This porch, with its pillars and rounded railing, needed major repairs and some brand new custom-made carpentry, including the railings themselves.
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
did exquisite work. He was thorough, efficient, courteous, cooperative and clean. When we wanted to do some of the finish work ourselves (e.g. painting) he was fine with that. This porch was and is a work of art.

San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
at
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
drafting house has exceeded all of my expectations. Very pleasant to work with right from our first conversation. He was responsive and attentive to every design request and the work was performed with a heightened sense of importance and professionalism. I am getting started building my first house and I look forward to utilizing his knowledge and expertise, which he has readily offered, throughout the process.

1) New sill in rear entrance to garage is cracked in half, which I didn't notice until I went out to prep for painting because I don't use the back door.
2) Waterproof vinyl covering on sill on left-hand side.
3) New sill in screened area entrance was installed at an angle leaving open ends exposing rotting wood. An unsuccessful attempt was made to fill in the space on left side, with two pieces of wood.
4) A diagonal support beam in the left-hand side of the garage was ripped down when installing sill and pushed to the side where it hangs unattached from the ceiling.
5) Sills are covered with waterproofed plastic so I cannot ascertain the condition of the new wood sills elsewhere.
6) The outside sill was cut wrong, and the riser, which doesn't touch the pavement on one side is jammed at an angle over the rotten wood beneath leaving gaps on either side exposing rotted wood.
8) The stapled screen came undone in approximately a week.
7) Instead of replacing the badly worn back garage door, as I'd requested, it was patched together with screwed-in right-angle braces.
There was a breakdown in communication and lack of professionalism from the beginning to the end of the project. A month passed before I was able to get a commitment for the work to be started. When
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
assessed the job, he indicated that it could likely be done within the 4 hours stipulated in the Angie's Deal. There was also provisions in the deal for an unspecified number of additional hours at an hourly rate. I repeatedly requested a written contract describing what would be done and at what cost. I was repeatedly told that it was in the mail. I never did get a work plan or contract. What I did get was an invoice that he went back to his office to get on at lunchtime. When the work was underway, evidently it was more involved that anticipated. Instead of talking to me and asking how to proceed, he took it upon himself to do what I requested, except replacing the garage door. In trying to finish up in 8 hours, he rushed to replace the final sill, as described in 5) above. Had we had a discussion, perhaps the work could have been done satisfactorily with a little more time spent.
I didn't want to write this review, and hesitated for some time. I called
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
office before writing it and left a message letting him know I was not a satisfied customer. I waited several days for a call back, and it was a voice message from his secretary asking me to call her if she could be of help. The one bright note is that his assistant was courteous and seemed to be conscientious.

San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
came out to look at the project - a bathroom remodel which I assumed would cost about 35k.
Nice guy, we had a great chat, and he seemed very interested. He said that the first step would be to have his architect out to create a plan, which of course I would pay for, and then he would bid it from there. Great. I knew that was the first step all along, but I wanted an architect referred to me - I didn't want to blindly guess someone out of the phone book.
The architect never called.
I called
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
again a about two weeks later, and he said "Oh! He didn't call? I will make sure he calls you this time."
well. No. He never called, and
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
never called to follow up.
I took my time to meet him. I took time to call him back. Simply put - he wasted my time.

