Amazing company. This job was way too small for these guys but they did me a HUGE favor. Gave me a receipt for materials. Spent a lot of time explaining the job to me. Hands down one of the best experiences with a contractor I have ever had, (I haven;t had many of course). If they treated me so well for a job they didn't really make much, if any, money on I can only imagine how they treat their customers for big jobs....which unfortunately I am about to call them for as I no longer have a bathroom ceiling due to a water leak....

I had a contractor who had quoted to remodel my entire house that I hired off the list. long story short, he did a terrible job, walked off after going over budget and didn't finish allot of what he started.
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
along with some others I will post review's for came in and saved my wife's dream house for her. He had to go back and fix allot of terrible tile work for me, do some plumbing work, and even showed up on two Saturdays that he was not scheduled to be here just to ask if he could pitch in and help to finish my project (he did not charge me for either Saturday, said he just felt bad about what the other contractor had done and wanted to help) In a terrible situation, he and two others saved my bacon, and I couldn't be more appreciative. If you want to hire a good honest hard working guy then

In February 2014 we received a reasonable estimate from
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
to re-tread our staircase with oak treads and risers, as well as replace the railings and balusters. We also agreed to provide wood flooring for our two landings to be installed by them (labor quoted in estimate).
We signed the contract were told the job would take two days and was slated to start on March 5th.
They started the job a day late on the 6th which wasn’t that big of a deal, however they never called to confirm the dates as they said they would, we had to call them. On the morning of the 6th the installer showed up to start the job. After walking through the project, he threw a curve ball at us by saying “we
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
’t really do flooring”.
The job wound up taking 5 days to complete, not 2. On day 1, after the materials delivered, I noticed they had delivered white risers as opposed to the oak ones we paid for. Had I not caught that it could have been a bigger issue if he started installing them. Additionally, there were several other instances where the incorrect or insufficient materials were delivered to us and the installer waited around for hours at times doing nothing, he said it was typical. With the lack of progress after two days of work, I opted to install the hardwood floor myself over the weekend, since they “
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
’t really do flooring” anyway.
Another major issue was the area where the starter (1st step) meets the tile floor, it was supposed to be built out large enough to cover the old starter step footprint, it was not, and I had to request molding to cover the gap. That was provided incorrectly twice, they
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
’t install it either. Ultimately, I made a template myself and went to their shop and waited for them to cut the molding then installed it myself. This was also initially met with a nasty response from
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
since I withheld the final payment until I received the correct molding.
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
says that all their installers are “Master Craftsmen” but I later learned from
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
that another reason for the delay is that the installer had “trouble with the
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
”.
Throughout the job the installer had loads of negative things to day about
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
and the owners. He was clearly frustrated with the place. One policy he kept bringing up was the fact that each installer is treated more like a subcontractor in that they are assigned a job and they own it. It is up to them to get it done and follow up if anything goes wrong, they are paid for each job similar to a subcontractor. He also said it was not uncommon for a homeowner to be told a period much shorter than what it would realistically take the one installer to do (another thing he mentioned…{his words} was typically one installer is assigned no matter the job).
In the end the project was completed, but not to the standards they lead you to believe it would be. The major issue was the angle that the installer had trouble with, we didn’t notice it at first, at the curve in the pie shaped step the balusters are not in-line because the angle of the railing was not cut to match the angle of the step (as it was originally).
To that point we were not pleased with
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
, but the job was done and the steps looked good after I applied stain and polyurethane.
HERE IS WHY I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM:
In June, a section of the railing had separated. Their contract guarantees the craftsmanship for 1 year. I called and spoke to
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
who said they would call me back and get someone over to look at it. Later that day
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
called back and said they would get back to us to schedule someone to come out. Two weeks later, after not hearing from them, I called and was told they would look into it and call me back…no call back. A week later, I called them again and they said they told our original installer to call me back and would follow-up with him. A week after that I spoke to
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
and she apologized and said I have your number in front of me and she or the installer would get back to me before 4PM that day. THAT WAS THREE WEEKS AGO AND NO CALL BACK.
Save yourself the headaches of dealing with their hot and cold attitude and their disgruntled employees and look elsewhere for a more professional contractor who will stand behind their work!

San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
did such a wonderful job, I decided to write a review. It is so hard to find a good, professioanl contractor these days, and it was so nice to not have to deal with a big company that subs out work.
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
has a great attention to detail, and is a trustworthy guy. I would definitely refer him to someone, and plan to use him again in the futute.

Thanks!

