He’s very professional and very knowledgeable. I had some work done on my teeth and he did a good job. He’s very punctual as far as the appointment time and everything is concerned.

Words cannot begin to express how happy I am to have found

We had just moved to the area in
2011. I turned to Angie's list to find a new dentist for my husband and I...and set an appt w/
for 29 Aug for an exam and cleaning.

Then, around the 22nd of
...I began to experience pain in a molar that had been crowned in PA early this year....which I attributed to the sinus pain and pressure I was also experiencing. After 5 days of ibuprofen and husband called to get me an emergency appt, since I was flying back to PA on 29

I went to the office at 8am on the 28th. They performed xrays and Dr.
examined the tooth. Since the xrays showed the nerve was healthy, but the sensitivity tests suggested the need for root canal, Dr.
referred me to Lone Star Endodontics...because he did not want me to have an unnecessary procedure. The
staff coordinated the appt w/ Lone Star Endodontics so that I could be seen the same day!

Turns out I did need a root canal...and Dr.
was absolutely wonderful and very calming to this anxious dental patient!! I will provide an equally high rating for Dr.
and Lone Star Endodontics on their site. But, I will just say that as a person who normally dreads dental visits....I could have not been in better hands by both
and Lone Star Endodontics! Absolutely amazing dentists and staff...and absolutely no issues w/ insurance or billing!

When I go for my appt on the 29th of Aug, Dr.
will put a permanent filling in my root canal...along w/ my exam and cleaning. THANKS TO ALL FOR SUCH OUTSTANDING CARE!

Overall, I had a good experience with Dr.
Round Rock Dentists Provider Name Locked
. I needed urgent care and to find a general dentist. Dr.

was competent, caring, and I liked him. He had a good bedside manner, discussed things plainly, and only did what was necessary. I plan to continue seeing him. During my experience, my only problems were with my temporary, but I can't necessarily blame that on my dentist (other than perhaps his choice of material?), and he and the staff dealt with my problems in a timely fashion. Below are full details of my experience.

I had some old cracks in my tooth that caused me some minor issues, but nothing too serious. Unfortunately, I cracked a molar again and found that I had ongoing pain. I had not found a dentist yet in

(though it had been 6 years). So I joined Angie's List, got information, and talked to friends. I chose Dr.
Round Rock Dentists Provider Name Locked
largely on the basis of those recommendations and because he was included in my insurance coverage.

I was able to get an appointment right away, within a couple of days, and the office staff was very nice and professional. I told them that I cracked a tooth and probably needed a crown. They explained that they would set up an immediate appointment for urgent care of my new problem, then when I got my permanent crown later I would have a full dental exam.

On the day of my appointment, 5/3/1, Dr.

and one of his assistants examined me. Took an xray just of that tooth. Discussed probable and possible issues. I needed to get a crown (which I had expected). But Dr.

also warned me that I might need a root canal and explained why. He said that he wouldn't know for sure until he prepped the tooth for the crown. I was given the full estimate for the cost. I agreed to the procedure. He gave me injections of anesthetic. He removed the fractured tooth and prepped the tooth for a crown (drilled). Throughout the procedure, he was gentle and concerned that I was comfortable. Happily, the root seemed okay, and he said it would probably heal without a root canal. He told me the symptoms that would indicate a problem so that we could monitor the root health. I felt that he gave me good information that I needed to be a partner in my care decisions. I had the impressions made for the permanent crown, then the assistant made my temporary. He checked it and gave the okay. I made my appointment for the permanent crown for three weeks from then (the time the lab needed to make the permanent crown).

Unfortunately, some of the temporary crumbled off overnight a few days later. I waited a few days then decided that I didn't want to live with the sensitivity. I came in and another assistant filled it in with filling material (like a cavity filling). She explained that it was important to have the temporary both for blunting the tooth sensitivity and to maintain the space for the permanent crown, and I shouldn't just "live with" any problems with it. That was good patient education.

Again, unfortunately, the whole temporary popped off a few days later! I called into the dentist office, and they made an immediate appointment for me. In addition, my appointment for placement of the permanent was scheduled for a week and a half later, so the scheduling staff called the lab to see if there was anyway they could rush my crown so that I could save an appointment. I felt that they were really trying their best for me. It didn't work out, so I had to get a new temporary on one visit and then still come in as scheduled for my permanent. I had no additional problems with the new temporary.