I'm surprised that I'm the first to write a review, and embarrassed that it's taken me this long because I've worked closely with
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
and his team on major remodels of 3 different houses over the last 6 years. The scope of work was very broad, but included tearing out and putting in a new kitchen and multiple bathrooms, painting, plumbing, electrical, trim carpentry, etc. As a real estate investor and Realtor for the last 12+ years, I've worked with and talked to a very wide variety of vendors. I find most of them on Angie's List and then forget to write reviews because most of them essentially know what they're doing but are unremarkable, but my years of experience with
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
have been 100% positive, and he and his team truly stand out from the competition and deserve recognition.
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
and his staff are incredibly gifted craftsman, but his real talent is solving problems. He understands what your goals are and can tell you the best way, the cheapest way, and ultimately the smart way to achieve them. On top of that, while he is "full service" he's not one of the many local contractors who charge an egregious amount for work they're just subbing out to someone else. If he can't do it, he'll tell you he's not interested in it. The pricing is very fair, and he sticks to his quote.
I'm speaking in generalities here because of the breadth of the work, but as someone who looks at a hundred reviews before even calling a vendor, this is the real deal. If you need a painter, a carpenter, a new kitchen, a new master bath, or a whole house remodel you should at least talk to
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
as one of your options. He couldn't be nicer, and I believe you'll be very happy with the work, whatever it is.

Having found Carpentry + You in a local
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
, I called and got
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
, the owner, and requested he come out to give us a quote on adding crown molding to our master bedroom. He came the next morning, bringing samples of the most popular crown molding profiles for use in a single piece crown application. I was impressed by his professionalism and knowledge from the start. He highly recommended we use poplar crown due to its superiority over pine or MDF. Having viewed the profiles, we narrowed it down to double-bead crown, an upgrade over the more common cove crown. This required a special order from the millwork company
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
gets his molding from. The crown was delivered in less than a week and
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
started the job immediately upon its arrival. Not only does
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
only use the best materials, but his work ethic, skill level and experience as a master craftsman is exceptional. His work is meticulous. His coping of corner joints was excellent. The entire job is flawless. And he has every tool imaginable for this job. High quality tools. With
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
, there is no such thing as "good enough". I am totally impressed!

Hooshang is an incredibly skilled carpenter. He explained to us clearly and accurately what work he would do and what part he would not do, so we knew from the beginning what we were getting for our money. The work took about 3 days total, and it is beautiful--it looks like it has always been a part of the house, blending seamlessly with the parts of the stairs that were not replaced. When, at the end of the project, there was a small gap between the new first step and a wall, he went back and fixed the gap for me in such a way that it's invisible. When I asked, he also replaced one of the new balusters that had a minor nick in it without blinking an eye. Overall, he was very professional and responsive. I would absolutely recommend him to friends and family, and if I needed stair work done in the future, I would be happy to have him do it.

We had a deadline to meet on some necessary repairs and we needed a contractor who would get the job done.
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
was able to complete all requested tasks within a week, both perfectly and professionally. They even had time to paint and trim an additional room for us. Their crew was courteous and respectful of our home and showed up promptly each day that they said they would. The value for the cost of the repairs was very reasonable and the finished work was high quality.
I would highly recommend
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
to anyone needing home repairs and would gladly welcome
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
and his crew back into our home for future construction needs. Please feel free to contact me if any additional feedback is needed. 6155160870.

San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
had an opening in his schedule the next day. On the phone he asked perceptive questions and quickly understood our priorities: first, make room for the new fridge; second, retain as much storage space as possible; third, make it look as nice as reasonable -- but if it turns out less than perfect (and it was far from perfect to begin with), that will be a good incentive for us to think about the long-overdue full kitchen remodel we really need one of these years.
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
showed up as scheduled, with a very well-equipped truck and trailer. He discussed options and details and we agreed on a plan. He was quite familiar with the 1950s construction techniques and materials used in our kitchen. He proceeded to efficiently pull out the old cabinets, keeping them as intact as possible. He then came up with ways to modify everything to fit the new dimensions -- to the extent of disassembling four drawers, trimming their pieces to new sizes, and reassembling.
After a day and a half, everything turned out great -- much better than we had expected when we'd originally been thinking about getting someone to do this job.
At the end,
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
started to give us advice about how to sand, caulk and spackle before painting, but we asked him to come back the next day to take care of all that prep for us. He spent a couple of hours doing so, and did a very nice job.
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
was always professional, smart, calm, knowledgeable, friendly, and happy to discuss options and reasons.
