and his wife came out and gave us an estimate and even gave us addresses of other work they said they had done and we drove by to look at them. We were satisfied and agreed to let them ...more do the work. The problem was that they did not shore up one side of the drive near the porch, and it cracked off in just a few weeks. It is now about 4-5 inches lower then the porch it was attached to. Then the entire new driveway began cracking, so badly that it looks worse than the one we had them take out. I called them repeatedly that first year, only to be told that they would be out "next Tuesday," or "next week," or "right away." Needless to say, none of those days ever came. I never saw any of them again. They also did not clean up pieces of concrete which I kept picking up for over a year. They were very nice people to talk to, they just did not do what they said they would do, and I am truly ashamed of the way our drive looks now and I do not have the money to have another one put in. When I DO get the money, it will certainly not go to

about six weeks to get started but once they did, they did a great job. The driveway goes down to my garage, which is under the house. The slant for water run-off seems perfect and there is no standing water. The edges are smooth and straight. I would recommend this provider.
"prompt, courteous and professional from start to finish. This was not an easy job due to the location and terrain. It looks great and they were even able to save the invisible fence that crosses the parking pad. I would definitely use them again.
", OWe met with them for an estimate on repaving part of the driveway at one

"After the estimate, the crew came in a few days to level the area and put the forms in. The next day they put in the concrete, One gentleman stayed behind and got the concrete looking perfect. "Construction drive seemed adequate, builder had no issues.
Quoted 8 hours for excavation, went over by 4 hours, so builder had us pay the difference, this should have been first red flag.
Over billed by approximately 3 times his quote for soil removal. He had the
to attempt to explain it to us, I suppose thinking we were morons. ...more He stated, you never know, sometimes there's just more dirt in the hole than you planned for. 30 seconds on the internet and I found a excavation calculator that gave exact value to within 5% of his final number.
The overcharge was blatant, but to add insult to injury we had a couple of landscapers quote to install the lawn, all state about 20 yards of dirt, PLUS 30 yards of topsoil! So now I get to pay to have the dirt brought back that he removed.
The over charge was significant, over $3000 more than we expected. When we asked for a compromise, he was not willing, stated his charges were fair.
"Based on his great Angie's List reviews, I contacted Mr.
for an estimate on replacing a concrete driveway apron which over many years had cracked and was looking unattractive. He responded very quickly and came and gave and inspected the project. I also asked him to estimate repairing a concrete step on my back staircase ...more which with our past wretched winter had suffered a corner fracture.
He again responded promptly with a bid which I found completely reasonable and I asked him to proceed with scheduling. Anyone who has done any sidewalk work with the city of

walked us through this process (OK, he actually did all of the work. All we had to do was sign a couple of papers). It just takes some time.
We then didn't hear from him for a little while. He did eventually send an email apologizing and telling us that he had been extremely ill and hospitalized and was slowly recovering and that if we wanted to get someone else to do the work, he completely understood. We weren't in a rush and we wanted the work done well, so we told him we didn't mind waiting.
That was a very wise decision. His work was truly remarkable. The driveway apron of course, is just that. I don't expect it to be a work of art, but what it was was perfectly constructed. He kept everything very tidy and he always kept us in the know. It turned out very, very well. He's very proud of his work (as well he should be) and on the final day of his concrete work, a distracted runner came by the house on the sidewalk and somehow paid no attention to the tape around the apron saying, "keep off" and ran right into the fresh concrete.
was upset. He brought the runner to our door and the poor guy was so sincerely apologetic that we let it pass.
told us we might always notice the repaired area. It was a little darker for a few weeks, but I'd be hard-pressed to pinpoint it now and anyone who does notice it needs to get a life. He did a great job with the runner shoe repair.
Moving onto the stair step, this outdoor staircase was put in a few years ago at huge expense (not by

fixed this so well that there is no way anyone could identify that anything had ever happened. He spent days on this, each day making a small change. It's an amazing repair. Thank you. Sincerely.
He's also a very, very nice man. I always get a little concerned that when I write a glowing review that the tradesman will get so busy that I'll never be able to get him back for future work. If that happens, he deserves it. As I said earlier, waiting for him to recover from his illness was time well spent. "
"I would like to write a glowing review, but I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the lack of professionalism and response concerning addressing the 3 LONG cracks in my driveway - that was poured on 9/28/2013. I noticed the cracks in late February (5 months later) and called. I called again in March, April, May.
