"
and his helper came on time, as promised and provided an exceptional service and value. The shrubs needed trimming all the way around the" house, including away from the AC condenser. Plus there were some branches from trees in the woods in the rear that needed to be whacked. Worked hard, got it done, hauled it away, and left the yard looking great.

"Duc came out to do an estimate and wrote everything down we agreed on everything. He showed up with 2 people Sunday morning before 8:30 am. When I spoke to him about" everything that needed to be done, I said and don't forget the power washing, he said we had never discussed that, he would have to go get one and he would just 'throw it in' I thought it was odd as that was what was discussed. They trimmed 1/2 of the hedge, broke an underground wired light and didn't weed the bank or the window boxes. I asked the worker how the light broke and he replied "it wasn't like that?"
. I said no. I went in the house to call Duc and I looked out my window to see the 2 men digging a hole and trying to cram the light in there so it stayed up so it wouldn't look broken..unbelievable. I spoke with Duc and he seemed agitated and said well we 'threw in the pressure washing' so we really shouldn't have to pay - I had a copy of the original estimate and not only was power washing on it, he had circled it, he wasn't throwing anything in, it was part of the original estimate. Will I receive a check for what they broke? I'm not holding my breath and I have a bunch of weeding to do and have to finish trimming the hedge.

How to Get Rid of Springtails

One of the most effective ways to control springtails is to dry out the infested area. Springtails require a high-moisture environment to breed and thrive, living mostly off of algaes that grow in moist conditions. They will either leave the infested area or die out. If there is an infestation that cannot be controlled by drying out the infested area, use an appropriately labeled insecticide with a residual time These will typically be a liquid concentrate form, a wet-able powder form, or a dust product.  DO NOT APPLY UNTIL AREAS ARE DRY.  If area will not dry naturally, use Corn Starch to soak-up any lingering moisture and otherwise 'steer' any rain water or irrigation away from area.

Also, if there is a noticed springtail infestation around the perimeter of the structure, use the insecticide to do a barrier treatment and apply corn starch to reduce or eliminate moisture. Caulk and seal all cracks and crevices and inspect potted plants before they are brought into the house.

I would talk to your local lawn and garden supply store (or mill and feed) - NOT a box store or hardware store. There are also selective grass control chemicals. YOu can research this by Googling using search string      "Tall Fescue Control" - there are lots of articles by the USDA and individual state cooperative extension services.

There is a treatment called chlorsulfuron TFC (Tall Fescue Control) that will do this - it worked for me in western New York, but took 3 years to finish out all the tall fescue. It may now be limited to use by commercial applicators - pretty potent stuff. Can yellow bluegrass or make it phytosensitive, but our looked OK during treatment because the TFC was applied in the fall for best results, and our lawn was dormant till spring anyway.

Tall fescue can also be controlled by real short mowing, but only in areas where the bluegrass is dominant and really thrives so will eventually crowd out the trimmed fescue, but you may be too far north for that.

We have a lot of plant beds and garden space that had been taken over by weeks. We didn't get the work done in the spring and by August our yard looked awful.
A crew showed up early and did the work in a day. Our previous company took much longer and never did a good job in the clean up. Our yard looked beautiful front and back. I don't know how they got all the weeds out, but the beds are very clean. They mulched and edged the beds beautifully. I was happy to see that the crew didn't rely on herbicides like our previous company did. Our previous company sprayed so much herbicide that it killed most of my flowers and some of our bushes.
Overall they did an excellent job for a good price.

I scheduled and appointment for Mr.
Scroggins Lawn Services Provider Name Locked
to come out and give me an estimate on work to be done in my yard. I let him decided which date and time would be best for him, and said that I would accommodate his schedule. I provided my name, phone number, and address to him. Now, here I sit and wait several hours later, and he still isn't here, nor has he called. I'm writing this off as a no-show.

We have used Agape several times before to mulch and weed our beds. They were great - very professional and did quality work. It was sometimes hard to get a hold of them because they were busy and we were happy for them as they were getting bigger and did a good job.
We used them originally in 2010 for weeding the beds and mulching, which cost $210.
In 2011, they quoted us the same cost for the same work, although we did not use them.
When we used them in spring of 2014 the cost had increased to $340 for the same work, which did not seem too unreasonable.
This year we asked them to quote the same work - mulch and weed. They were our top choice. The sales person,
Scroggins Lawn Services Provider Name Locked
, emailed back quickly. We got a time scheduled for him to come look and give us a quote. He emailed us a quote that indicated mulching would be $360, very similar to last year's cost. Additionally, the quote included all possible jobs they can handle. We then asked about availability and that was when he explained that mulching requires that we pay for another job - a one-time clean-up – not needed by us, but required for them before they mulch.
That drove the price up to $570 almost a 60% increase from the previous year's work in 2014. We emailed
Scroggins Lawn Services Provider Name Locked
, the guy we always dealt with before, and he confirmed that things have changed and yes that is a prerequisite now and that was the actual cost - $570.
They could have saved everyone some time and trouble if that information had been in the initial quote. They were easy to deal with, although a little slow, but a 270% increase for the same work over 5 years, and 60% increase year-over-year is unreasonable.
Fortunately there are other options for people and Angie’s list is a place to let people know the truth from the client perspective.

Amazing work. Was here all day and had great attention to detail! Hard working company and extremely affordable prices compared to other landscaping companies. They were meticulous with their trimming of bushes and did everything we asked. No frills company that does the job extremely well!!! Did not leave any mess to clean up. Workers kept to themselves and worked hard!!!! Very impressed with this company. Amazing value!

They ran the ad and when I called after purchase, they had NO reasonable availability.
The excuses that I got were that there was a large response to the ad (NOT MY PROBLEM) and combined with rain in the area (NOT MY FAULT), they couldn't get me a date until MAY when I purchased the deal in March.
Ridiculous to think that someone would wait that many months to get landscaping done.

Went very well. Very easy to do business with - timely quotes received via email and written clearly. The work was very well done and always very professional. Price was higher than most but fair, considering their results are consistently good. Any issues are resolved promptly.