So, so thankful for a contractor and crew that actually knows what they are doing! My house was a complete gut and remodel - I mean everything was replaced. I went through two contractors right off the bat, neither very skilled and both really slow. A friend recommended
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
, and after seeing what he had done for their home and their business office I jumped at the opportunity. I did have to wait to get him as he was pretty busy, but when he started the job I actually had a crew of skilled contractors at my house on time and working every day. What a concept...
Since I had extensive need for custom cabinetry and moldings, I really needed someone who was experienced and skilled in woodworking. He is definitely the one to call. All of my cabinetry was designed and built by
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
on site (and they are beautiful). He also built my whole kitchen, (which had to be redesigned due to architect errors that
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
caught - which could have been a crazy costly error). He did all of my flooring, custom moulding and a ton of other things I can't even begin to recall.
The remodel took about six and a half months from start to finish. It basically is a new house. Although, I claim that I acted as my own general contractor,
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
practically organized and oversaw all my subs as well as fixed all of the other subs errors. Seriously, there were a lot of errors, tile, sheet rock, paint - you name it, he fixed them ALL. He is extremely thorough and insists that everything is done correctly. If there was a sub that I chose to complete a job,
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
was very willing to work with them, but always made sure that they produced quality and proper work. He also always ensured we were satisfied with the way things looked ascetically.
My family and I are not new to remodel projects and have been through our fair share of contractors.
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
is by far the most skilled and capable contractor we have encountered. He is very professional and extremely easy to work with especially if you have any changes you will want to make before or even after something has been built or installed, which of course we did. This remodel, although exhausting was one of the most beautiful and well-built projects we have ever completed. Although we thanked
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
and his crew numerous times for such a great job, I think that referring him through Angie's List is a much more prolific thank you!

I have used
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
for several jobs in the past and have always been satisfied with his quality of work and his pricing. I own a condo unit in a building in Brookline and after exhausting all of the contractors recommended by the management company I knew
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
was the one to get the job done the right way, in a timely manner and at a cost that was not outrageous. He did not let me down. the tenant is happy and so am I. From beginning to end his professionalism out matched that of those who did not
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
the bid for the project. He was accommodating as to the tenants schedule and the timing of his work.
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
is currently starting another project with me on a commercial building and I look forward to the process knowing
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
is the contractor I can rest assured knowing he will head off any issues should they arise and get me a suitable solution for the needs of my business. You will not be sorry in your decision to hire
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
for your next project.

The hardest part about this job was getting Mr.
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
and Mr.
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
to come out to give us an estimate. I know it is the busy time of the year and that they live nearly an hour away from us, so even this wasn't so bad. We were very happy with the price they quoted and didn't even end up talking with any other contractors. They did a tremendous job once they got started, too. You can tell from looking that they take pride in their work and just want their customers to be happy. They replaced a little more siding than we had agreed to because they said it wouldn't have looked right otherwise and they didn't even charge me for the material. Mr.
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
would meet me each evening when I got home from work to show me what they had done that day and also alert me if he found anything concerning. That personal touch makes sure that you are getting exactly what you want. He even noticed my junk pile on the last day and offered to haul it away since he had to take the scrap from the job to the dump anyway. These guys do tremendous work and really do just want you to be happy with the job they have done. We are already talking to them about some interior work once the weather starts to turn.

Going into the project, I knew that I wanted the lower handrail and spindles to match the upper staircase, and that I wanted to keep the old post at the bottom of the staircase that was never installed properly.
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
came with a lot of ideas of how to execute my vision.
After I hired him, he arrived promptly to begin the project. The first day he completed the post repair and the small section of ceiling. Since the handrail was not anything you'd ever find in a Home Depot,
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
had to order it custom from a shop. Since the shop was bogged down with orders, we had to wait a week or so for it to be complete.
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
came back the next week to install the handrail and spindles.
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
was great at explaining everything he was doing and why he was doing it that way. The shaky post is now rock solid and the completed work looks fantastic! Did a great job matching the look of the handrail on the upper staircase. Would definitely hire again.

We hired
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
to perform some ceiling work. We had removed
the acoustic “popcorn” ceiling, and what was left over our head was in fact
over our head to remodel.
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
came in and finished 2 ceilings with orange
peel after doing a ton of sanding and build up to make the ceiling appear flat,
which it clearly was not when he started. The experience was similar in another
room where the ceiling was also very wavy when he started and it appears very
flat after he was done.
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
was very busy and came in worked quickly, and
left to work on other jobs while things dried.
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
showed up when he said he
would and was always on time. Customer service is very important to
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
.
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked

was the only contractor we contacted (at least 5) who would call us back. I
would recommend
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
to anyone looking for a skilled contractor.
San Angelo General Contractors Provider Name Locked
was
very reasonable and fair on price.
