Our new house is very cold, and we are refilling" our oil tank frequently. He went from basement to attic, inspecting the mechanicals, duct work, and insulation. Used infrared and did blower door test. Helped us solve a potentially dangerous situation with our outdoor AC compressor. In about 1 week, he provides a comprehensive home energy audit report, with point by point recommendations for improvement (including cost estimate), and his short list of recommended contractors. We will be contacting the contractors soon for estimates. We also employed his expertise in our prior home a few years ago. After following his recommendations, our home energy use became dramatically more efficient, and cut our monthly oil bill nearly in half. enthusiastically recommended. No reservations whatsoever.

"They were very thorough and professional. Kept everything very clean while going up through second floor of house. Would absolutely use them again should we decide" to insulate in other area. So very easy to work with.

Home Energy Audits

One thing homeowners can do to save on energy costs is to have a home energy audit conducted. This will reveal where drafts are entering from outdoors and where insulation is ineffective. Energy auditors can also recommend upgrades in appliances to save energy.

Energy Audit reviews in Ogden

Really great work and professional service. The operations manager/salesman, Nick, was knowledgeable and candid in his assessment of our insulation situation. Very thorough too. We had three different contractors come over and the only one I had full confidence in was
Ogden Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
, due in large part to Nick's detailed explanation of the science behind insulation work. Highly recommended. Admittedly, it was more than we hoped to spend, but with a project like this I'm of the mind that it's better to pay more for a great job than pay a little for an OK job.

It went great! The technician was very knowledgeable and saved me a lot of money on my energy bill. I would definitely recommend this company!

is very knowledgeable and personable. He inspected the house with particular attention to the attic in our older home. He recommended attic insulation as the most cost-effective way to improve our energy efficiency. We accepted his bid and his team of 2 workers finished the job in about 1/2 day. Workers cleaned up area nicely. Since it was January, we actually noticed a difference in the master bedroom/bath area right away, with a change from R-18 to R-49. Rooms no longer feel cooler than the rest of the house.

We were concerned about dust infiltration into house. He set up a frame inside open front door covered with plasticized cloth with a hole for the blower fan, secured cloth around fan and started the fan blowing outside creating a negative pressure inside. He went around house with infrared camera finding places where air was leaking in from outside around doors and windows and around heating duct outlets. He pointed out where weather stripping was leaking around doors and windows. He found that the heating duct outlet registers were leaking and needed to be caulked, and on one that may be leaking in the duct above the ceiling. He recommended covering the inside of the window frames with clear plastic(the cheapest solution, rather than replacing the windows[ $10,000]). Also, replacing the leaking door sweeps(under doors) and tightening or replacing door seals. He suggested having the duct work above the ceiling on one heater outlet checked for leaks. He e-mailed a report early the next day detailing all of his tests and suggestions. We felt he did a through job, in an efficient manner, in a short period of time. We are very satisfied with the service and are starting to implement his suggestions.

Scheduling was fine. They were prompt and professional. Two men arrived for the appointment and one stayed to complete the job. My experience was okay overall. However, I did expect more from them. I was looking for situations more as conducting the efficiency of the heating and cooling unit and testing for leakage. They explained that I should weather strip the doors and windows. They completed what was included in the deal. However, I had expected more to be inspected through this audit.

The technician was on time, polite and extremely knowledgeable. He identified several problem areas in the attic and sent us a written report suggesting solutions. We still haven't decided which items are highest priority for us so we haven't scheduled further work at the time of this review.
- Susan M.

It wasn't that helpful. I was expecting something different than what it was. They looked around the house and told me what he could do to improve it. All I really wanted was someone to created thermal images, so I could review the images and decide what I could do myself. I was never given any images. I rate this as a "C" mainly because it wasn't what I wanted.

I contacted HPH for an energy audit and for an estimate on the insulation of part of my bedroom that is built over a porch and gets very cold. After the audit they told me that it would have been more cost effective to improve the attic insulation. They were right. The difference is substantial, we now actually hang out in the master bedroom, it was just unthinkable before.
They also submitted all the paperwork for the HPwES rebate offered by BGE so we just got a $2000 check that made the deal a lot better.
I cannot say if they are the cheapest since I did not ask for any other bid, but they sure are good at what they do.
They were always ready to answer any question and impeccably professional.
I definitely recommend them.