On 5/25/11 I went in for placement of the permanent crown. It was very easy and Dr.

worked carefully on the fit. It still felt a little funny to me, but he said it looked good and recommended a conservative course -- instead of taking more off of the crown or the surrounding teeth, wait a couple of days, then if it still felt funny, do additional work then. (He was right. It is now mid-

, and I have had no problems with my crown and my bite alignment is good.)

On that day I also had full xrays and a tooth / gum line probe by the hygienist. Afterwards, Dr.

discussed the results with me (yea, no more crowns for now) and scheduled a regular cleaning with the hygienist (which later went well and was easy).

Fortunately our insurance doesn’t include them and I always pay them. Any time my wife goes there she always would mail something or the other. My wife goes every six months for cleaning. They are really honest. My mother was also having some problem with her teeth and she went there and they took care of that. They do really well. I can schedule them through online and they would confirm through email and that is really easy.

A note to Angie's list coordinator - before I enter my report. You folks should wait until a person completes their treatment before demanding a report. I had only two appointments in a series of four when you sent me demands - I deleted your requests so I cannot tell you how many I received. Further I do not want my name made public on your web site. I know you have it and that is fine, but not the general public. If you do publish my name - rest assured I shall cancel your service immediately. Now to my report. I selected a dentist from your web site based on proximity, ease of access and prior patients' statements. I do not think it would be possible to receive any better treatment than what I experienced. Since I had recently moved to this area - your service was a welcome lifeline in obtaining the service. I broke a tooth on Wednesday, joined Angie's list on Thursday selected a dentist on Friday and made an appointment for the following Tuesday. I suspect they expedited my appointment with the expectation that I would be suffering the effects if neglected for normal processes and appointment procedures. I went to the first appointment with the expectation that I would be examined and scheduled for a follow-up appointment to help my situation. Dr. Smiith examined my tooth, told me what he thought should be done and gave me pricing information. He then stated that he had a patient cancel a scheduled appointment and that if I had time, he would begin treatment immediately. I readily agreed and since I have an insatiable curiosity I ask him to tell me what he was going to do and to explain what and how he was doing it while proceeding with his work, fortunately for me, he agreed and did just that. At the end of a couple of hours of treatment I went out of the office with a temporary crown in place and an appointment to return in three weeks to have the permanent crown installed. The second appointment, in my estimation, was superb. The crown was installed, some minor adjustments to the biting surface was required and it was done. Dr.

then did something that I have not experienced in my seventy years of dental care; in that he took and x-

and showed me what had been done and explained how a crown should follow the contour of the tooth being protected. On that x-

was another tooth with a crown and he showed and explained to me what I would characterize as an over-hang. The comparison of his work to the prior work was amazing. I could not have been more pleased. The other two appointments were to fill three minor cavities he had discovered and to clean my teeth. The service was very professional and the appointment times were scheduled and followed like good clock work. The office staff and the assistants that I had contact with were all well mannered, polite and well groomed. I could not be happier with the whole experience.

I arrived a few minutes early for my 10:00 appointment, and right at 10, the hygienist took me back to the exam area. She talked to me for a few minutes to break the ice and find out if I had any concerns. The cleaning itself was very gentle but thorough, and I even got to choose the flavors of toothpolish and fluoride. She was always very attentive to make sure that I was comfortable and did a thorough job of rinsing after each step of the cleaning. After the cleaning, Dr.
Round Rock Dentists Provider Name Locked
spent about 10 minutes talking with me about my concerns and looking at my teeth. The whole experience was efficient, not rushed, and I appreciate that they always take time to listen and ask questions about both current and past concerns raised at a previous visit.

I like Dr.
Round Rock Dentists Provider Name Locked
. I just like his honesty and the fact that he takes care of us. He does a good job. The office environment is very clean. The staff is wonderful. We have no complaints at all with any of them including the ones that did the cleaning and all that.
- dot Z.

He is a very good dentist. He does good work and he is a pleasant individual to deal with. He doesn't try to oversell and do things that aren't really needed. We have been pretty pleased with him.

It was an especially terrible experience because my wife repeatedly told the staff and dentist her sole purpose for the visit. My wife had to arrange for child care to make this appointment scheduled weeks in advance. She felt like the dentist was trying to rip her off and was trying to intimidate and scare her into unnecessary dental work, while minimizing her immediate need for a cavity to be filled.
- William M.

The dentist and the staff are nice and friendly. They have a new office, and they have updated their chair and have a television you can watch. They are very patient with the kids and answer all their questions.
