misjudged the original wood, it was not solid pecan as we thought but a veneer. After offering to sand it down his man,
, said he didn't think he could do it. Of course this was after we had emptied the entire downstairs of our home.
had ripped up the bad wood and examined it but didn't realize it was was too thin to sand. I was disappointed, now I have a empty downstairs, torn wood up to foundation around the fireplace and a crew who says they aren't going to work. I just asked them to leave.
offered to help move back furniture.
2. My husband suggested they buy pecan replacement wood and where it was too thin to just replace those pieces.
agreed and said what a great idea.
returned begrudgingly to sand. The replacement pecan was too thick so they had to sand it down and replace wood by fireplace. Its now slightly higher and lower, but not super noticeable. They stained the floors and did not replace any spots where the sanding was too thin. So now the stain is different colors where pine base shows through.
suggested I go with satin varnish that appears flat. Through all of this we couldn't walk on floors and see anything in detail, the varnish is way too thin and the floors scratch if you look at them. Its like they are not finished at all but raw wood. We were willing to overlook the uneven flooring as once you put furniture on it most people won't notice, right? Big mistake we paid him knowing there were finishing details still undone.
3. Finishing details. An absolute F. Quarter round cut unevenly. Finishing trim around stone hearth mismatched wood. Uneven cuts, horrible craftsmanship. Uneven butting up to wall.
agreed it was unacceptable but
was always unavailable to fix. After multiple tries he comes and puts in a piece of rough wood that doesn't line up. Therefore we go buy proper wood and ask him to use our wood and fix. He missed 3 deadlines to arrive without any phone calls. This was a regular occurrence with them.
conveniently forgets details that are written in text message to him. Not respecting others schedules, showing up unannounced on a Sunday evening during a dinner event and walking out when my husband was talking to someone and we asked him to wait. They kept our wood we bought.
4. We hired another service to complete the finishing work. Now that looks tons better than the entire flooring. We are highering someone to seal the floors in the short term. We will soon be replacing our entire downstairs with new wood. A nightmare project, lots of time, hassle and money all wasted. Wish I had $2600 + wood we bought-twice, workmen to fix the trim, re-stain around fireplace where flooring doesn't meet the trim, reseal the floors to protect them, to put towards my new floors!

We had a 25 year old fireplace hearth and surround and wanted to update it. We went into the
store in
Land and was greeted by
the store manager. He was very cheerful, professional and polite. We know what we wanted to do but did not know how and with what materials. With a lot of help by
, we were able to pick the granite and stone we like. We were concerned about the transition from the floor to the hearth. We were going to have
install new floors after the fireplace was completed and did not like how the normal transition was done.
told the time to listen and even called the installers to talk about options. He assured us that what we wanted could be done to our satisfaction.

The fireplace work was scheduled for three days but took only one. The installer was very professional and polite. We expressed our wishes about how we wanted the fireplace to look and he took the time to listen and went to great effort to meet our needs. The fireplace looks great. It looks even better that we imagined it would.
The company has a lifetime guarantee on all installations. Right after the floors were installed (floor review is separate) we noticed a small piece of rock popped out of the stone surround. I called
and it was repaired promptly. It looks great. In past years, we ignored the fireplace because it was boring and plain looking. Now it is the focal point of the room. It looks really great. Should have done this years ago.

I was not impressed. The guy didn’t want to talk to me. He did look through some of the old records to see if I could still get the existing pergo floors. I had used them in the past, but I did not feel the comfort zone there. I would not use them in the future.

Contracted Bayou City to remodel kitchen - custom built cabinets, floors, appliances, installing granite counter tops and backslash. They acted as the general contractor for work outside their expertise. What began as a kitchen remodel turned into a master bath redo, replaced 4 existing french doors that had rotted on the bottom. We also raised a portion of the ceiling in the kitchen which involved rerouting of the plumbing. The entire house was repainted. Bayou City Stoneworks kept in constant contact , checking on the progress of his subcontractors daily. I knew that any problem we encountered would be approached with professionalism and in a timely manner. We have no negative feedback whatsoever on any portion of the work and would highly recommend them to anyone.

They were well-recommended but when we talked to them we liked the principal of the company. They came out and explained what they were going to do and it worked out really well. I would recommend them. We looked at three companies and I think they were the priciest but they were well worth it.

I got three solid contractors, and I liked him the most, so far. He has been the most responsive too. He is very professional, in the sense that he has a number of companies that do business with him. You normally

?t have a general contractor that is capable of doing everything but he apparently is capable. He has had every single one of the sub-contractors, 4 in all, to come by, look at the house and do the evaluation of the piece that they have to do. They went back, and subsequently, he has submitted a very professional quote. It is very detailed with the amount of work that needs to be done clearly listed under each section. It is all added up correctly. Depending on the discussions that are to happen today and how the new quote looks, it is quite possible that I would hire him.

did a great job in my home. I would refer them to anyone. They did a very neat job. I was impressed that they made sure that the new floor matched the old existing floor. They were professional. I feel that I received quality workmanship and products for the price that I paid.

The company came out, and estimated the cost of new hardwood floors. They were very responsive, and did a very professional job. They had a very nice, and clean shop. I was extremely pleased with the quality of work. They have several shops around the Houston area, I am sure they all do a great job.

employees worked quickly and were in and out in two days to complete the project. I had them came back and fix a few minor flaws, which they did at no cost. I have used this company for over ten years and I will continue to use them whenever I need new flooring installed.
