"I was looking for a crusier type bike for myself to be able to ride comfortably when my wife rides her bike.
our salesperson, was extremely helpful, patient, and knowledgable. He spent quite a bit of time helping with this decision, ...more offering suggestions and ideas that I would not otherwise thought of. Two weeks later, the seat just didn't feel right. I stopped by and they told me to bring the bike in and they help determine a fix. The next day, I took the bike back and
quickly helped with another seat. Within 15 minutes I was trying this out. He mentioned that if this did not work that I might want to consider riding pants that has a cushion that might help. Not only did he provide great customer service but after I took my trial ride, he came out and loaded the bike into my SUV. While making my initial purchase we saw several customers come in and all were treated the same way. This is why I will go back for any of our biking needs. One great team at the Trek store in
and one great sales person -

"Even though the bike shop indicated that they fixed the bike and performed a tune up, I experienced another flat upon riding the bike home. I took the bike to another bike shop that confirmed that the bike needed a new rim strip and that the previous ...more bike shop (
) should have replaced the rim strip. After finding out this news, my wife called the manager at
who was unfortunately very rude and not responsive to the concern that they did not adequately repair the flat / fix the bike. She then asked for the owner (
) to call her and speak with her about the issue. The owner never called back and when my wife called again and spoke with him, he was also very rude and ended up hanging up the phone on her. Both my wife and I want to be very supportive of local bike shops, but unfortunately, the
does not provide good customer service nor proper bike repair services. In light of this, I would strongly recommend that people avoid taking their bikes or purchasing items from this bike shop. "

, are extremely attentive to their customers and know the bike business inside and out. They go above and beyond what is expected. I just moved to the area and had unexpected company coming to visit Florida from Canada. I wanted the visit to be nice and be able to ride bikes together. They ...more serviced the bike quickly even though it was just prior to a very busy 4th of
weekend for them. The bike rides better than it EVER did and we had a perfect visit with our company being able to ride bikes together! Thanks
"I'm leaving one star, because no stars is not an option. The $450 "coaching plan" is the topic for this review. I don't know about the other "plans" but I consider taking money for this "plan" unethical, because what they do is copy and paste from pre-written workouts, there's nothing personalized about ...more it. I pretty much got an automated feed for the entire three months of the same ride suggestions over and over even after cutting them off after the first month, when I realized they were copying and pasting workouts that were clearly written for someone else, since they had personal comments in them not written for me.
Their advertising hype says they coach "all levels and abilities" but don't buy into (no pun intended) that, because the coach I got for mountain biking took one look at me and decided I wasn't a podium contender. I could see it on his face, it was a look like he couldn't be less interested. In fact he hardly looked at me when I walked up to meet him in Starbucks for the one-hour consultation, which Ionly got because I brought it up. Originally he emailed me "as soon as we receive your money, I'll put the plan up on Training Peaks." There was nothing about the one hour consultation until I brought it up, and he obviously didn't even want to be there when we met. All of the big money clients he has I'm sure will disagree, because he's making a lot of $$ off of them, so why wouldn't he give them the royal treatment? The $450 plan however, was one where (he ASSumed) there would be no ongoing income stream, so just get the money, go through the motions and then write it off. I was supposed to get a one-month check in with the "coach" (he's too busy promoting himself on facebook, managing his own team and competing in his own events to have time to coach beginners) --at the one month I got zero. No call, no email
. Five weeks into it, after I'd paid another chunk of change for his skills clinic, during the clinic as he rode past he asked "how's it going" and I said "this plan is not comprehensive enough" and as he was riding off leaving me in the dust he said, "just follow the plan, it works." So that feedback pretty much just got ignored and brushed off.
After a month of getting into it, I realized there is so much more to training for a race than a cut and paste riding schedule (written for someone else :o) and yet he didn't suggest anything else because he really didn't want to coach me. I brought this up with the owner and asked for a partial refund, because I felt like I got ripped off, and he lied and told the owner he HAD suggested a more involved coaching plan. Last time I looked, I didn't have a poor memory, and I consider this another unethical act. If you're a beginner and just getting into racing, and want a REAL coaching experience, instead of a cut and paste "sucker born every minute" plan, go with CTS. If you have some weird fetish for throwing money away and getting the least value for your money, go with
. And let's face it, most of us don't have $450 to throw away. That's what irks me more than anything. "
"I bought a $589.00 Trek Bike on May 9th 2014 at the New Trek Bicycle Store of
- off of
Road. It was one of the worst Customer
Experiences and Purchasing Decisions, I have ever made. The Sales
Representative (Angie) was rude, uninformed, and lacked basic knowledge in the
brand, ...more models, and styles of the different bicycles on display. Unfortunately-
I purchased the Trek Bike, and had to wait an hour and a half for a Tune-up. I
spoke with (
) who works in the service and repairs shop, that I would be
going to lunch, and when I return the bike would be finished with the Turn-Up. When I returned from lunch (Angie) and (
indicated that the bike was ready & done with the completed Tune-Up.
Anytime –you purchase a New Bike –you want to take it out
for a spin when you get home. So it was to my surprise, the air in the tires
was not adequate (recommends 60-80 psi) it had 25psi, the brakes were loose,
and there were several screws not tightened. I called the branch location, and
said there was a “lack of communication” of why the bike had
not been serviced. I asked them how it could be a “lack of communication” when
you said it face-to-face…Anyways they finally admitted they lied to me.
I have called the District Manager at Trek Bike (
) several times. No response. I also called the corporate office and
finally spoke to (
Bird) after several attempts. He mentioned that issue would be resolved and
I would receive a Tune-Up.
Bird hasn’t followed through with his promise.
Bottom Line- these people
’t give a s***.
Its companies like (Trek Corporation) that gives other Big Businesses poor reputations of the typical Stereotype of “I
’t give a s*** about the Customer”
My recommendation- support the Local Bicycle Stores.
"I bought my whole bike into this shop yesterday, thinking they would be backlogged and I would need to leave it with them. There was a gentleman working on a back with his back to me. I said hello and he stopped what he was doing to ask how he could help. I said I was dropping my bike off. He said, "well, is it something I can fix now for you?" ...more I don't know much about bikes, but the rear tire was flat. He said he'd do it right then, replace the tube, and get me on my way. I couldn't believe it. 5 minutes later I was out of there and I have my bike working again. I heard him tell a younger trainee, "if a customer walks up to the counter, they always come first over any other work that is going on". I was impressed, and will be going back indefinitely for my biking needs. "
"We had 3 bike but only needed 2. We expected to drop off all three, have them look at them, and make recommendations for repairs, etc. But we got all 3 looked at right away. Two only needed minor things tightened, aligned, etc, and the third got an estimate for repairs. The estimate was broken down into each different thing that needed to be fixed. ...more We opted to just donate the last bike and keep the other two. The donation is tax deductible. Doesn't cost anything to donate but they ask for a $5 donate to help offset costs with donation. Very friendly and helpful staff. It was a little ways away for us but definitely worth it. "
"These guys are great! Appointments usually made within a few days, and working around school day schedule. My son is h****** his bike, and always beating it up! They have changed out flat tires and brakes a few times for us. The best is that they come to you with all the parts needed for the repair - and fix it on the spot. Service cost is reasonable, ...more especially since they bring the shop to you. Would highly recommend. "
